Yes you can decrease your data plan, but not during the current billing cycle (unlike increasing the data plan). You can make the change via your on-line MyVerizon account if you're the Account Owner/Manager or call Customer Service. The decreased plan would be effective at the start of your next billing cycle.

No. You can't transfer features between the lines on the account.
You could switch which number you use. You start using her phone number and she uses yours.

Well when I made the change online since that seems to be the thing that Verizon wants it's customers to do and I didn't see all the different plans available and just did the upgrade to 8g. Next bill had over $900 in roaming charges on her phone line. I called the 1-800 number and waiting for a service rep and after 20 minutes of waiting and being put on hold was told it was the customers mistake and there was nothing they could do.Thanks for nothing. I called back after thinking about it and wondered why changing a data plan for the phones in the US would change a international call plan. Waiting over 10 minutes again between waiting for a service rep and hold for one to answer the call. Gave her all the information about it and she said she would call back. Well, 4 days later over the weekend she had nevered called back. So on the phone again for the third time and after 20 plus minutes again was told that when I did it online I click the plan that didn't include international call only the data plan. Explained that I never saw the difference in the plan packages so put on hold again and was told that they could credit $100 to my bill. Wow, thanks alot !!! We have been Verizon customers for probably atleast 12 years and this is how you treat your long term customers?

Remove data plan from family plan with basic phones?

Is there a way to remove a data plan from a family plan with just basic phones on it? We used to have a $20/month basic plan until we had to get a data plan for our son's iPhone. He no longer has the iPhone with Verizon and has removed his line from the plan because he has an Android with Sprint. We also were required to use the data plan because we at one point had one of those "Hotspot" devices as a temporary solution for at-home Internet until our DSL line could be fixed. As of now we no longer have the hotspot device or the iPhone, but we still have a data plan that is patently useless because all we have are basic phones. On the My Verizon Wireless website, it says that "your text and data are now bundled with your plan" or something to that effect. I don't want to be paying extra for a useless data plan that we don't need or want because we are not in the market for fancy smart phones or tablets any time soon.
Is there any way to unbundle or detach the data plan so that we no longer have one and just have the unlimited text and calling plan without data? Our daughter is fine with her EnV Touch from 2005 and us old folks are perfectly content with the basic flip phones. Is the EnV a data phone too, in which case we should get rid of the EnV Touch in favor of an even more "basic" basic phone? She's not much of a technology buff like her brother is and has even suggested getting rid of the "fancier" phone that she has for a basic flip phone. As I understand the plans now (and this could be wrong, they change so often I get confused!!) to have the "pay as you go" data, on the More Everything, you have 700 shared minutes. To bump up to unlimited minutes, there is an attached data plan of 500 MB, and the total cost for 4 basic phones, unlimited minutes and text, 500 MB data, is $100/mo ($20 for each basic phone line access, and $20 for the data). The 700 shared minutes and pay as you go data is $85.

In most cases you keep the same plan and promotions even when you upgrade the phone. There are exceptions for very old plans and unlimited data, but essentially mrhelper is correct. You have option to "keep current plan" when upgrading. so in most cases, your statement that you will go back to $100 for 10 GB when upgrading is incorrect. What was your particular circumstance?

Can a blackberry Torch 9800 be configured to connect to mail servers online and download email via wifi instead of getting it through the cellular connection. I am travelling and have SIM and WiFI but no Blackberry data plan from provider. So I want to use wifi to receive and send email.

You both are correct.
You must have the BlackBerry data plan on your home account.
When you travel, you will roam on other mobile providers. Turn your wifi on when at a hotspot, and mobiile network > data services on. When off of wifi, ueen your data services off not to consume expensive roaming data.

How can I return the current Date in Java?

I am new to Java, and basically I want to know how I can return the current date as a variable, so for example, I have declared the following date variable
private java.util.Date currentDate;How can I return the current date, do I have to write a method? To be more specific, I need to write a setMethod, that simply returns the current Date in Java.

If all you want is a date for printing or displaying, the easiest way is to use Date as shown below. If you need something more complex, look at the Calendar API.

Also try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple lo comes up again. You will not lose any data doing this.

How can I make the current date/time be sent when emailing as XML?

I'd like to make the PDF form capture my customer's system time, so that I know when they filled out the form. I COULD just leave that up up the customer and use required current date and time fields, but that provides the ability for the customer to falsify that information.
Is there any good way to capture the current date/time in the XML data, so that the customer doesn't need to nor has the ability to?

MORE EVERY CAN&MX 1000MIN feature limits Data plans to 50Gb. Why?

I travel to Canada frequently, I have 2 smart phones, 2 MIFI devices and Home Fusion. My entire connection to the internet is through Verizon.
I recently learned that I am not able to keep my MORE EVERY CAN&MX 1000MIN feature if I want to increase my data plan to more than 50GB. Why is that? How are they related? You don't choose them together when you are setting up your accounts? You choose your data plan and you add on the Canada calling as a feature.
An hour on the phone with Customer service, and have run those poor folks around in circles. All they know is that they can't give me a 60Gb data plan and keep the Canada calling feature.
How do I work around this?

May attempt to hack BIOS on my own, or talk to HDD/SSD thru "notorious" HDDerase Utility which bypasses BIOS but risk is high. Lame BIOS may not enumerate a locked ATA device at PowerOn, yet some people from Intel SSD forum reported success.
P.S. ATA Password is crackable.
If you had a drawer full of locked harddrives, it is an indication how many people messup (at least in America in recent times, we seem to be losing Technical edge -how does one lock their own harddisk and forget pass is beyond me).
But for those folks who suffer from forgetfulness:
Basically a question of Cost vs. Data value.
If Data really valuable, they can PAY and get it cracked after proving OWNERSHIP (whatever company cracks ATA pass w/o requring proof, is illegal).
My data is far more valuable than a collection of {Content Removed: Language Filter Evasion} or grandma's photos - I keep industrial design files, banks, and secret letters, but cracking ATA Pass is fairly expensive and not worth for thief to steal my data. So it's kind of effective.
If I need ot crack it - first off, I don't forget passwords
Second, if you are the owner and esperienced person, you do keep backups and image(s) and just write off $$ you spend on harddrive as a LOSS, and restore image to a new Harddrive. SSD's take only minutes to restore image (though losing locked SSD is more expensive than locked HDD).

Can I use a usb data cable from a classic ipod with my 3rd generation iTouch?

I can't find the usb data cable for my 3rd generation iTouch but I have an old cable from my old ipod classic. It appears to be similar but is it electrically identical for syncing and charging or not?

If it looks the same it should be OK. Some older iPods used Firewire so it the cable has an extra connector (more that the dock connector at one end and a USB connector on the other end) do not use it.

We can copy standard Infocube to Realtime Infocube ,it will work in BI7.0.
The procedure is 1) Go to Context menu of Standard IC and select copy option.
                             2)In Edit IC option select Real Time and create it ,it copies as real time info cube.
                             3)But for Loading data,Go to context menu of Real time IC and select option Change Real Time Load Behavior
                                 we get 2 options the first one is 1)Real time data target can be loaded with data,planning not allowed ,if we select data will be loaded.
                             4)if we go for second option that is 2)Real time data target can be planned , data Loading not allowed ,if we select this,it is used for planning that is comparison of data.
                            5) This is difference between standard and Real Time InfoCube.
