Can i delete all my pictures in photo stream?

If I can't delete individual pictures from photostream, can I delete all of them and start over?

you can "reset" the stream : www.icloud.com , login and click on your name to bring up the option. But all pictures of before will re-populate the stream again.
You can only completely turn off photostream if it is not what you thought it is..

  • HT4759 icloud on my PC does not bring up all my picture in photo stream

not all my photo stream picture can be viewed from my PC.  Is there a reason?

It's probably happing because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted).  When you enabled photo stream on your PC you would have only received photos from the last 30 days.
To transfer older photos to your computer, create a shared photo stream that contains them and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

  • Can't delete all my pictures anymore

I've previously deleted all of my pictures on my Windows desktop, but this time when I tried, it gave me this error as I had finished backing them up onto my external hard drive "____ (whatever the name of the folder is) could not be deleted. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." ven
I've restarted my phone, computer, and have even done it on laptop, and I get the same results everytime.
How do I fix this issue?

I'm also having this issue, I've taken the photos off and backed them up and now need to remove the folders and photos from my phone and can't, just get the above error...
    Thanks.

  • I am moving all my iphoto pictures to seperate folders outside of iphoto.  I have found iphoto slighlty cumbersome.  After I move all pictures from iphoto to a separate file how can I delete all the iphoto photos without deleting the ones in the file?

I am moving all of my iphoto pictures into seperate folders becuase iphoto is great, but a bit cumbersome when I need to transfer all the pictures to a external drive.
    1) After I move all pictures, how can I delete the iphoto pictures without destroying the ones I have in files
    2) how can I ensure that I have sucessfully captures all the iphoto files so when I delelte from iphoto I have not forgotten any
    3) is there a way to determine what duplicate pictures I have?
    Thanks!

If you Control click on the iPhoto Library, you'll see a list of folders - one named "Masters". Inside of this folder are all of your original, high-res photos. You can copy them to other folders if you like.
You can't delete iPhoto pics without deleting the ones in the iPhoto Library.
You can copy all of your Masters pics out of the Library, ensuring that you won't forget any.
I don't know of anyway to determine if there are duplicate photos - most (if not all) have a unique name assigned.
    Good luck,

I accidentally deleted all of my vacation photos from photo stream on my iPad.  Is there any way to recover these pictures back into my iPad?

Lots of iPad users think it is impossible to recover lost data from iPad, in fact , it is possible.
Method 1: Trash bin to recover the deleted photos
Restore from your iCloud backup, if you used iCloud to backup your phone, see iCloud: Backup and restore overview, or estore from a backup you made with iTunes on your mac.
Method 2: Restore from the PhotoStream synced to your other devices.
Do you have Photo Stream enabled? Then your iPad will have a sent all photos added to the camera roll to the photo stream, and other devices you sync with the Photo Stream may have downloaded the photos, see: iCloud:
    Hope this helps.
If you make a backup previously, you still can recover your iPad photos from backup.

  • HT4906 Can I delete all the photos on my photo stream?

Can I delete all the photos on my photo stream as the same photos automatically go to my iPhoto library so why have both & waste memory? Not sure? Especially all my photos including photo stream photos are on my iPhone 5 & it's taking up so much memory. It's more of a memory issue on my iPhone 5, 32gb.

  • If I delete all my photos in my camera roll will it still be in my iCloud ??? And I made a photo stream for pics of me and my friends is t in my iCloud ? I want to delete all my pictures but will it be in my iCloud ?

If I delete all my photos in my camera roll will it still be in my iCloud ??? And I made a photo stream for pics of me and my friends is t in my iCloud ? I want to delete all my pictures but will it be in my iCloud ?

Don't rely on iCloud to back up your pictures.  It's designed to sync them to your devices, not back them up.  Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing your devices enough time to download them.  But if you ever lose your device, or have to replace it, any photos older than 30 days will no longer be in iCloud to download.
To keep your photos, import them to your computer using your usb cable while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  After importing them, you will be given an option to delete them from your device.

I deleted all my pictures on my Ipad for more space and it still says that I am using 6.6 GB on photos.   I've seen a lot of posts on this, but still can't come to any solution.  HELP!!!  Thank you so much for any help offered.  It's driving me crazy!

I believe that is not exactly correct.
You get two options - restore as new, or restore from your backup.  You chose to restore from your backup, which is very different from "restoring your apps."
Try it again.  This time, restore as new, and then manually add your apps back in by redownloading them one at a time.

  • Startup Disk full. I have external backup drive. Can I delete folders in My Lightroom photos?

I am using Mac Intel OSX Lion. I received a screen message that stated my startup disk is full. I am positive this is due to my 10,000 or so photos (mostly RAW files) stored in My Lightroom photos folders. Since my photos are externally  backed up can I delete those 9000-10,000 photos in various folders of My Lightroom? And by doing this do I free up disk space in my computer's hard drive?
I might also mention that photos created in LR5 are saved to folders in the Mac's Pictures area under "Favorites." So am I duplicating, i.e, doubling the file hogging capacity, because it is in Pictures and also in LR5. Any help is much appreciated.

    Jim,
See my posted title: I backed up all 9000+ photos in 3 external hard drives. Two are full but the third still has a lot of capacity. All photos are saved in lossless .dng file. I don't have a problem going back to those external drive files if I want to do more post processing with the photos.  I fail to understand why my startup disk on the Mac is full as the great majority of file space taken up are from LR5 photos. I only have two or three Mac Applications: Swift Publisher and Quicken Essentials, both of which do not require huge hard disk space.
By the way, those 9000+ RAW files are also stored in Pictures in the Mac. 9000 files each about 20Mb I calculate to 180Gb. Am I right?

  • Iphone 4 pictures moved to ipad via icloud Cannot delete picture in Photo Stream on Ipad

I have an iphone 4 which connects to icloud,  I take pictures with the iphone,  the icloud syncs the picture to my ipad in the Photo Stream tab on the ipad.  I cannot delete picutres on the ipad photo stream tab. or my iphone (using photos) I don't know why the pictures I cannot delete. What can I do ?

You have to delete the photos using a Mac or PC at the iCloud.com website.  It is a two step process.
    1. Go to iCloud.com. Click on your Name (upper right), then Advanced, then Reset Photo Stream.
    2. Go to your iPad/Settings/iCloud.  Turn off PhotoStream.  This will delete the photos on your iPad.
It is all or none.  You can't selectively delete phots from your PhotoStream.
