Can I delete an Apple ID and then make it an alternate for another Apple ID?

I inadvertently created two Apple IDs, rather than adding an alternate email to one. I know there is no way to merge Apple IDs from other discussions, but if I delete the second Apple ID I created, can I then add that email address as an additional email address associated with the first Apple ID?
In other words, now I have these two Apple IDs:

[email protected]
What I'd like to do is delete the [email protected] Apple ID entirely; then edit [email protected] to make [email protected] an email address associated with that same user1 account. Will this work?

You can't delete the second(or any) Apple ID without contacting Apple. If desired, ask them.

iWork is universal, so it will work full-res on the iPad. This is true for any app which has the plus sign symbol (in the App Store in iTunes it will say "This app is designed for iPhone and iPad".

Yes. You can use the same password for all your accounts (although it's less secure to do so). You just have to use a different Apple ID to set up a new account.

My Home Sharing connection on Apple TV stops after 35 minutes. I have to go back to the computer, cancel Home Sharing in iTunes, restart Home Sharing and then it continues to work for another 35 minutes. How do I get it to continue running?

I thought that this was caused by the Energy Saving setting in Preferences, but I reset the shut down time to "Never" and it continues to happen. Is there some other setting that I need to change?

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

I wonder what your computing environment is. Is your account being administrated by another account? Are you working in an account subject to "Parental Controls"?

You can't merge accounts or copy content to a different account, so anything that you bought or downloaded via the old account is tied to that account - so any updates that those apps get you will only be able to download via that account. You can change which account is logged in on the iPad via Settings > Store

My ipod touch displays a loading symbol and then goes to the apple logo and then repeats the process. I cant turn it on or off and has been this way for the past 24 hours. I have an 8GB 4th Gen and have over 7,000 pictures, but cant delete. help

If it's not on your computer, you can still view it on the AppleTV under TV Shows - Purchased. It will stream from the cloud to your AppleTV.

When Microsoft decided not to support Windows Media any more, they made Flip4Mac available for free. If you have not taken advantage of that free download, this might be a good time.
It may not completely solve the problem, but your Mac will play more with the free player. No need to pay for the Upgrades.
