Will this mess up Ff?

The files that were in the \components\ folder in 3,6 and previous versions are in the Firefox 4 program files '''omni.jar''' file from what I have read and have seen. I don't recommend that you remove that file, but from what I have read WinRAR is probably the best program to use to open the omni.jar file. I have used WinRAR to extract the contents of that file to search for code for a different function, but I haven't tried repacking the omni.jar file. I have seen a few postings at MozillaZine where other users have had trouble getting Firefox to work after repacking the omni.jar file after modifying one of the internal files.

You can uninstall, not delete, if you want to, but they don't take up much room. There are features on the latest version that are missing from earlier versions.

There's really no mystery to uninstalling earlier versions of iWork. Just go to your Applications folder and trash both the iWork '05 and iWork '06 folders. But first make sure you remove any of the documents you may have created with them. It's not necessary to delete any other files.

Just to clarify--I was puzzled upon first reading your "No". However, upon reading further, I now will happily delete the old programs. (2.667 GB!). It was interesting to see the size increase for each one--from 207MB (3.4) to 780MB for 4.4.... The Control Panel (Win7HP) only lists 4.4, so I'll have to delete the old programs up to & including 4.3.

Can I recover earlier version of Powerpoint presentation? I accidentally deleted the content and then (DOH!) saved it.

EIGHT hours into a Powerpoint presentation. Wanted to delete the content of a particular slide. Did a "command +A" (select all), hit delete...and then like a complete idiot, saved it, thereby overwriting all of the content. The file itself has not been deleted...now it's just a blank presentation with all content MIA. Previous to this screw up, there were 49 versions. I want to download previous version 3.6 for Mac OS Leopard, 4.0 doesn't work on my config; can't find earlier version download and sadly 4.0 overrode my version then said I couldn't use 4.0, so now I have none!

How to uninstall safari 4.0.3 so i can reinstall and earlier version

i removed all traces of safari and when i tried to install an earlier version it would not, citing there was a newer version already installed. it would only install 4.0.3, which does not work. 5 minutes into it and it still would not load anything.
i don't have concierge on my computer, so that isn't the problem
nothing could be more stressful than having my work interrupted because i can't access the internet, lost all my bookmarks trying to get safari to work, and just plain old frustration that my complaint was deleted rather than addressed.
any suggestions other than a clean reinstall or something else that drastic would be appreciated.
meanwhile, i'm digging Firefox for the first time. it works.

i repaired permissions. i did all that.
i have done everything necessary. after 5 minutes of loading and loading and loading and still nothing being loaded, i gave up. after deleting every trace of safari and still there being something on the harddrive that is being identified as the more recent version (4.0.3) and not finding that remnent anywhere, i can't reinstall an earlier version. and reinstalling 4.0.3 didn't improve the situation at all.
what did improve my ability to get on any website really fast and come here to moan and groan that my day was ruined was thank god there is Opera! It's fast, it's easy to use and it zooms great. so until i get a better answer than no answer at all, i'll use Opera.

Firefox will not open. I have tried to uninstall and this wont work. I have laded beta version but I still can't uninstall earlier version. I would prefer the earlier version working. I have tried to update this version and that wont work either

I can't open firefox. I have tried to update, repair and uninstall and nothing works. I have checked that it is not already running. I have restored my pc to an earlier date, completed scans but it will still not work. I have loaded the beta version ok but I am not keen on it and would prefer the earlier version.

Can you uninstall the existing version of Adobe Reader from Add/Remove Programs?
If not, try to remove all remains of the previous installation with the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 ), then try to install the newest version again.

we come to one issue:
say we modify LDM at Nov 1th, and modify LDM at Nov 2th,but after commit what we did at Nov1th,and Nov 2th, we find there are 'mistakes' in Nov 2th,
how can we get an earlier version of LDM?(in our case, we want revert to version Nov 1th).
we use SDDM Version 3.1.1.703,and we share the project under subversion managed.
more questions:

1.what is best praise of backup in case we do something wrong and want rollback whole change to previous version?

say two users:user1 & user2 are working on the LDM, and remote directory called LDM_remoate
at Nov 2th,
user1 have a latest local working copy under his machine directory LDM_local_user1
user2 have a latest local working copy under his machine directory LDM_local_user2
At Nov3th,
user2 found some mistakes when user1 checked in at Nov 1th,so user2 want to get a earlier version say Nov 1 th,
according to your guide, user2 get the design reversion number Nov 1th, and re check out at new working copy(Nov 1th) under new local directory:LDM_local_user2_new
when user2 open LDM_local_user2_new, it indeed come back to version Nov 1th,
but in the incoming change window, it still show many incoming changes,
how to make the remote LDM_remote to become like LDM_local_user2_new? so that user1 only need check incoming change from LDM_remote as usual to make at local copy
LDM_local_user1 also reverted to version Nov 1th?

i need an older version of firefox because my virtual school is not compatible with the new version and i have a mac so i can't download internet explorer as a substitute.

I don't need all the expensive functionality of Adobe Cloud. I have Adobe IX installed. Can I still buy Adobe X or XI. Most software suppliers are very willing to sell at a discount earlier versions of software that they have on their shelves?
It would be nice to get an answer from Adobe directly - it seems to be impossible to pose an answer online to Adobe staff!!! Why do they hide away??

yes i have a question about this also. i have deleted and still see that it works with some websites. but each older version takes up about 90 MB size. the updates will not be left without deletion if there is no use for it. so, anybody has anything to say about this.
