Can i delete my itunes account?

then if ever i want to make a new one, can i use the same apple id and start a fresh account?

You can't currently delete an account, all you can do is remove all personal details from it and stop using it. If you've bought any content with it and you want to use that content in the future then you'll need to remember its id and password so that you can authorise the content on any new computers that you get.

How can I delete an iTunes account ?

Only iTunes Support can potentially delete an account (which would also delete any purchase history for it, so you would no longer be able to authorise that content on a computer, redownload it, and download updates to its apps) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
Or you could just remove any personal info from it (e.g. payment details if you have any on it) and stop using it

How can I delete an iTunes account from my iPhone so it's no longer associated with my device?

If you mean that it has the 90 day association : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
then you can either wait for the 90 days to complete, or you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can remove the association : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • I no longer have my iphone. how can I delete my iTunes account

How can I delete my iTunes account if I no longer have my iphone

You can't as such. If you have a credit card entered that you wish to remove, just go into the account settings through iTunes and choose "none" for the Payment Method:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
Then you can just stop using the account, if you no longer wish to buy music or other content for use on your computer.

  • How can i delete my itunes account as i think im being hacked, almost every day itunes are taking accessive amounts of money from my account!

Dear Apple support, how can i delete my itunes account as i think im being hacked!! over the past few months a lot of money seems to be taken from my account ranging from as little as £1 to £60... i cant take any more. Can i delete the account? Can u help me plase as i dont know what to do! Regards Teresa

Go into your iTunes account and eliminate the payment method to none.  Then change the password.  FInally notify iTunes support of your problem.  You will find ways to contact iTunes support on this website.  Email works very well with iTunes support.
You do not want to delete your account and there is no need to do that to prevent further hacking.  The reason is that any purchases of music, Apps, movies or whatever made with your iTunes account will be associated to that account and you can redownload them if you change iPhones, get an iPad or to your computer.  If you were able to delete the account, which you cannot do, you would have to repurchase everything.

  • Can I delete an itunes account completely and start fresh?

How do I get iTunes to stop billing my credit card after I deleted my credit card on my account and how do I delete my iTunes account.

You can't delete an iTunes account, all you can do is remove personal info from it and stop using it - any items that you downloaded with the account will remain tied to it.

  • How can I delete my iTunes account on my macbook pro.  I want to give my computer to someone else

Hi I have just bought a new mac book and have migrated everything accross.  I want to delete my itunes account so my husband can put his itunes on the computer.  I have deauthorised the computer but my music etc is still say there.  Any ideas?

Deauthorising doesn't delete music that already exists on your computer. You'll have to do that manually - assuming you really want to. Deauthorizing means, among other things, 1) any music with DRM, movies, or TV shows on your computer will not play until you reauthorize. Music without DRM will still play. 2) if you have an iPod, iPad, or iPhone you won't be able to sync your applications without first reauthorizing the computer. 3) you won't be able to purchase anything from the iTunes store until the computer has been authorized (with someone's account).

  • HT1918 How can I delete an iTunes account?

Need to delete new account in order to use current email on the original account

You can't currently delete an iTunes account.  If you want to use the email address on your old account then you will need to go into the new account and change its email address to something else (if you don't have another email account then create via, for example, gmail), and you should then be able to use that address on the old account.

  • I can't delete an itunes account that my xhusband also has on his iphone and my email account as well.  He can read my emails but I can't delete this itunes account because I can't access it for various reasons.  Short of paying apple to delete is a way?

I still think my xhusband can see my emails on his iphone since I had downloaded an app on his iphone using my itunes account. Now I can't get into this account for various reasons.  Is there any way of deleting this itunes account short of paying apple to do it?

You can't delete an iTunes accounr/Apple ID. All you can do is stop using it. What you can do is change your Apple ID password, as well as the password for your email account. That will put an end to this.

  • How can I delete an iTunes account that has been deactivated?

I deleted an old Apple ID with the help of a call to Apple Support.  However, my iphone is still trying to use the old ID.  How do I log out of the old ID and into the new?  Or, how can I delete the old ID when it has already been deactivated?  (Cannot delete with phone)

  • TS1702 How can i delete my iTunes Account?

Because of the new Security questions that iTunes has put on my Account, I can not download new apps to put on my phone. I have been in contact with Apple, iTunes and iCloud. Now I am to the point I just want to delete my current account and make a new one. This is so stupid, iTunes has been no help to me at all, the Apple people where rude to me and the iCloud has not even contacted me back. What am i soppose to do. I am very upset with all 3 of these company's, if you are going to change you product tell the people that are using it that you are going to change it and if there is a problem fix it. This is stupid i am now going on 2 weeks of not being able to download anything. I think that iTunes should allow me to at least make my own security questions and if you are going to make them for the customer at least let that person know the answer to there own account. I am going to say it again and again this corruptions needs to take responsiblity of there actions and if there is a problem fix it....

Actually Brooke, iTunes did that for additional Security purposes. It's not corruption. If iTunes is corrupt, they could've not entitled customers for refund when the customers does not want what they bought. If you're going to delete the account, all of your purchases will be gone. The security questions are originally set-up by you. If you can't remember setting them up, iTunes would likely ask you three questions. If it is asking you 3 questions, it means it's asking you to setup the questions now. If it's asking you 2 questions, it means it has been configured by YOU before. Go to appleid.apple.com to manage your apple id and see if you have a rescue email address where you can easily send the reset security questions email.

  • How can i delete the itunes account

i have just recently created mt itunes account not to download music but to use it to download my free digital copy dvd and upload it to itunes for free. and i have used the codes for the dvd but when it downloads when it finishes it disappears and i can't watch it or find it or use the codes again because it can only be used once. it's faulty on itunes not the codes. so it's pointless to me. because i can't use the codes again. so can you delete the account since i won't buy anything anymore. i only wanted digital coppies. and i want all my personal card details deleted so no one can hack it or use my name
    thank you

Take your credit card information out and stop using the account.  Simple as that.
You are not addressing Apple here.  We are all itunes users like you.

  • How can I delete old itunes account out of phone

An old defunct email address keeps showing up on to download apps, even though it has all be updated on iTunes.  How can I delete the old email ID out of my phone?

    Hello jckinkopf,
This can be done by removing the apps that request the old Apple ID from the device, then redownloading the apps that have been removed, after verifying that the correct Apple ID is signed in on your device.
