Can you uninstall the existing version of Adobe Reader from Add/Remove Programs?
If not, try to remove all remains of the previous installation with the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 ), then try to install the newest version again.

  • Is there any way I can download an older version of firefox?

Hi, I am working with a wysiwyg is having trouble with the newest version of Firefox. Is there anyway I can download old versions? Specifically Firefox 7? Thanks!

    Hey maiabee,
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You should consider [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback leaving feedback] for the developers so that they can continue to improve the product.
If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • I am using PS CC can I delete older versions of PS without creating any issues?

Would love to clear up some disk space. I am using PS CC and have PS CS5 & CS6 installed. Can I delete both of them without creating any issues?
    Thanks,
    Abel

Theoretically, yes. Though I recommend you do an "Uninstall" rather than a delete.  I say "theoretically" because I once had a very nasty problem trying to uninstall a CS3 BETA release that resulted in an inability to properly install any subsequent releases. This was on Windows Vista.

  • Why is 8.01 update downloading an older version of firefox onto my computer? (Other problems also)

For trusted sights, I let downloads automatically be made when available. I left the computer on overnight and found "Win 7 Anti Spyware" on my computer this morning. I ran "roadkill" and "malwarebytes", then deleted the infected objects (6 of them). I then got a message that my firefox was outdated and when I went in to dowload newest version, it downloaded Firefox 4 instead. I wanted to search for other people with the same problem. When I did google searches on firefox and clicked on a link, they were immediately redirected to a new sight. IE google searches worked perfectly fine, '''unless '''they were directed to a firefox page, which I thought was odd.
Ran rkill and malwarebytes again just to be sure, but they didn't find anything additional.
So now, I've removed firefox completely, run rkill again and am in the middle of running malwarebytes all over again. 44 minutes in and it hasn't found anything yet and neither did rkill. It should be done soon, but I'm afraid the problem won't be taken care of and I'm reluctant to download firefox, or even go to the site, on that computer once everything is finished.
Any help or suggestions for tracking down my bug would be appreciated.

You may be infected with malware.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • Can I use two versions of firefox on one computer?

3.6.10 and 4beta in parallel? Would both versions use the same bookmark file or how can they stay in-sync? I love 4beta but still would need to use 3.6.10 for some add-ons. Thanks a lot!!

You can use both versions but should use a different profile for each one (location where Firefox stores user data such as bookmarks).
The beta version should by default be installed in a different location than the release version, but to ensure this is the case you can choose the Custom option when installing Firefox and specify where you want it installed.
Next you need to create a new profile folder for the beta version, for details of how to do that see the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows Creating a new Firefox profile on Windows]. Once you have created a new profile, you can create shortcuts that open the correct profile, for details see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Shortcut_to_a_specific_profile Shortcut to a specific profile].
Finally you can arrange for Firefox to synchronize the bookmarks and passwords used by the 2 versions. You can do this by using Firefox Sync. The Firefox 4 beta will have it built in, but for Firefox 3.6.10 you can install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10868/ Firefox Sync] add-on. For details on using Firefox Sync see [[what is Firefox Sync]].

  • Can I load the older version of Firefox? The new version does not work with my company's software. Need prior to 3.6.24

We have some old Ariba software and later versions of the browsers make it impossible to complete the process.
Just wondering if I can download the older version of Firefox, one prior to 3.6.24.

    Use the Mozilla FTP: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

  • After updating, can I install older version on my second computer?

Updated to Elements 12.  Can I install older version 9 to a second computer so that two projects can be worked on at the same time?

    Yes.
All Adobe software can be installed and activated on a maximum of two computers. That means you can also install PSE12 on the second computer, provided the second computer meets the technical requirements to run PSE12
    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements/tech-specs.html
PS no need to install PSE9 on a new computer first. Just install PSE12, enter the PSE12 upgrade serial number then enter the PSE9 serial number when prompted.

  • How can I download an older version of Firefox that got deleted but was compatible with the PC Mac Version 10.4.11

I have the 1.5 Ghz PowerPC G4 Mac OS X version 10.4.11 and I inadvertently deleted the old Firefox browser when I download Firefox 4. The original download did not recognize the limitations of the system's inability to support Firefox 4.
How could I download and install an older version of Firefox that is compatible with my Mac

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
    * http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/4.0/system-requirements/
For an unofficial Firefox 4 compatible version that runs on a PowerPC Mac with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8 you can look at:

  • How can I get back to an older version of Firefox? I have an add-on that is not compatible with version 5.0 but I need it !

I have installed Firefox 5.0 but this version does not work with some of my add-ons.
There are no new versions of the add-ons yet.
I want to uninstall Firefox 5.0 and install an older version of Firefox.
    How do I do that?

The latest versions of Firefox require at least Mac OS X 10.5 and an Intel processor. You can revert to Firefox 3.6.xx for Mac 10.4 by downloading the installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

  • My Yahoo toolbar is gone requiring me to press the back button thru all of the pages I've viewed to get back to my homepage. AND more importantly I can no longer use Kodak Gallery. How do I return to an older version of Firefox?

The recent version of Firefox apparently does not support/permit me to see/use the Yahoo toolbar. Therefore, I have to manually page back thru all of the yahoo pages I've visited to get back to the main page.
Also the recent version of Firefox apparently is not compatible with Kodak Gallery's functions; therefore use of my many photo albums stored online is no longer available.
Apparently I need to go back to an older version of Firefox or use another browser.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
