Can I delete previous Adobe Reader downloads when a new has been updated.

Can I delete prvious downloads of Adobe Reader as my computer is so slow.

As I understand things, if you uninstall previous versions of Reader in Windows, you can ruin the remaining one(s). I would suggest removing all versions of Reader and then doing a fresh install of the version you want to keep. But I have my doubts that having several versions of Reader can slow your computer very much.

I try to open I photo and  I get the message, your iPhoto library is damaged...please restore from backup. But i din't made backup copy. How can i delete previous library and work wrom the new one?

Try this (assuming you're using iPhoto 12): make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
      Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
    Select options #1, #2 and #6.
    Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • How can I check how many times or when an app has been re-downloaded on my iphone

How can I check how many times or when an app has been re-downloaded on my iphone. I know how to check purchases but I am looking for how to check when an app had been re-downloaded on my device whether it's through my device or Apple ID

You mention "lack of control" several times.  The control is there - you control the Apple ID and password that owns the app.  No other Apple ID can use the app.  You have not shared your Apple ID or password with anyone, so you and only you own the app.
Therefore, the number of times the app is downloaded or re-downloaded is completely irrelevant.  You might, for example, decide to purchase a new iPhone or iPad and download the app there.  Or the app developer may issue a new version which you download.  None of this matters regarding your "control" of the app.  All that matters is that you own it and nobody else can use it.

  • What do i do with my downloads in my downloads folder after software has been updated? do i move it to trash? or??

what do i do with my downloads in my downloads folder after software has been updated? do i move it to trash? or??

So it would be safe to just delete them? the reason why i ask is because for example  when i first stared using youtube on my macbook pro(OSX Lion) it required the flash update. I updated flash but the download still remained in the download file on the dock. So it would be safe to delete once it was updated correct?

  • Project Managers to know when a task has been updated for the last time

    Hi,
I would like know if there is any timestamp feature in Project Server 2007, so that it can be possible for Project Managers to know when a task has been updated for the last time.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
If you are using the My Tasks to drive the task updates then you can use the 'Applied Requests and Errors' available under 'Go To' in the Task Updates area. Here the PM can find when requests have been approved and how many updates he/she received for a
particular task (by clicking the task name) etc.
    Hope this helps

  • How can I get the Adobe Reader download to accept that I have deleted Adobe 7.0?

Whenever I try to install an upgrade I get a message saying Adobe 7.0 is using the files please delete and try again.   But I have deleted the files and I can't read PDF forms now.  Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you mean Adobe Reader, you may want to try the following.
Remove all traces of Reader (not only the program) from your system using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can still download it from from places like
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
Then, download the Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    and perform a clean install.

  • Why does it keep telling me that my security settings will not let the Adobe Reader download when I have them turned off?

I try to update the Adobe Reader and it will not let me.  I have turned the Norton Security off and it still tells me that my security settings will not allow it to download.  What can I do?

There's a little box that comes up on my computer after I try to update the Adobe Reader.  It says:  "Your current security settings will not allow this to download".  So I went into my Norton Security and disabled the antivirus program.  I don't even know if that was the "settings" that the message on my computer was meaning.  But what has happened is when I try to use the Adobe Reader XI that is on my computer, a little box comes up on my screen that says "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded" and I'm unable to get Adobe to work.

  • Adobe Reader Crashes when adding Signature or initials-Update

Tried both Reader X and XI.  Using Windows 8.  Was working previously, just started for no reason.  No problem on other computer with Windows 7.
Update:  Problem solved - did the Windows update from 8 to 8.1 and Adobe Reader works perfect.  Not sure if this may help someone else.

I have adobe reader 11.0.09 installed on Windows 2008 R2 configured as Terminal server with Citrix XenApp 6.5 installed. The Server is hosting on average 14 - 15 simultaneous sessions. Adobe reader is installed on the server. The server is provisioned via Citrix Provisioning server 6.x
    The problem:
The User with regular credentials opens two PDF files with writable fields at the same time. The user accesses the environment via remote access with Citrix receiver installed on his / her local desktop. The user fills up the text field on the first form and copies the text from the fields of first form to the appropriate fields of the second form. After few minutes adobe reader crashes.
After I was investigating the issue, I found that at certain point the application crashes and throws a record into the ProcMon list
    More details from ProcMon
After the crash of the application, the highlighted section in the snapshot above disappears and the application at this time is dead.
This issue happens only when the PDF forms are opened with Adobe reader on Windows 2008R2. I have tested Adobe Reader 11.0.7 and 11.0.8 all of them are crashing the same way.
    Help is more than welcome.
    Thank You

  • HT4847 How can I delete an iCloud backup of a device that has been wiped and sold?

I have wiped my old iPhone and it has already been repurposed. How can I delete its backup from iCloud now?

You'll probably have to get help from Apple on that.  If you have an iPhone 5 and are within your 90-day free phone support window, get ahold of iCloud support and see if they can fix this at their end: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.

  • Can't delete previous Adobe Flash Player

Running on Windows XP and IE7.
I tried to update to Flash Player 9; I used the latest
version of uninstall, which deleted a couple of executable files
and claimed to delete flash8a.ocx on reboot; after rebooting it was
still there. I tried manual deletion of the file, which said I
didn't have the authority. I'm the administrator on the computer! I
tried installing the Flash Player 9 and it just sits there, never
installing. I've tried checking for other flash files and found a
few and deleted them, but the flash8a.ocx won't delete, and
renaming it doesn't allow installation of the Flash Player 9
either. Neither does running the SubInACL program (which does run,
showing that I have administrative priveleges). Anybody know how to
    get rid of this file?

If ‘Flash8a.ocx’ is on your system it may prevent
you from installing a later version. Please follow these
    instructions to resolve this issue.
Please download the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup
    Utility from this technote:
    http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;290301
This will install a program called “MsiZap.exe”
here C:\Program Files\Windows Installer Clean Up. After
installation, copy the files including MsiZap.exe to my C:\ drive
and use the following scripts in the command line.
Select Start > Run and type in "cmd"
Type in the following to target the "flash8a.ocx" GUID with
    the MsiZap
    C:\MsiZap.exe T {5E8A1B08-0FBD-4543-9646-F2C2D0D05750}
I understand that this may be complicated, so if you want

  • How can I delete an ODBC data source after 10g client has been uninstalled?

I uninstalled the 10g client and now when I attempt to delete the ODBC data source, I get an error: "The setup routines for the Oracle in Oraclient10g_home2 ODBC driver could not be found. Please reinstall the driver. I re-installed the client and I get the same error, but I had to specify a new home. I still get the error. Anyone have an answer or a workaround to deleting the ODBC entry so that I can re-create with the same name later under the 9i client?

I have the same problem... and nobody gots the point:
1st. the ODBC and the client/home exists on the machine...
2nd. the client/home is unistalled and so...
3rd. tada! Now we have a impossible-to-unistall ODBC entry!
That is happening on a Windows, at last to me...
Please, help us if someone knows how to remove this ODBC entry... if know how to DO the stuff (permissions, system, all that things is answered above).

You don't need Adobe AIR to download or install Adobe Reader.
Try downloading the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

When downloading a pdf file I get a message that I must download Adobe Reader. When I do that I am told that it is already installed. Why can't I use it if it's already installed. I-Mac OsX 9.3

    g -
I was able to fix the problem with some help from Apple. Whenever I last downloaded Reader, I apparently didn’t complete the process by accepting the Reader contract. I was able to go right to that point in the process and complete the installation. The messages that I needed Reader but it was already installed were quite confusing. It would have been nice if the Adobe installation process that I was re-trying this morning had been able to detect a partial installation. The Troubleshooting page almost had me doing some ridiculous things that wouldn’t have helped.

    Help!

    (for the record)
This is a known issue with the Adobe Reader plugin on Mac OS:
*[https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=811085 Bug 811085] - Can't use Adobe Reader for PDF files
Read the above bug for details (please don't comment in the bug report).
    To work around this,
#disable the Adobe Reader plugin in the Firefox Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins list
#choose another action for '''Portable Document Format (PDF)''' content types in the Firefox Preferences -> Applications list, such as "Preview in Firefox" to use the built-in PDF viewer, "Preview" application or the Adobe Reader application itself

I used I.E. and the download worked. So that's it.
