Can I delete songs from my iPad or can I only delete them through iTunes?

Does the iPad 1 allow me to delete songs, or can I only do this through iTunes?

For the iPod app, you delete through iTunes as part of the usual sync procedure.
Other third-party apps that can store and play music may allow you to delete directly on the iPad.

how do i delete pictures off my iphone through itunes??

The same way you got them there.  The sync process.
    Deselect the folder and sync.
    or
Delete the foklder form your computer and sync.
    or
Delete the phtos from your computer and sync.
    or
Remove the photo from the selected folder on your computer and sync.
The iphone simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.

  • What time will IOS 5 be available in Belgium? Also, can I only get it through ITunes or is there another way? Thanks

What time will IOS 5 be available in Belgium? Also can I get it only through ITunes or is there another way? Thanks

The rules are straight forward ...
Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • How can I delete a single song from my iPad?

How can I delete a single song from my iPad?

    Hi lizdance40,
The first part of your answer worked great, thanks for that!  However, since doing that, there are still songs on the iPad that I want to delete. I place my finger on the song, swipe to the left....and nothing. No red "delete" appears at the right. That used to work on my full size iPad, but not on this mini. I just purchased it last Friday...maybe it's defective?
    Thanks again,
    Sirsheila

  • I bought Itunes match, when can I delete the songs from my Ipad? It's memory is full and I bought Itunes match in order to free some memory space

I bought Itunes match, when can I delete the songs from my Ipad? It's memory is full and I bought Itunes match in order to free some memory space. I already activate the itunes match in the Ipad, but it still keeps the songs. Can I erase them?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Go to settings > general > usage > storage and select music. You will see how much space is being used. Swipe to delete.
This will clear cache. Streaming uses up storage space. If you have specifically downloaded tracks you can delete them individually. Will still appear on your ipad but with the download icon.

  • How do I delete songs from my iPad?

How can I delete songs from my iPad? Thanks all!

Depends on how they were put on your iPad in the first place.
    1.  If purchased on iPad, in Music app > Songs swipe the song you want to delete to the right and a delete box appears
    2.  If synced from iTunes on your computer, you need to connect your iPad to your computer via USB and delete them there.

  • Deleting Unwanted U2 Songs from my iPads

    Hi All;
How can i delete these stupid U2 songs that i never asked for from my iPads? Why did Apple do this stupid thing? They cannot push music on my playlist to mess-up my music selections without my consent.
Please, help me remove these songs from my iPad.
    Thanks

Not sure why you weren't able to use the instructions that Courcoul provided. iTunes Match has nothing to do with this.
Did you go to Purchased under the Quick Links section in the iTunes Store? Did you click on the Music tab and locate the offending album? Did you mouse over it until the "x" appeared? Are you sure you were signed onto the iTunes Store with the Apple ID that the album was sent to?
There is nothing in those instructions that mention iTunes Match, because iTunes Match has no connection to hiding and unhinding your iTunes purchases....

  • How do I delete unauthorized songs from my iPad?

A friend of mine sent me songs a while back from his iTunes account. Now, whenever I play songs on my iPad, it asks for the password of his iTunes account to be able to play the songs he sent. I simply want to delete these songs and stop dealing with this headache.
I've tried several things that have not worked:
I restored the iPad from back up.
I checked "manually sync music and videos" in iTunes, had it sync no songs, and the songs still remain on my iPad but do not show up under "Music" on the device list under my iPad in iTunes.
I tried swiping the songs, but it won't let me swipe to delete on the iPad.
I deleted the songs from my iTunes library and resynced the iPad, but they still show up on my iPad.
Please help! I'm running out of ideas. I do not want to set up my iPad as a new device, as I have several apps with saved documents.
Currently, my iPad has only the songs that will not delete on them. They are not grayed out, but when I press them to play, I'm prompted for my friend's Apple ID password.

    I figured it out!
Basically, because I was restoring from an iCloud backup, iTunes wanted to download the songs from my friend's account, as well as my own collection.
So to prevent this, I deleted all the songs off my iPad, the grey songs were still there on hold to be downloaded, and backed up to my computer.
When I restored from back up, all my apps and settings were back in place, and I had no songs in my Music app, not even the greyed out ones.
Then, I resynced my iTunes music (after deleting the songs from my friend) and it no longer is trying to download those songs.
I've since gone back to syncing with iCloud and have not had any problems.

  • When I try to delete a song from my ipad, why does it still show up as being on it in iTunes?

Just like the question says, Ive deleted the songs from the ipad and when i look in the ipad, they show up grey.

You don't need to delete them form iTunes on your computer. Notice the dotted circles next to the songs. That indicates that the songs are essentially in limbo. They may not be on your iPad or they might appear in the Music app but will not play.
Sometimes unsyncing those songs will totally remove those ghost traces of the music nd sometimes, you have to restore the iPad to get rid of those traces of the songs.
If you Google "grey dotted circles next to songs in iTunes" you will find a plethora of articles that talk about this.

Connect to iTunes. If it's part of a playlist just delete the particular song. Otherwise you may need to switch from sync to manual in the settings (navigate to your iPad under devices, music tab, towards the bottom select manually add music..)

How can I load purchased songs from my iPad to my daughters iPod?

You can either sync them to her iPod using iTunes, or sign into your Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store on her iPod and download them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.  If she is already signed into a different ID, tap it, sign out, then sign into your ID.  (Note: If she has already enabled automatic downloads or downloaded previous purchases on her iPod using a different ID, she will have to wait 90 days before she can switch IDs to yours.)

  • HT4437 can i play songs from my ipad to my airport express and Ihome speaker at the same time?

can i play songs from the ipad to both the airport express and ihome speaker at the same time?

    Let's double-check your AX's settings...
To set up AirTunes on the AirPort Express Base Station (AX), using the AirPort Admin Utility, connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, try these settings:
    AirPort tab
    - Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
    - Wireless Mode: Join an Existing Wireless Network (Wireless Client)
    - Wireless Network: <select your Belkin wireless network>
    Music tab
    - Enable AirTunes on this base station (checked)
    - Enable AirTunes over the Ethernet port (optional)
    - iTunes Speaker Name: <whatever you wish>
    - iTunes Speaker Password (optional)
    In iTunes:
    iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced > General
    - Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes (checked)
