Can I delete the Table of Contents?
I am making a book that will not require a Table of Contents. Can I delete it? None of the options (Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Duplicate) will work (They come up grey and will not let me click them).
No. But you can minimize it. Show Inspector, Click on Documents (leftmost icon), select TOC, highlight each item in the list and click – (minus) for each. - Fabe

Hi. How can I delete the table without deleting the content? My pages version is 5.2.2. Thank you for your help.
There is no convert Table to text capability in Pages v5.2.2, as there was in Pages ’09 v4.3.
You can keep the table while making the table grid vanish, leaving the existing tabular text structure. Select the table, and under the Format panel > Table tab, the following settings will produce this output. If selected, you can refine its document placement in the Arrange tab. -
Is it possible to delete the table of contents in a pdf but keep the bookmarks?
Is it possible to delete the table of contents in a pdf but keep the bookmarks?
If the TOC is located on certain pages, you can simply delete those (from the Pages panel).
Make sure it doesn't screw up with how your bookmarks work, though... -
How can I edit the table of contents?
I'm unable to do anything to the table of content. I don't want numbers, 1.2 for Chapter 1, Section 2
Is there a way to cjange this or do I just eliminate chapters and sections. If you choose none and your book isn't complying, you have other issues, such as maybe a corrupted book, or maybe a template that is locked for that attribute.
Try making another, fresh book and then see if it obeys page numbering as you need there. -
Find the Table of Content in Pdf
Hi,
How can i find the Table of Content in a particular PDF?.
Is this possible in itext?
Thanks,
nithi. When converting a FrameMaker book to PDF, the PDF may include bookmarks for additional paragraph tags (on top of those specified in the book's PDF setup)
The workaround is to specify PDF Setup in the individual file. For example, open your TOC, select Format > Document > PDF Setup, and make sure that the Heading1TOC, Heading2TOC... paragraph tags are not included in the bookmark setup.

How can we delete the data in e-fact table.
how can we delete the data in e-fact table.
hii,
You cannot delete the request individually but you can one of the following:
1. Do a selective deletion from the cube. RSA1 -> Cube -> Contents -> selective deletion.
2. Delete all the data in the cube and then reconstruct only the required request ids. This would work only if you have the PSA available for all the requests.
3. Reverse posting is another possibility.
hope it helps,

Can we delete the change log table of ods?
hi bw gurus,
can we delete the newdata, active and change log table of ods?how?what is the advantage?
OR
can we delete the contents of new, active, change log table of ods?how?what is the advantag?
thanks in advance
srinivasHi Srinivas
Yes, You can delete the contents of changle log table but not the contents of new data and active data table.
Before deleting the change log data you have to make sure that the requests are not required for further delta extraction or for reconstruction purpose.
Steps
1. Goto Manage screen of your ods
2. Click on Environment tab and select the option " Delete change log data".
Adv:
To free up the disk space.
Assign points if it is useful for u.

Can we delete the archived RS tables data in unix path?
Hi Experts
As you all know that when we perform RS table archiving we setup a Logical file path 'ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH' pointing to the physical path '/usr/sap/<SYSID>/SYS/global/<FILENAME>' in unix system.
Here we have our RS table data in the unix path and this logical path will make sure that there are no problems with requests status.
Now our unix path has grown in size hence we would like to delete some archived data from this path. Could you pls confirm if we delete the data from this unix path will there be any problems with the requests status?
Simply can we delete the RS table archived data from the unix file path??
Thanks!!Hi All
Any idea about this would be appreciated.
Thanks!! -
Re:How can we delete the concurrent node entry from the FND_NODE table
HI ,
11.5.10.2 on Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit) .
How can we delete the concurrent node entry from the FND_NODES table without running Autoconfig.
Currently we are having 3 nodes RAC and we are deciding to remove one node from the RAC and all 3 nodes are registered as concurrent node with application but concurrent manager is running only on one node.
Lot of the custom configuration we did it at application web tire level. If we run the Autoconfig at that time we need to redo those changes again that we are trying to avoid.
Regards .we are trying to avoid to run FND_CLONE.setup_clean because it will delete all the nodes entries from the FND_NODES.If those entries are invalid then they should be deleted.
Running AutoConfig after purging the table will populate it with the correct entries.
In order to populate the nodes entries again we need to run autoconfig and it will change the server id in fnd_nodes and then we need to redo the ADI client configuration on users PC and redo all the changes that we made in jserv and webserver. For ADI Clients, you should use the correct server ids which will be populated in the table for you once you run AutoConfig.
For jserv configuration, you can refer to (Customizing an AutoConfig Environment [ID 270519.1]) to make the preserve all your custom setup/configuration after running AutoConfig.
If there any custom script to delete only one node from the fnd_node so that we don't need to run autoconfig after that, then I really appreciate.No.
Thanks,

How can I include, in the table of content, a title that I have put on a shape?
Hello all,
1. I have a table of content
2. I have added shapes
3. I wrote text (titles. subtitles) on the shapes
4. They do not appear in the table of content.
5. They only appear in the table of content if they are not on a shape.
Pages 5.5.2
Can you help?
LawHi Law,
Text in a shape or a text box will not feature in the table of contents.
To get a colour behind your titles, type them into your document (not a shape). Format as Heading or some other paragraph style the TOC will recognise.
Select the title text and Format Panel > Text > Font > Gearwheel > Advanced Options.
Choose Character Fill Color and choose a colour from the palette (left) or colour circle (right).
Example Titles (all on the same page for a smaller screen shot).
Chapter 3 (in a coloured Text Box or Shape) does not appear in the TOC:
Hint for cheats :
To give the titles a wider Character Fill Colour, add some Tab characters before and after.
Regards,
Ian. -
I am trying to link to page in my document from the table of contents. How can this be done?
The Table of Contents picks up selected named Styles in the text like Head 1, 2 etc.
Have you actually applied the styles?

Can I delete the PDF file's content in Adobe Reader plug-in?
I create a plug-in for Adobe Reader, when I open the PDF file, can I delete the PDF file's content in the plug-in?
The people here are visitors who might have knowledge and might choose to share it, if they have the time, and feel like answering a question. Your questions, instead, suggest that you think it is someone's job here to answer your questions. If you want it to be someone's job, you should raise a support case. This too will require patience.
You will not welcome this advice, I am sure, but it is well not to try to use your own deadline to try to make other people feel the problem is more urgent to them. -
When my daughter got her first iphone we set it up with my email address, she now has her own email & new iphone. I want to use my email address for my icloud, can I delete the content from the icloud account and continue to use my email?
Yes, but be sure she is on a separate iCloud account with a separate ID before deleting anything. Be sure there is nothing that you want to keep on your device too. When you delete the data from iCloud it will be deleted from all devices signed into the account. Then you can delete the data from the existing account by doing the following:
To delete the contacts, go to iCloud.com from your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts on the left, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the Actions (gear shaped) icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
For Calendars, open the calendar on icloud.com, click Edit on the bottom left, then tap the minus sign to the right of each calendar to delete it.
For Notes, open notes on icloud.com, click on each note on the left, then click Delete at the top to delete it.
For Reminders, open reminders on icloud.com, click on each reminder and press your Delete key to delete it.
For Mail, open your mail on icloud.com, click each folder on the left (such as your inbox), click on a single message to the right, press Control-A on your keyboard to select them all, then press your Delete key. Repeat this for each of your mail folders except Trash. When finished, click on the actions (gear-shaped) icon on the bottom left and select Empty Trash.
If you also want to delete your iCloud backups you can go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on your device, tap the name of your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup. -
How can we delete the invoice from hub table

Invoice No 9000112482
Amount 31,009.17
Currency EURO
here the document having billing documents . how can i delete the invoice document . here billing documents we can cancell it using the t code vf11 .but how can we delete the invoice .can u please help on this .
Thanks in advace .
RajHere is the SAP help on this topic. I guess that answers your question.
When you cancel a billing document, you are actually creating a cancellation document. The cancellation document copies data from the billing document and transfers an offsetting entry to the accounting department.
Features
The cancellation document causes the reference document for the billing document (e.g. the delivery) to be reopened so that a correct billing document can be created.
You can also cancel individual items. In the billing document, goto: Edit - Cancel item This function is not possible for:
rebate agreements
transactions involving credit cards
documents that have not yet been forwarded to Financial Accounting -
Adjusting page numbering in the Table of Contents
I have a question regarding adjusting page numbering in the table of contents. I have manually adjusted my page numbering to start at page 3, which is now called page 1. But my table of contents still show this page as page 3, while I want it to be shown as page 1.
How do I do this?
I tried to find an answer somewhere on this forum, but I couldn't find one. Neither could I find a solution in the help file.
I hope you understand my question. I also included the document, which might be of help. Thank you! This answer assumes that your document uses the Default page style for physical pages 1-3. You are going to need two different page styles to accomplish what you want. (I'm guessing you have used a page number offset of -2 to get your physical page 3 numbered as 1 and this simply will not work in the TOC.)
Put your cursor in the Title page (physical page 1) and open the Stylist (F11). Click the Page icon (4th from left) then click the New Style From Selection icon (2nd from right). Give it a name like 'Body'. Before you close the Stylist double click on Default just to make sure you did not change the style of the 1st page.
While you are still on the 1st page click into the footer and remove the page number field assuming you do not want it.
Put you cursor in the FIRST (1st) paragraph of the 3rd page and do **Format > Paragraph > Text Flow tab. In the Breaks section, check the Enable box, if not already checked, then check the With Page Style box, select the Body style from the drop down menu and set the page number to 1.
If the page number field is still in the footer on this page then delete it and insert it again. It should now show 1.
Click into the TOC, right click and select Update Index/Table.
Just in case you have trouble translating this to your version of SO I have fixed your document and have attached it.
* *To change to a new page style while writing your document do Insert > Manual Break > Page Break and select the new style. If you want a new page number you can check that box and set the new number.
