Can I delete users folders not done by the system?

Questions are: 1) can I erase user's folders in the library? 2) can I re-create a 501 account? 3) is it normal that TM takes hours to do the first back up of a new account. (I really don't remember that much)
EXPLANATION:
(1) Well, I deleted the corrupted user in the usual procedure, via grp & users pref tab in preference system, but apparently it did not work, since everything is there. I wasn't asked to keep a mirror or whatever. The name of the folder isn't seen anywhere, but everyth is in my HD. I had to erase it because I had prblms I couldn't solve, neither apple assist on the phone. Also, because when I tried to migrate I got the msg that both accounts had problems: this one (502) and the adm-rights user (501). I now have a neat user account (503-standard) but I want to know if (2) I can create another 501acc, in case it still has prblms.
Support info: Yes, I've just checked the HD (using iDisk) and everth is ok, except for some permitions. [ The HD is brand new, installed by apple who installed OSX.9.3. SO which already came with Safari permission prblms. I've been told on the phone not to worry abt it.] So, I think everth is OK, except that I could NOT get rid of the corrupted acc folders from that user in the usual way. I'm afraid I can't do it manually in the library - can I? and even 501 acc (if I can create another one)?. I can't get how I got this problems, I just know I found the Firewall off, when I got back home from apple store. So, after creating this new account I changed the keychains and stopped safari from registering passwords, to stay on the safe side. Now I ned to clean up my TM too, can I? I'm afraid cause I haven't yet created a bootable DVD.

      Thanks for the answer, specially due to lots of spelling mistakes which made the msg kind of difficult to be understood. I've just learnt how to cancell correction at Safari browser, which was causing all that.
      I was a bit anxious and looked for a way to delete it via Terminal. I succeeded it. I tested by sending other thgs to the trash and asking again for sec empty and it worked well & fast. Then, I tried to do the same with TM BUT user, but it didn't work. I had to remove the full days of back up and had the same prblm w/ Trash. Terminal solved the problem, 'cause the combined keys didn't.
    For safe, I left the first 2 back ups in TM (with original instalation) without that folder cups I was concerned abt (an invisible folder .cup with authorization just to a "person" I don't have in my list (not wheel !), and prohibited access to everyone else. I had tried to change permissions before erasing and couldn't, although I could unlock the padlock); + the 2 last days (most recent B-up, with all MY updates, apps, and so on ) - Did I do wrong?
       Well, I after all that, I asked iDisk to check both disks my HDMac and TM externalHDdisk and got the green answer for both. But I still have that corrupted user account in the 2 first days of TM back-up - can it cause me problms if I need to reboot in the future?   I tried to delete just the user folder, but a sys-window popped up sayng " items in TM can't be deleted". I pitifully had to delete the ful days. Is there any special combination keys to allow me exterminate just o-one folder in TM? Also (2) is the invisible locked unix exe folder called tmbootpicker.efi a default folder? and wht abt mach_kernel unix exe in there too, in every back-up?
       If I did not do anything wrong I'll ask iDisk to erase free space in those disks, just to be in the safe side. I'll wait for yr answer. You know better.

It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved.

Can't delete user account with open shopping cart

Is it okay to delete user account with open shopping cart? I can't delete user by users_gen, it says existing partner document. I then applied notes 1148837,report PARTNER_SET_DELETE. And this report doesn't really work. I ran it and it found zero occurrnences. Is anybody using this report?
So is it the only way to delete user from SRM is by su01 and leave some informations on Busines partner (bp)

Hi. You can easily lock the user and change the validity dates using SU01.
Then, I would write a program that looks through all locked users and checks their valdity dates. Table USR02 holds all this data.
Then, if the user is locked and the validity end date was 3 or 6 or whatever months ago (make this a selection parameter probably), then you know you want to delete this user.
So, go into table HRP1001 where SCLAS = US and SOBID = user name and OTYPE = CP and get field OBJID. This is the central person (CP) number.
Then, go into table HRP1001 again, this time where SCLAS = BP and OTYPE = CP and OBJID = the CP number and get field SOBID. This is the business partner (BP) number.
Now, run function BAPI_USER_DELETE to delete the SU01 user fully, then function HR_CENTRALPERSON_DELETE to delete the central person, then function BUP_BUPA_DELETE to delete the business partner.
And that should delete everything.

No, unfortunately, when you format a drive, it will erase all the contents. So you will need to find a temporary "storage" place to put the stuff using a PC so you have access to it. Then reformat using Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities). If only using with mac, format Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and use GUID Partition scheme under Partitions/Options. After formatting, you can drag the files back.

Are you talking about Time Machine backups on a Time Capsule?
It is fine to delete the backup as long as you are sure there is nothing you want.. and do a new clean backup. That will be the least possible space usage for a working backup.. Never delete files out of an existing backup.. it is very hard to manually delete files in the backup.
We do not recommend it.

How can I delete pictures from my moments off the new IOS8 when it doesnt give me the option to delete the photo itself? The icon of the trash doesnt appear what so ever. This is the only thing im dissapointed in the IOS8 update. Theres not even a camera roll where you can delete the photo like the IOS7

Try this:
1. Start from the homescreen of your Iphone/pod (for dummies: where all of your "apps" are).
2. Look for an app on your homescreen titled "Photos", when you find it - Click it.
3. When the app opens, go ahead and look towards the bottom of your phonescreen.
     You should see a navigation with three different options;
       "Photos", "Shared" & "Albums"; Why don't you just go ahead and click on "Albums", there we go - Very nice!
4. On the next screen that appears, it should display your different albums.
     Look for "Recently Deleted", and when you find it - Click on it.
       It should be on that list somewhere (or there's a problem!).
5. Now you should see a screen displaying all of the recent photos you've deleted.
     The term we know as "recent" to iOS is thirty days (that's 720 hours in people-time!).
       You will have to click to each individual photo, however at the bottom left-hand cornor of every photo take notice of the 'Delete' option.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I am getting the follwoing message - GI not done for the Delivery.
Process which we are following here is
Depot
SO - Delivery - Picking - Packing - J1IJ - Shipment creation - Shipment Planning - Loading Start - Shipment Start (Will do PGI) - Shipment end (Will create invoice & Excise Invoice).
Excise invoice is captured during MIGO at Depot.
Can you please suggest..

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

Try this (assuming you're using iPhoto 12): make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select options #1, #2 and #6.
Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:

Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I created a PDF from a Word document that used Cambria font, and when I select it in Acrobat to try to change the font I get "The change to a different font was not done because the chosen font and the font encodings in the document differ and could not be resolved"
How can I change the font and why is it preventing me from doing so?

No, Acrobat is not a word processor.
More to the point Acrobat lets one "work" PDF and PDF is not a file format designed as a word processing, editing, formating, or page layout file format.
PDF is, essentially, a "final destination" format.
What it is is described in the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1).

Shared Services Console - User is not authorized for the action

Hi,
I have installed Essbase 11.11.3 and configured on Linux. I started EPM and then the Shared Services Console. I created a new group Poweruser and assigned a new user to it. I provisioned the group withall the rights of the admin. This all works.
When I log on with the new user on the Shared Service Console and go to Essbase Studio Server and click on the Essbase Studio Server application it gives me the message:
User is not authorized for the action
This is the same message as I get under the user admin. Can anyone tell me what I can possibly do to make it work.
The service for EAS is started properly. The one thing that is not configured is HBR.
