Can I disable display of titles & blue bar during movie playlist playback?

During movie playback from a playlist, my AppleTV briefly displays the name of each movie it encounters in the bottom left corner of the screen. At the same time, the blue scroll bar briefly appears.
Most of the time I like this behavior, but is there some way to disable it for when I don't want to see it?
For example, I'd like to be able to set up my AppleTV for a movie party and simulate on old-time drive-in movie program. I want set up a playlist to show clips of coming attractions, homemade commercials, the feature presentation, etc., and not have the titles and blue scroll bar flashing on the bottom of the screen each time the AppleTV encounters the next clip during playback. The flashing titles & the blue scroll bar are very distracting in this case.
If there is no option to disable this behavior, then I hope it gets added to the feature wish-list for a future update.

I realize my suggestion is off your point, and you probably have already thought of some of this, hence your question... But, rather than going the dynamic route, Why not create a Header Image without a title on it and use it as a div background image? Replace this

with the styled div, for instance:

At this point, you can use a more generic image for the background, one that does not have "Afghanistan" embedded in it, and you may style the #header thus:
#header {
     width: 779px;
     height: 114px;
     border: 0;
     background-image: url(/See-Our-Work/Images/header/header.jpg;)/* for instance */
and the header Headline styles thus:
#header h2, #header h3 {
     color: white;
     text-align: right;
     font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
Then you can place your html (<h2>, <h3> etc.) in the same div, only on the "surface".
Using the tags <h2> and <h3> will maintain their usefulness to Search Engines; as hiding them in images does not.
If you still wished to vary the header image, depending on the contents of the page, you can actually control all of this from the CSS file, if you add an id attribute to the <body> of each page.
For instance, for your example page, if you did this:
<body id="afghanistan">
You could then do this in your CSS file:
#header {
     width: 779px;
     height: 114px;
     border: 0;
body#afghanistan #header {
     background-image: url(/See-Our-Work/afghanistan/Images/header/afghanistan-header.jpg);
You could then proceed to have a different background image for each page. (Not your original intention, but now possible).
<body id="pakistan"> would use a CSS style declaration like:
body#pakistan #header {
     background-image: url(...pakistan-header.jpg...etc.);
I am not aware of being able to pass content (other than background images) using CSS, so I would go into each page and put the Headline in html.
But if you were using multiple background images in the header div (one image for afghanistan, another for pakistan, in my example), you can use the same <body id="afghanistan"> for ALL pages about Afghanistan, and thus have the continuity of the same image for all. Likewise, you could id all pages about Pakistan <body id="pakistan">.
I hope this gives you some ideas...

I HATE iOS 7! Can I disable that darn pop up bar at the screen bottom?

Is there any way to get rid of that pop up bar that allows multitasking? Every time I touch the lower half of the screen, it pops up and slows down everything I do.

Why Does Mavericks 'Display' Show Two Black Bars During Video Playback?

Hey guys. So I'm at college and I've been watching a bunch of movies on my Macbook.
I own a 24-inch monitor where I play the movies through, as I connect it to my Macbook Pro 2012.
When I was on Mountain Lion and I'd play a movie, the video playback would take up the entire 24-inch display screen perfectly.
But now that I've updated to Mavericks, every movie including YouTube videos are stretched and small with two HUGE black bars on the top and on the bottom. I've tried changing the 'Display' options but it still remains the same and it's bugging me out so much that I may need to go back to Mountain Lion just because of this.
Does anyone have any advice and may have suffered from the same issue? It worked perfectly on Mountain Lion but now it makes the videos look stretchy.

Most YouTube content requires Flash .. You're using Safari to view YouTube?
If so ...
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try a video.

23" Cinema Display: Can't disable MacBook display to use only the cinema?

I just bought a 23" cinema display with the intention of using it exclusively while I use a wireless keyboard and just keep my MacBook closed. I notice that when I set the display preferences to "mirror," the quality of the cinema display reduces greatly, since it's only able to be set at the maximum display resolution allowed for the MacBook when mirroring. This seems to defeat the purpose of having the cinema display. So, I guess I have several questions:
1. Can I close the MacBook without it going to sleep?
2. Can I make the cinema display the primary display (with application menus, etc.)?
3. Can I disable the MaBook display and use only the cinema display?

No, but if the power adapter is connected, you can wake it with the external keyboard or mouse (make sure wake-up is enabled in the Bluetooth system preference), and it will continue to run with the lid closed.
2. Can I make the cinema display the primary display (with application menus, etc.)?
Yes. In the "Arrangement" pane of "Displays" system preference, turn off mirroring and drag the picture of the menu bar to the picture f the external display.
3. Can I disable the MaBook display and use only the cinema display?
Yes. Close the lid.

There are 2 Fullscreen modes for some games. And some games only use 1 of them. The usual Fullscreen that you'd expect, and the one we call "Borderless Window".
The classic Fullscreen utilizes all your display and things like menu bar, OSD's, "Always On Top" windows won't pop up while you are playing. But the Borderless Window is just a window that has the same resolution and dimensions with your desktop, and has no borders. Other elements like menu bars, OSD's and "Always stay on top" windows can get into your way while playing. And it's also slower than the classic fullscreen.
Check if your game offers any option of selecting between these 2 Fullscreen Modes, and select the classic fullscreen mode.

The Windows bar already functions as a tab bar. Those tabs are called "windows." So, I find Firefox tab windows superfluous. How can I disable them completely from Firefox 23? I don't need what is essentially TWO windows bars covering up the entire width of my widescreen monitor's image! I already have a Windows bar at the bottom of my screen and, if I really wanted to, I could change ITS position to the top of the screen, so that it would LOOK like the Firefox tab windows bar. Firefox TABS are, essentially, a superfluous SECOND WINDOWS BAR.
Here are my reasons for why I'd rather use Mozilla's Firefox, than Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Google's Chrome. I love and admire Firefox for Mozilla's intent on good security, for Firefox's Personas add-on, and for Firefox's free use of the Ad-Block add-on which, as you know, has the distinct virtue of reducing screen clutter--the last of which is my motive for wanting to get rid of the SUPERFLUOUS Firefox tabs "windows" bar. Let me clarify even more. The Firefox add-on you mention does not remove "tabs" windows. It only HIDES the "tabs" bar when there is only one "tab" in that window. It DOES NOT end "tabs." It does not turn "tabs" off.
I know this, because, even with the add-on you recommend, the "tabs" bar often re-appears when I open a link, which--for some unknown reason--Firefox defaults to opening in a second "tab" within the same window, rather than putting it in a new Windows bar window. This, of course, disregards what I want to happen.
I want to use my Windows bar to control my windows. I do not want my Firefox browser controlling my windows--which it calls "tabs." Can you tell me how to shut off "tabs?"

This message does not convey useful information. It appears on almost all PDF files (even though they usually work correctly after all); it sometimes fails to appear even on files that don't work (so it does not accurately predict whether a given file will work); when a file doesn't work, there is no way to make it work short of using an external viewer (so the error I'm being warned about is not something I can fix); and it demands a user action to dismiss it EVERY TIME it appears (so it places a disproportionate demand on my attention). How can I disable it?
Please note that I am not looking for instructions on how to disable the built-in PDF viewer. I just want to turn off the warning message.

The only way to stop this message is to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and use another viewer.<br />
On Linux you only have an older version of the Adobe Reader available, so you may have to open the PDF files in an external viewer like evince.
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).
