Can I disable Fill & Sign toolbar?

The latest 11.0.09 release of Reader by default opens the Fill & Sign toolbar on any PDF with fillable forms.  My web application makes heavy use of embedded PDFs and fillable forms, but I do not want the toolbar to appear.  I cannot seem to find any way to prevent the toolbar from appearing.
I am processing the PDFs before embedding with IText, so I could add a preference to the file if there was one.  I am also embedding the PDF with an object tag that includes the &toolbar=0 setting.  It looks like there is nothing I can do to prevent the Fill & Sign toolbar from appearing by default.  Registry changes to user's computers is not an option.
Any ideas?

Hi Joe,
Unfortunately registry change is the only way to disable this pane.
Please try the following:
HKLM’s cServices\bEnableSignPane set to 0 removes the Fill & Sign Pane from the user interface. (full path being HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown\)
You might want to create the 'cServices' key if it's not listed there.

  • After upgrading to Acrobat Reader DC, the Fill & Sign toolbar is empty.

I have a PDF I need to initial daily, and I've been having trouble since upgrading to Adobe DC. When I open the Fill & Sign toolbar, there are no options on the bar. If someone signs and saves the PDF, I can then see the toolbar options when I reopen it. Below is a screenshot of the empty toolbar. How can I sign this without relying on others to sign and save this first? Please help!

    Hey itv70949108,
Please click on 'sign in' button on the right hand side (as shown below) using your Adobe ID credentials:
Once you are signed in, you will find all the options in the Fill & Sign toolbar on the top (as shown below):
Let me know if you need further assistance.

  • Disabling Fill & Sign from automatically opening

According to the 11.0.09 updates, Reader will automatically open the Fill & Sign pane when fields are present. I do not like this new default feature and have not found an easy option for disabling.
From the update page, it looks like I should be able to edit my registry to completely disable that pane from the user interface. While completely disabling is not ideal, I find it better to the alternative of always having it pop up.
However, when navigating to the following registry path:
HKLM’s cServices\bEnableSignPane set to 0 removes the Fill & Sign Pane from the user interface. (full path being HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown\)
I do not see a cServices folder. I've run a search on my entire registry and cannot find where this folder nor its key is held. The only subfolders all begin with cDefault...
How can I disable this setting? And is there a plan to give the end user the option to disable this pane from automatically popping up in the future?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi;
Tuning Acrobat/Reader is really designed for an IT department and not manually by an end user.  The key needs to be created and then the machine restarted to take effect.  Here is an article on preferences for IT departments which gives more information on complete registry/plist paths: 5   Preference Basics — Enterprise Administration Guide
I tried it out and it worked fine, on my machine however the FeatureLockDown was in the 32bit location even though it is a 64bit machine...
Just a note, the "Fill & Sign" panel in Adobe Reader XI is not the same as the online service "Adobe Fill & Sign", it is the name of the Tools panel in Adobe Reader for filling and signing forms.
    Thanks,

  • Slow Data Transfer on Server 2012 R2 Essentials - Can't Disable SMB Signing

I've seen several solve their slow file transfer rates by disabling SMB signing (that is, workstations connected to the server can move files from folder to folder, but it takes forever, whereas if one is logged onto the server through a third-party client
(like TightVNC), one can easily move files from folder to folder--no delay).
I thought I'd do the same as one of my clients is suffering this problem.
Unfortunately, the necessary items ("Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always)" and "Domain member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel data (always)") are greyed out and I can't disable them. I'm logged in
    under the administrator account.
    Is there another work around?

    Hi MarKomus,
    à
Unfortunately, the necessary items ("Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always)" and "Domain member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure
channel data (always)") are greyed out and I can't disable them. I'm logged in under the administrator account.
Based on your description, I understand that you want to configure those two group policy settings in client
computer, and then find that they were greyed out and can't be disable.
Just addition, please logon your Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials via Administrator account. Then open Group
Policy Management Editor and follow the path: Computer Configuration-> Policies-> Windows Settings-> Security Settings-> Local Policies-> Security Options, then please check if that two policy settings had been defined and configured in the
    DC.
If anything I misunderstand or any update, please feel free to let us know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • Get rid of the "fill & Sign"-pane when opening pdf in iframe

    hi,
I try to open a pdf in an iframe, but as it is a signed one, the pane "Fill & Sign" opens automatically, reducing the size of my document enormously. As the user can't switch the pane off (the viewer is protected), I want to get rid of this pane.
I saw some topics changing the registry to disable fill & sign completely, but this is not what I want. If necessary, if should be possible to sign documents using the viewer, but for the files I open in my web site, I want to see them without the pane.
    I use Adobe Reader XI ( 11.0.09).

You could try this solution posted here http://superuser.com/questions/558692/hiding-tools-comment-and-sign-buttons-in-adobe-reade r-xi.
In adobe reader installation folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0) Find the sub-folder Reader\Services.
Remove files "DEXEchoSign.spi" and "DEXShare.spi" (I added .bak to the name in mine)
This removes the Tools and Share toolbar options. I have not found a way to remove "Comment" yet.
That worked for me in Reader XI, not sure if it will help you with iFrame.

  • Fill & Sign on iPhone?

Can Fill & Sign work on iPhone? I can't download it to my iPhone 6+

    Hi Aadesh
This page does not answer my problem.
My version of Acrobat DC on iPad has an option on the home menu that includes Fill & Sign and I can download Adobe FilL & Sign anf when I click on the home link to Fill & Sign on the Ipad it links to thr app sitting on my Ipad.
The Adobe DC on my iPhone does not have the Fill & Sign icon on the home menu and I can’t download Adobe Fill & Sign to my iPhone.
This suggests to me that Fill & Sign is only an iPad app
Right or wrong? If wrong please advise how i should do it
    Thanks for your reply

  • How can I disable (not hide) the Boomarks Toolbar?

I have installed the "Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus 1.2" extension. In the Firefox customize toolbars box I dragged the Firefox bookmarks toolbar to the right of my home button instead of where it normally is. I then Right-clicked on the toolbar and unticked "Bookmarks Toolbar".
However whenever I restart Firefox the toolbar re-appears. How can I disable it from appearing?

My extensions don't work on Firefox 12 so that doesn't help me.
I should also point out that if I format my hard drive and re-install Windows and Firefox 5 then I don't get this problem but that's a lot of hassle.
I only get this problem when I install a new version of Firefox when I already have a previous version installed.
So before installing the new version I uninstalled Firefox and selected the option to delete my settings. I then checked my profile folder to make sure nothing was there. I then reinstalled Firefox again and all the same extensions with the same settings as before and I still get this problem.
So it's quite disturbing that I deleted all traces of Firefox yet I get this problem again which makes me think that not everything was deleted.

  • Fill & Sign not available - can´t sign PDFs - URGENT

    Hi,
we are missing the Fill & Sign functionality- can´t place signatures in *.PDF files.
installed using self created *.MST file, but to the best of my knowledge i did not make any special setting related to that. using the same *.MSI without *.MST file everything is ok.
this is the function which we are missing:
    it currently looks like this:
any help or idea would be helpful.
    Thanks,

The document was made as a fillable PDF in the former Acrobat Pro. Now, when opened in Reader DC, it says "You have opened a fillable PDF form. This form does not let you drag and drop saved information."

Can I draw a freehand line in a Fill & Sign document? I have filled in the form but need to draw a freehand line to indicate the markings on our horse's face.

    Hi franc60007656,
You can draw a straight line only in a fill and sign document and not a free hand line.
