Can I disable the CWIMAQViewer update during long image processing tasks?

I have an image processing task that will take several steps. SInce the image type changes a lot, I would like to use the Viewer as the primary image buffer, since it readily adapts to the image type.
Can I turn off the Viewer screen update to get more speed? Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

Steverino -
What do you mean that the Viewer readily adapts to the image type? I think that the image on the Viewer is the same as any other image, except that it gets displayed - do you have an example of what you are trying to do?
Setting the .ImmediateUpdates property of the CWIMAQViewer should make it update less often if this is what you want to do.
Thanks!

  • How can I disable the HP Updates Agent from running?

    HP pavilion D4100Y
Windows XP  SP2 or 3 (not sure)
    No error message
    No recent changes
Problem: The program "Updates from HP Agent" runs frequently and on no particular schedule, certainly not one I chose.  It takes over my computer for hours and uses most of the CPU, fluctuating from 13% to 87% to 1 etc.3% to 6%, etc. The computer hangs and I cannot use it for anything else. On the HP Updates screen, I set the updates to "NEVER" but that didn't work.  The programs still run. On the Windows Task Manager window the program is called "Updates from HP Agent".
I cannot find anything about this problem in the support database.

When you log out, uncheck the box to reopen applications. If you're still using 10.7.3, then you will have to uncheck the back with each shutdown or restart.
10.7.4 update was suppose to fix it that when you uncheck the box, it should remain unchecked for restarts after that.

I can not dowload the new updated software for my Ipod touch 4G. When i do I get an error message that says Network connection has timed out. I have done the trouble shooting steps. Downloaded the latest version of Itunes, and checked network connection

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

How can I DISABLE the pop up 'Would you like to copy it to Library', preventing this message from bothering for each and every book, again and again , time after time? (Windows 7 64bit US).
I guess this may be a feature request. Adobe may think this is a good message for every new eBook.
I sure would like to decide about that myself.
Thanks in advance if this will be changed.

Now to the problem, during setup I was forced to enable the phone lock and had to pick a 7 digit alphanumeric code. Fair enough I thought and went ahead. When I removed the mailbox however the lock remained in place with the default auto time of 30 minutes. When I checked in Phone management there is no option to disable this lock so I thought I could at least change the default time to something bigger but when you try, it remains at 30 mins. You also can't disable the auto time as it pops up an error message saying can't unlock phone.
Does anyone know if I'm missing something obvious here or is this something which can't be disabled once it's switched on? I've done a soft reset back to factory settings with no luck and the only other thing I can think of is re installing the firmware which seems a bit extreme.
Would like to hope there is some way to have control over this. Can someone help?
Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.
    Hope this can help you.

  • How can I disable the Photos app from automatically running when I plug in my iPhone?

How can I disable the Photos app from automatically running when I plug in my iPhone?
I have no intention of ever using Photos, in fact, having to abandon Aperture takes me one step close to moving back to Windows, but I digress.
I just want to NOT have to kill the Photos app every time I plug in my phone.
    Thanks.

I am still seeing the option Image Capture, like shown in the screenshot that Rysz posted.   But it is another example of the hide-and-seek Apple likes to play with us.
The option has to be set for each device individually. With the device connected to USB, you have to click the tiny disclosure triangle in the lower left corner of the sidebar to reveal the option.
I was perfectly happy with the program I paid for (Aperture), and now to maintain the functionality I have to pay for another application (LightRoom) to get the functionality that I paid for in Aperture.
Aperture 3.6 is working well with Yosemite. I will use it, as long as I have a Mac, that will run Yosemite or a compatible system.
Have you looked at Capture One?  It looks much more similar to Aperture than Lightroom.

iTunes app on the iPhone is for purchasing music.
The fact the iPhone starts playing when connected to your car stereo is a function of your car bluetooth system.
Consult your car dealer/bluetooth system manual.
I have attempted to delete all music from the device (so there would be nothing to play), but 1 song remains in the iphone memory and I have been unable to delete that song.
Connect the iPhone to computer and select it in iTunes.
Click the Music tab and uncheck Sync music.
Then click Apply at lower right of iTunes.

  • How can I find the latest update for Firefox 5 without upgrading to Firefox 6.0?

I had the latest version of Firefox 5 getting automatically upgraded to Firefox 6.0, which disabled my Java 6.022 and 6.023 plugin. Since updating my Java is not an option, because then I can't access my bank account, I uninstalled Firefox 6.0 and installed Firefox 5.0. I quickly cancelled and disabled the auto-update. Now I have no idea if this is the oldest or the latest version of Firefox 5, because the auto-update doesn't let me choose the latest version of Firefox 5 instead of Firefox 6.0. Is there a way to do this manually?

That are Java Console extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and not the Java plugin (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins).
You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.
    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions
You can also disable the Java Quick Starter extension: Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions
    * Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced tab -> Miscellaneous -> Java Quick Starter (disable)
    See:

  • UI Question: Can I disable the "bubble" chat style...

Okay, so I've been recently forced to download the latest version of Skype, which, up till now, I've been refusing since I was perfectly happy with the old UI's. Now it's all text-bubbles from cellphones and the bouncing and the ugh. I'm not happy. I write lots of paragraphs with my friends and this cellphone look-alike is irritating and frustrating and I really really really hate watching it bounce every time I send a new message.
So, my question is if there's any way to disable that or fix the UI so it doesn't have text bubbles or maybe download any app/anything that will reduce the amount of irritation I have and maybe just make it look like it used to? A simple white background with text on it.

No, you can't disable the bubble style chat, or the avatar's next to the bubble, or the inline thumbnails of recieved images.
Microsoft knows what you want, even if you think you want something different. You are wrong, and Microsoft is right!
More seriously, I detest the bubble style chat, and the inline avatars, and the inline image previews. I want a simple, pure text chat. No fancy bubbles, no fancy image previews, no inline avatars. Unfortunatly they forced this update onto me, and didn't give me a chance to accept or reject. I just rebooted my PC, and my old skype was replaced by this absolute trash.

  • How can I disable the tabs in safari on the ipad2

How can I disable the tabs on safari on my ipad2. I hate the tabs!!!

You can't, Safari on iOS 5 on the iPad uses tabbed browsing. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe in a future update we'll get the choice of tabs or thumbnail/paged browsing : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
In the meantime I think that the (free) Opera browser and the iCab Mobile browser in the app store offer thumbnail browsing to some degree.
