Can I disable the phone functions of an old iphone 4 so it can solely be used as an ipod for kids?

I am getting an iphone 4s, and I want to keep my iphone 4 for my 5 year old to use to play games and watch videos while on airplanes. Is there a way I can keep the iphone 4, disable it as a phone, and simply use it as an ipod?

If you did not sign out of your Apple ID in theory the new owner could use your account. However, they would also have to know your password in order to use the account.
What do you mean by you can't buy apps on your new iPad? That is such a broad statement. You are not signed into your account in Settings>Store? The new owner tried to use the Apple ID and and your account was disabled?
I would get in touch with the new owner if you have concerns. You will need to work this out somehow. I suppose that you could wipe the device using Find My iPad if it's not too late and all of the conditions for doing so are still in place.

Whatever version of Leopard you purchase, I suggest updating it to 10.5.8 which should have everything you require. To update Leopard download and install Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update. Alternatively, open Software Update and install all the recommended updates. That will include the above updater.

Yes. I do that. I don't use a print server but I was using that port for an HD. My AExpress connected to it is wired also.

Look at your router. I assume the "WLAN" light is on. If so, proceed:
Open your web browser and point it to 192.168.1.1.
Enter your user name (if any) and password.
This will take you to your router's setup pages.
Go to the "Wireless" tab, "Basic Wireless Settings"
Set "Wireless Network Mode" to "Disabled".
Click on "Save Settings" button, and wait several seconds for the page to refresh.
Exit your web browser.
Verify that the "WLAN" light on the front of the router is now off.
If it is, you are done!

Highlight the Ethernet option and click the gear icon at the bottom of the panel. There should be an option to, Make service inactive.....

No, but what you can do is use the free MDMs at http://www.simplemdm.com/ or http://www.meraki.com/products/systems-manager/ , enroll your devices, and clear passcodes set by students with the click of a mouse.

I can understand your concern, however Document Cloud is a core part of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat DC so it cannot be disabled. If you don't want to use this feature then you don't need to sign in.
If you really feel that this does not suites your requirement then you can uninstall it & re-install Adobe Reader 11 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? Did you transfer the telephone number from the old phone to the new phone? If you did, I don't see how you could still have cellular service, even if you turned it off in settings.

Are you sure? I have other devices at home. The only way I can make them disappear on the tracking list is by turning off location or resetting to factory settings.
I just want to make sure I'm not tracking a phantom that I will never recover :-(
