Can I disable the URL tooltip that pops up on the bottom of the screen?
Title says it all: I want to disable the url tooltip that appears when hovering over a link. How can I do this?
See the screenshot for Status-4-Evar Preferences. You will want to set '''Links''' to '''''None''''', and probably set '''Status Text''' to '''''None''''', too.

I want my new iPad mini to use my new Apple ID, not the old one that pops up without seemingly giving me the choice to update the Apple ID user name; as a result I haven't been able to update my APPS for some time. I changed my apple ID when I got a new e mail address a few months ago .
Any apps you have installed from the old AppleID will always be tied to that AppleID. You have no choice but to enter the password for the old AppleID if you want to update apps downloaded using that ID.
The only way to stop being asked for the password for the old AppleID is to remove all apps from the device that were downloaded using that old AppleID.
You'd then need to re-download (and re-purchase) any apps you want to keep using under the new AppleID.
Apps cannot be transferred between AppleIDs. -
I want to erase a site so that it isn't the first thing that comes up when I type into the url line
Every time I type into the URL a specific site is the first thing up. I would like to erase this site. I have tried clearing the history, doesn't do any good. I visit google 20 times a day but still this site is first everytime I start to type "g". How do I :
1) erase my preferences on the url line that pop up
2) better yet how do I get rid of the one offender from the list that pops up.If that site has a star at the far right then it is a bookmark and you need to remove that bookmark by clicking the star and click the remove button. If the entry is not a bookmark then highlight the entry in the drop down list and press the Delete key.

you can disabel it from being activated form the lock screen and within apps. got to Settings> Control Center to find those controls. There is no way to disable Control Center from the activation while on the home screen

I am using the weblogic.servlet.FileServlet and have the URL "/cxedocs/" mapped
to this
servlet. So whenever the URL http://localhost:7001/cxedocs/en_US/index.html
is used it would use the docHome associated with the /cxedocs/ URL and then append
the "en_US/index.html" on to it. So let's say d:\temp\en_US\index.html
But now for WL 7.0.2 it appears that the URL also needs to be in the directory
structure.
So it now takes the docHome "d:\temp" adds the URL "/cxedocs/" and then appends
the
rest - so d:\temp\cxedocs\en_US\index.html.
I can't require that the "cxedocs" directory be there. Is there anyway to map
a certain URL
without requiring it in the directory structure. I looked at virtual directory
mapping too but
it still seemed to require this.
Any help would be appreciated!

I opened up a case with support on this. After some research they came back with
that
NO there is no way to do this. In 6.0 it was changed to follow the spec which
restricts this.
The URL must be part of the directory path.

When I export or import from Final Cut, (the window that pops up), how do I change the way the folder places are displayed in the window?

Let me explain it this way;
When the finder window pops up upon import or export of something, the folders are in alphabetical order. I don't want them in alphabetical order, I want them in the order or place that they are in when I click on the hardrive or finder window. No specific order.Yes,

But when I open the finder and click through my different hardrives, my folders are positioned like; all the final cut folders are at the top, my current clients are all on the left side of the window, my past projects are along the right side of the window. I am use to finding things in that order.
When I go through Final Cut or Motion the folders are in alphabetical order????

when i take a call or dial a call in the high density traffic area or noicy area i can't hear properly so at that time i put my phone in the loud speaker mode.
I have had this happen to me on 3GS, 4 and 4s. Usually the solution is one of the following:
1- If your volume indicator says headphones even though they are not plugged in, then:
Stick your headphones into the headphone jack and then remove quickly.
2. If that does not work Power your phone off. Then when restarting Reset the phone by pressing the home button and the power button at the same time until the apple logo appears.
3. Make sure you have not chosen to send audio to an Airplay device such as Apple Tv.

I selected 179 photos to be printed 4 x 6. The program indicated that they were being processed. At the completion of the processing, I get the message "I can not get a connection". I am able to connect to the internet for other programs, but not aperture. What gives???

Anyone know how to stop the "activate" box from blocking usage of a perfectly legal copy of Ilisten? I want to help my dyslexic grandson and this box, including the activation code, keeps popping up, keeping me from using the software. I activated the program and did a few profile building sessions, now it pops up each time I start the program, blocking me from using it. Help sure would be appreciated.
JayI looked at your post this morning and did not know enough to respond, other than to find out that links to iListen now go to newer, renamed software. Considering it's been nine hours with no response, I'm suspecting few people here have experience with that software. You could contact the current copmany that used to sell that package and see if they have any archived support info.
BTW: please check you entry for "Mac OS" in your profile. It says iOS, which cannot run on an iMac. iOS is the system for phone and iPads but can't run on Mac computers. Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and see what it says about the OS version. Should look like this:

I updated ios on my MacBook Air to Yosemite, since then I had to update also iPhoto, as it was not compatible with Yosemite. When trying to update it I received this alert "These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID. These have already been assigned to another Apple ID." And the solution wud be to sign in using my initial Apple ID, but Im not aware of having one or changing it. I have many Mac devices so I at one point sing in to my Air with another ID not even noticing it and have it since the moment I found out the alert. Can anyone help me with this, please? And also, where are my pictures stored in my Air? Is there some folder, cuz Im used to Windows and Mac is totally new and not really clear to me for now. I need to download pictures from my iPhone and iPhoto seems to be the only way??

Try to remember any AppleID you ever may have used.
In the AppStore Application go to the "Store" menu.
It will show you the AppleiD You are currently using (in the last menu entry "View my account ....".
Use the "Sign out" command and sign in with any AppleID you ever used, ten check the "Purchases" tab of the App Store, if that will show the bundled apps.
And also, where are my pictures stored in my Air?
If you have used iPhoto to download your pictures, the photos will be stored in the iPhoto Library, a package, that is stored in the folder "Pictures" in your Home folder.

How do i remove the Tips app and the Health app that apple added to my iphone on the last update? Update 8.0.2? I didn't want these added to my phone. I have to remove apps every time there is an update. After the phone is updated I reinstall the apps I removed. After 8.0,2 there was not enough room for me to reinstall my apps because they added the Tips app and the health app. How do I remove them? When you hold your figure on the apps they added, X's pop up on all of the apps i've installed, but not on the ones that come on the iPhone and the ones that they added on this last update. Oh, knock off the fearmongering. None of those apps are spyware. Health stores all of its data on the phone. It will only back it up to your computer if you do an encrypted back up. The only data it collects on its own are steps, stairs and distance traveled. Anything else in it is information you've explicity authorized it to collect from anothr app you've installed. You're not required to put anything in Passbook, Podcasts, iBooks or Newstand. -

what you can do is back up your phone to your computer before doing the update, just as a precaution.
