Can i display my macbook screen wirelessly onto a smart tv?

I am wondering if I can easily display the contents of my Macbook onto a smart tv screen without making a wired connection. In other words can I simulate Airplay for ios on a Macbook?

The easiest way is to use an AppleTV and use Airplay for OS X to send the screen.
If your Mac is too old or doesn't have Mountain Lion, you can't use AirPlay but you may be able to use AirParrot to simulate it, but this still requires an AppleTV to receive the signal.
If you are trying to do this without an AppleTV, you will have to use some way tht works with one of the apps on the Smart TV. For example my Roku box offers a few applications like UStream that supposedly allow streaming of content from computer to TV. Some are free, some are not. Some apps probably work better than others or are less complicated to use.
But it will not be possible to recommend anything unless it is clear which applications on your smart TV allow this function. Every brand of TV has different apps on it. You'll need to look at the list of apps that can be installed on your smart TV.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can currently only airplay iTunes content from your computer to the Apple TV. Mountain lion, the next operating system, promises to bring mirroring from the Mac to the Apple TV. Whether or not there are any restrictions to which Macs or what contents can be mirrored, it is too early to say.

Firstly, the HP printer must be connected to the ASUS' network. Then, simply connect your MBP to the network and your printer should be addable in Print & Fax in System Preferences.

You can't. And the lag/delay would be so bad that it could be large. But I'd take your question to the AppleTV forum to see if someone has a solution. But the bigger question is, why???? Just mirror the MacBook directly to the TV?

I have scenario they wanted to give the amount field with decimals......actually the field is standad field
it is betrg ( i.e amount field ) data type of this field is PAD_AMT7S.

External Display Causing MacBook Screen Edge Darkening?

I recently purchased a Dell 2209WA monitor (rotated to portrait) and since using it I've noticed that my MacBook screen has a shadow down the right hand side.
Now I'm assuming that some part of this new monitor isn't suitably shielded and is affecting my MacBook screen.
I need to know whether this is causing any permanent damage or if it might be an issue with cables rather than the monitor itself?

Help with external display/broken macbook screen

I have an old MacBook that has a screen which broke a while ago, since then I have been using it hooked up to an external display through the mini-dv port.
However yesterday the system froze and I had to do a hard reboot. When it came back on, the external display was no longer set up properly. Being that the screen is broken as well, I can't figured out how to fix this.
How do I force my macbook to use the external display at startup?

I have the same problem too, but when I try, nothing shows up on my external. I cant see my screen at all, and the laptop just keeps humming as if its still starting up. I just had the hard drive replaced a couple weeks before my screen "magically" shattered.. any advice?

How can I display my macbook to ipad(s) using mirroring

There are plenty of times when I want to show the people in a meeting what i'm looking at or doing on my laptop. If they have an ipad, is there a way to "mirror" my macbook to their ipad(s) directly without signing in to skype/google+/any other video sharing and sharing my screen?

I have not been able to mirror my macbook's screen to the Apple TV through the wifi. I want to do that in the classroom for more mobility of the notebook for student use. This is because I'm trying to use iPads and Macbooks in the classroom for presentations by students and the teacher directly to the TV. Is the Apple TV the best bet?

If you are desparate, I was able to get a remote-desktop client to show my Mac's screen on my iPad, and then display that to my TV via AppleTV 2 over wifi. While it worked, it was rather slow on screen updating--you'd never be able to watch a movie for instance.

Can't connect new MacBook to wireless internet

Just bought a MacBook, but I can't get it to connect to the internet over my wireless network. It picks up the signal, I typed in the password, and Internet Connect says that I am connected. But when I open Safari it just tells me I am not connected. Then it tells me to run Network diagnostics (ISP, INternet, and Server all say 'failed'), then Network Setup assistant. I follow those steps and inevitably it tells me "unable to establish a network connection).
My router is a 2Wire that came with my DSL subscription. I have never had an issue connecting a PC using the WEP password but I'm clueless on the Mac.

I have been having a slightly different problems with my MB and the built-in wireless. On my home network I have had 4 different Windows laptops connected over the last few years and each and every time they find the network and connect no problem. With the MB it connected first time via WPA and all was well. However after about 2 weeks for no apparent reason it dropped the connection and no matter what I did it would not find the wireless network again.
Took it to work the next day and via the 802.1X network there it connected automatically as soon as I started it (previously set-up of course). Got home that night and when I started it the WPA connection worked again.
This has now happened 3 times with it working without a problem for 2-3 weeks and then just losing the connection. Generally if I switch it off and wait until the next day it all works again but as I am going to be travelling soon I need a reliable machine that connects each and every time. Guess it will be a Windows laptop then as I'm totally lost as to what to do with the MB.

Can I replace my macbook screen with a better one in order to obtain more vivid colors?

I have a 13" macbook (aluminum), using leopard 10.6.7. I've noticed the colors are not very vivid and when side by side with my girlfriends compaq cq62, the difference is obvious. I've tried adjusting contrast and everything else, nothing works. I've read that apple uses cheap TN panels and that they are the culprit and nothing can be done.
My problem is that Im doing graphic design work and need accurate color representation. I love my mac and don't want to switch computers. Is it possible to replace the screen with a better one to get more vivid colors? If so, any idea how much it would cost and if the apple store genius guys (or whatever) do this sort of thing? I've actually tried that already. And want to know something funny? When I did my own customized calibration, it turned out worse than the default!! LOL.
But the other profiles don't work either and the default seems to be the best. They don't help cuz they just change color tones and shades, but what Im needing is really bright, vivid colors. My comp next to my gf's, both showing the same picture of Bora Bora, looks dull in comparison. For example, hers has brighter greens and more shades of them and the vividness seems to give it more of a 3D depth, making it "pop" out more.
Plus when I use photoshop, the colors on the screen aren't exact; they vary from the actual color seen on printed paper. But not when I do the same thing on my gf's compaq, the colors are accurate. In my field this is very important. I can't design something and email it to someone, only to have the colors incorrect. And printing everything first ***** (don't have a good enough printer).
I've read that nothing can be "corrected" thru preferences and no software will help. It is the fault of the cheap panels apple uses. So thats why Im wondering if it is possible to replace the panel with a better one?

How can I display my Ipad Screen on pc for free?

I have seen 2 programs that do this, AirServer, and Reflector. Both of them cost money, and AirServer crashes my internet. I would like to find a program like Reflector, if possible, for free. It doesn't have to be wireless, but i don't want the screen to be choppy or laggy. If there is no other option, i will buy reflector, because with the free trial, it looks pretty good . THX!

By the way, I tried Reflector, but I want to be able to control my phone from the Mac, and Reflector seems to be display only. Do I want something that doesn't exist?

Take it to an Apple store genius bar for evaluation. They will determine what needs to be done and the appropriate coverage.
