Can I display the full address ?
I'd like to see the addresses when I send an e-mail, not just the name.
Is there a way to show them in the "To" or "CC" fields?
do you mean when you create an email before you hit the send button?
if so the go to mail>preferences>composing and make sure the "automatically complete addresses" option is checked, once that is checked when entering a name or address, leopard mail will automatically complete it for you and display the name and the address in the to or cc fields.
if you mean once sent, then you are indeed limited to the name column, and cannot add the email, from a view point of view in that mailbox.
however, if you have the preview pane up in the sent mailbox, then upon selecting an email, you can view the email address of the recipient in the preview pane by placing your mouse cursor on the "to" field and clicking on the white arrow to the right of the name you sent that email in the blue smart field that appears - assuming you have the smart addresses option checked in mail>preferences>viewing

I dont know what kind of problem do you have with display but you can try to use Calibrate color option and optimize your display illustration.

Welcome to the Support Communities! The "From" field should be showing by default, but you can check or change your settings for Mail with the instructions below:

In the Composing pane, you can set the email account that you want to send new messages from.
Also, check the View command on the Menu bar. View > Message Attributes should have a checkmark beside the "From" field.

I have connected my new Macbook Air to my existing Samsung large external monitor with a VGA adaptor but I can't get the full mac desktop to display. No icons but then websites are coming up. Help! Further info: I am a complete newbie to Mac. Had three macs prior to 2000 then four PCs. Just come back and struggling a bit with the unfamiliarity. On my old PC laptop I could simply switch from the laptop screen to the large external monitor (and back) with the F4 function key. While I can get the background image from my MBA to display, that's it. Until I noticed on the far left of the external monitor, the very edge of one of the web pages I was on. So Idragged it over to display in the centre. But that's all that's there. And now I have gone out of those web pages but they are still displaying on the monitor. There is some wierd disconnect. I'm sure it is just a setting thing. Will keep searching for answer but any advice welcome!
Your dsplay is getting extended onto the external monitor. Chcnage the setting to duplicate it or only display on the external monitor and you should be fine,

When I have to quickly minimise my e-mail account the tab shows in the bottom tool-bar of the screen but still displays the email address I am trying to hide. I wish it would not do this. In previous versions it just showed 'Hotmail' e.g. now it shows 'Hotmail: woody@ hotmail.com (e.g) for all to read if they are passing by or checking up on me!
This is caused by the changes Microsoft made to Hotmail. I could not find any setting s in Hotmail to change what was displayed. One option you can try is use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2987/ TabRenamizer] add-on.

How can I see the mac address table of a vSwitch
I am having some ARP collisions on my network and have determined that the offending mac address belongs to VMWare. I have already looked at the mac address tables of my physical switches but can't find the VMWare mac address I'm looking for. I would like to look at the mac address tables of the standard vSwitches to try to track down the root of the problem, but I fear that is not a possibility.

THANK YOU.If you're reading your data in as a 1D array, this is as simple as using the Reshape Array to make a 2D array. I've attached an example in LabVIEW 6.1 format. The example rearranges a single column of data fill several columns horizontally, but you can easily modify this code to fill the columns downward instead.

I can successfully view and control a VI remotly. However, the remote VI dinamically loads another VI, this VI loaded dinamically is a VI that allows open others VIs, I want to see the files that contains the server machine, in the client machine, but the front panel of the dinamic VI appears only on the server and not on the client, How can I display the fron panel with the files of the server machine of the dinamically loaded VI on the client computer?

It seems that you are so close yet so far. You need to get the data on the server machine over to the client. I generally do this by doing a call by reference (on the client machine) of a VI that is served by the server. THe VI that executes on the server should pass the data you want to diplay via one of its output terminals. You can simply wire from this terminal (back on the client again) to an indicator of your choosing.
Now theorectically, I do not think that there is anything that prevents use from getting the control refnum of the actual indicator (on the server) of the indicator that has the data, and read its "Value" using a property node. I have never tried this idea but it seems t
hat all of the parts are there. You will need to know the name of the VI that holds the data as well as the indicator's name. You will also have to serve all VI's. This is not a good idea.

How/can I change the "from" address in Mail?
I just upgraded to Mountain Lion, and have come across a problem.
I use iCloud for my mail account, but I want to change the "from" address - so the return address on my messages is NOT icloud.
I could do this in Lion.
In the mail account settings, there's an option that says "alias" and it lists (me)@mac.com, (me)@me.com and (me)@icloud.com, and then "custom" is an option.
Great!
So I choose Custom, and then I can type in the "from" address that I want.
However, when I go to save those changes, it tells me the SMTP server can't be left blank.
What?
It's not blank! I didn't touch it. The icloud server is still there!
Furthermore, it's greyed out, so even if it WERE blank, it's not like I can edit it!
Once this happens, the only fix is to delete the whole account from mail, and to disable mail in the icloud control panel, then re-add it.
Has anyone figured out to work around this?Apple's outgoing mail server - just like 99.9% of all other SMTP servers, does not allow "relaying", meaning you use a domain in the 'sent from' address that is different from a domain hosted by the server. The simple reason is to make it harder for any spammer - not assuming you are one - to abuse the server. While bandwidth, server capacity and server load are some issues, the main fear for ISPs is to get blacklisted, and consequently mails from such server being refused by all others.
It's a general rule, and while exceptions might be technically possible, it would be a manual act which at a certain rate would become unmanageable.

You see, it's actually good behavior and absolutely in your interest to prevent you from using a "non-in-house" 'sent from' address.
