Can i do a presentation with Keynote for IOS on my flatscreen in FullHD?

Hi,
would like to make a presentation with an ipad retina on my fullHD-TV over appleTV. I know that ipad2 maximum resolution is 1024*768 and it can not send a higher resoltution to appleTV. But ipad retina can show 2.048x1.536 wich is more than fullHD 1920x1080. AppleTV also supports 1080p-resolution. So here is the qustion:
Can i create a keynote-presentation with 1920x1080 on an ipad retina  and send it to an appleTV ?

I can confirm that iPad 4 does not solve this problem, at least not using the Lightning AV adapter with HDMI.
I'm using both the iPad 2 and the iPad 4 as a test, outputting a 1920x1080 Keynote presentation to two different plasma monitors.  Both seem to be displaying at 1024x768 or at least not full-screen.
Both, however, will play back video shot in the iPads at 1920x1080 full screen.
This is, I believe, a Keynote app issue.

  • Keynote is an amazing tool for preparing presentations. However, keynote for iOS devices(e.g. iPad) doesnot have the simple way to add audio files in to the files. When we will have the update to add music files right into the keynote slide?

I have been using Keynote for presentation slides to be used in conducting training sessions. Though, Keynote has beautiful interface with elegant transitions to animate, it doesnot provide any way to add audio or music files into the slides in iOS devices alone. I have been waiting for the update to add this very feature, but cannot find it yet. When could we have this upate?

Send Apple feedback and tell them what you want. However, many app versions of programs are skinnied down, and that functionality may not be workable in the App version. Can't know until you suggest it to them however.
Lower right corner of this page, the contact us link, give it a try.

  • Opening a shared "view only" Keynote in Keynote for iOS ?

I've shared a keynote with co-workers and given them view-only access.  It really needs to be viewed either on a Mac or in Keynote for iOS so that it retains it's audio soundtrack and it's animations.  My co-workers don't have Macs, but they do all have staff iPads.  When I send them a link to share the view-only keynote, it tries to direct them to a Safari tab and iCloud.
Is there a way for them to open a view-only Keynote in the Keynote app for iOS?  That's the only way they can see it with the designed animations and audio.

I figured it out and they DO play the background soundtrack on the iPad.
These were files created in Keynote 5.3 (iWork '09).  However, since that version doesn't allow sharing to iCloud, I made a copy of the file and opened it in Keynote 6.2 (newest version).  I shared it to iCloud as view-only.
When you click on the emailed link to the shared document, it opens a page in Safari on the iPad.  This page includes a download link.  Once you wait for the download process to finish, the normal "Open in. . ." popup (overlay at the top) appears on the Safari page and it then allows you to open the presentation in Keynote for iOS.  This plays the file AND the background soundtrack.  One of the presentations had an iTunes playlist as the background soundtrack.  Another presentation had a "recorded narrative".  Both files played with their audio intact.

  • How do I share a keynote presentation I created on my Mac with a friend who uses keynote for iOS?

I have created a presentation on my Mac in Keynote '13. It's in iCloud, and I'd like to share it with a friend who wants to work on it from her iPad with the latest Keynote for iOS installed. There seems to be no way in the world to make that happen. Airdrop: available on my Mac, not on her iPad, even though we're on the same wireless network. iCloud sharing: will open a link in the iPads safari, with a not very well working verison of iWork for iCloud. No way to download the file to the iPad and work in Keynote! Shared via Messages: the presentation will show up in messages and can be viewed in there, but it can NOT be opened in Keynote for iOS. Eventually I tried to move it out of iCloud, so I could just send it to her via mail. Guess what, Keynote '13 files can not be attached to mail?!?!?!?I thought I was reasonably tech savvy, but working with Apple's userfriendly technology makes me feel like someone who has never touched anything electronic before in his life

    Not done, sorry.
so sending by mail didn't work either, because the Keynote 13 file could not be attached to a mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Keynote 09 can as can PowerPoint). This is ridiculus. This is Apple trying really hard to make it impossible for people to work with their software

  • Is Keynote iso compatible with keynote for Mac?

Is Keynote iso compatible with keynote for Mac? Can I run a presentation on my ipad that was created on my Mac? And can I make changes on my ipad to a presentation that was first created on my Mac?

Keynote files created on one platform can be played and edited on the other, but there are many incompatibilities.

  • Keynote for iOS: Hyperlinked text, viewing notes with slides, snagging images from Safari?

Hey all! Does anyone here know if there's a way to do the following in Keynote for iOS?
    Add hyperlinked text
    View notes long with slides
Snag and display images from Safari to put into Keynote
    And if so, how?

    HI,
I have created a project similar to yours and I can't see all the issues mentioned.
But, with the links which you sent, issues are present.
So, can you send me the CPTX project so that I can verify.

  • Keynote remote app no longer working with keynote for ipad

noticed after upgrading that the keynote remote does not pair with keynote for the ipad.  Any suggestion on a resolution or anyone else experiencing this issue?

I didn't realize until I went to a class to lecture in front of a couple hundred students that what worked on Friday no longer worked on Monday.  (I upgraded to iOS 5 over the weekend.)  My iPad with lecture slides was plugged in 25 feet away.  I finally recruited a student to tap the iPad screen when I needed the next slide.  A nightmare.  What is usually slick and seamless was a wreck.
Here's my deal.  My remote app works fine at home where my iPod Touch and iPad are on the same wifi network.  At school they're on different networks for some reason.  Bluetooth doesn't work anywhere.  So Apple needs to find this bug and fix it.  I can't believe whoever is responsible for this didn't test this out before they released iOS 5.  Sheesh.

  • Presentation slides made in keynote or powerpoint do not play correctly on keynote for ios

I am working with 3 colleagues on some simple slides (foreign language vocabulary) that we build in the most recent versions of either keynote or powerpoint, then import into keynote for iOS. The slides simply play with the word, then the definition appears. Whichever appliction we use to build the slides (same thing happens with a PC/Powerpoint), about the first 10 or 15 slides work fine, then none of the following slides have the animation.
To repair, we have to select each slide individually and go to the 'wrench' settings, select the second word, and select animate.
Is this a bug with a fix?
Is there a way to repair all the slides in a file at once?
    Thanks.

yup, that's a glitch (bug, feature?) in the QT export. You simply can't interrupt the playback on slides with a button until everything on that slide is done. Works fine in Keynote, doesn't work fine in QT.
The only way I know to fix it is to learn how to use LiveStage Pro and edit the sprite tracks so they work properly. And I have no idea how to do that.

  • Fail to import Keynote 09 presentation to Keynote for iPad

Up to now, I did not manage to import a presentation to Keynote for iPad. I already tried to simplify the presentation as much as possible (changed font to Arial, removed background, compressed embedded pictures). The presentation runs smoothly in Keynote 09 but as soon as I try to open it on the iPad, I get an error message "Unknown error". Does anybody experience the same issue? Any ideas how to proceed?
Thanks in advance - I really appreciate any hint as I love the iPad and using my presentations on it is a core application for me.
    Thomas

Thomas!! Great to see you here, as I was looking into this exact problem! My sig other got it working after having this issue for a while:
She was able to succeed simply by opening the keynote file on her Mac, then doing a 'save as' to get a fresh copy and a new name. Note that we tried just copying the file to a new location first without success.
Importing the fresh file worked perfectly. Hope this helps you and others... Hope all's well with you! =)
    Cheers!

Hi all, i'm new to Mac book & Xcode. I'm learning and facing problems while creating a new file for Xcode. Before i upgrade the software, i have no issue to create simple steps in apps. After upgrade Xcode to 4.6 version, i'm facing lot's of issue eg.
    1) "the identity "iphone developer" doesn't match any valid certificate/ private key pair",
    2) can't select the box "with XIB for user interface" if the subclass is "UIViewController"..

I wouldn't judge. I've been to Arch for a week, you know? But as said, it's VERY close to it.
What I dislike after a week is makepkg not handling dependencies automatically (which would be overhead, so probably not appropriate).
Mikko777 wrote:Also theres KDEmod for modular kde, dunno if its for 64 bits tho.
Don't actually need that as said ... I see no real benefit of having that other than not beeing a KDE user or having Gentoos useflags.

  • Can you blur the background with Touch for phone

Can you blur the background with Touch for phone.  Can you give images a depth of field look

you can using the selection tools and blur option, but no image editor will ever be as good as a camera app with this function built in.

  • Is it possible to import a pdf figure into Keynote for iOS?

    Hi,
I was eager to use Kynote on my new iPad Air to make some presentations. But I use a lot of vector graphics in pdf and eps format for my figures. I found out that it is not possible to import such file format into Keynote for iOS. I understand that .eps might be quite outdated already and will never be supported but pdf?!
It would be best if I could insert my figures directly from Dropbox but since this doesn't seem possible I would be happy to download my pdf figures to iBook for example and import them from there. This doesn't seem to be possible either. Keynote allows me only to browse my photos and it is not possible to put pdf files in Photos.
Overall - big disappointment from Keynote for iOS to me. It is unusable for my needs and preferences.

You can import pdf's in keynote!
Make a pdf with Indesign or something like that. Make sure your pdf has the same resolution as your Ipad: For example, Ipad Air: 2048 x 1536 pixels. (In Indesign, you'll have to create a doc with intent Web (instead of print).
Then, use a file manager app, like File Manager Pro (https://itunes.apple.com/NL/app/id558270538?mt=8&affId=2083450) to copy the pdf's to your Ipad by using WIFI.
In the app File Manager Pro, just select your pdf and copy it.
Now start Keynote, create a new presentation and create a blank sheet.
Now you can paste, and your pdf will appear, transparant and exactly the same size as your presentation.

  • Keynote for iOS file size: inserting photos from Mac first or from iPad?

    Hi!
This one is for people with advanced and extensive knowledge of Keynote for Mac and for iOS:
Does inserting pictures in Keynote for iOS from the Photos app result in a leaner file size than importing the Keynote file with pictures already inserted from the Keynote for Mac app?

    Hey Timmy,
I use Dropbox to get my photos to/from my iPad to my computer wirelessly (no iTunes). The process below is one I posted a few weeks ago for the opposite process than what you're wanting to do (from iPad to computer) but Dropbox will work both ways. Just set up a Dropbox folder on your computer and set up the Dropbox app on your iPad and they will both be in sync automatically.
    Hope this helps!
    ~Joe
---from a post I did a few weeks ago---
The Dropbox app has a very cool auto-upload process that will automatically upload photos from the iPad Camera Roll to Dropbox.
First sign up for a free Dropbox account from your computer.
Then, download the free Dropbox app on your iPad.
Log in to the Dropbox app on the iPad with your new account and click on the Photos icon in the lower left corner of the screen (second one from the left).
Select "Enable Camera Upload" and "Only Wi-Fi." The upload process will begin for all existing photos in the Camera Roll.
From now on, all future photos taken by the iPad will automatically upload to the Dropbox folder. You can then download your photos from Dropbox to your computer by going to http://www.dropbox.com, logging in to your account, and downloading the photos. You can then put the photos on a USB drive or burn to a CD or upload them to a photo processing website.
    Hope this helps!
    ~Joe
