Can I do without Bridge?
With Lightroom2, do I still need Bridge and if so why? Can I delete Bridge without causing any problems in Photoshop?
I am using Leopard. Will dumping Bridge into the trash be the best way of getting it out of the system?

Why get rid of it? You paid for the license to use it. Remember, Bridge is a file browser that supports many more file types than does Lightroom.
It also integrates nicely -- some would say better -- with other Creative Suite products than does Lightroom. I rarely use Bridge/ACR but it is still a useful addition to my toolbox.
One example: Photoshop is still the king for extensive image manipulation such as compositing. I'll use Lr to rate and develop my images then export the 10 or so images into a folder that I'll use for my composite. I'll direct Bridge to that folder and perhaps add some vector files or images from other sources. That folder will contain my working files and perhaps even some PDF files or even some video files. Bridge handles it all.

I am in the process of a system rebuild. I have installed Adobe CS3 Web Premium which of course comes with Bridge CS3. Now I want to re install my Encore 2.0 which comes with an older version of Bridge as part of the package. Now I am worried that
A> The installer will try to install Bridge old version and mess up the new one.
and/or
B> If there is an option to install just Encore without Bridge (cant remember the sequence) will Encore 2 talk to Bridge CS3, or vice versa?
How should I go about this? I now have all my Adobe apps running really sweet except for this one and I dont want to mess things up!

JHmm... guess it depends on the individual computer, or exactly what Encore and/or Premiere are doing at the time... 'cause I know I've read messages from people who have tried task switching, and whatever they were doing promptly stopped
I didn't pay much attention (can't even remember if it was Encore or Premiere, but think Premiere) but it seems to me that if the program was DOING something, like rendering, the operation failed when focus shifted to another program
Oh well... I've always just started Encore or Premiere and walked away for awhile unti it was done
So... I guess the best thing to do for anyone who wants to know... start something going in Encore or Premiere and then Alt-Tab to another program, and see what happens -

I currently run 10.9.1. I can open Adobe Photoshop CS6 in high resolution without any problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.

Greetings, I have a problem with CC Photosop 2014 I can not activate the Menu-Window-Extensions, I can not access Mini Bridge. In the File Menu- Bridge I can access without difficulty, but using the window Menu- Extensions are not enabled. Working on Mac platform
Try closing the iTunes App, reboot the iPad and then try again.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the iTunes app that and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You don't have multiple Apple ID's do you? No content restrictions in Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content>Music & Podcasts? -

Welcome to the community.
Unfortunately, you cannot do that. The first hurdle that you are going to face, is that mobile devices, by virtue of being prone to loss, will always require that a password is entered before a purchase of any kind is made.
If your concern about the password, is related to your privacy in regard to your mail, contacts and calendar information rather than their acces to make purchases, then the best solution would be for you to use another Apple ID for iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services. -

i am using numbers in the new iWork. Just bought it 10 days back. I am not able to figure out how to add serial umbers from 1 to 100( for example) also i need to freeze the top header like in windows so that we can browse down without the heading going off. Can some one help?

Be aware that "Freeze Header Rows" and "Freeze Header Columns" apply only to rows and columns that are Header rows or Header columns. You can have up to five Header rows, Five Header Columns (and five Footer rows) on a Numbers Table.
"Header rows" is a special designation. Besides being able to be frozen, Header and Footer rows are not included in formulas referencing whole columns, making it possible to place formulas such as =SUM(B) at the top (or bottom) of column B without causing a self-reference error, These designated rows are also not included in sorts of the rows in a table.

I need to make a pdf document, already made in photoshop, 'page turn' and then add it to my website as an e-brochure. I know I can do this in indesign but indesign will not open pdf files for some inexplicable reason. Any ideas how I can do it without completely starting again?

please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.

You can't disable FaceTime remotely. If you activated Find my iPhone in the device, go to iCloud and Find my iPhone. You can block or erase your iPod if it's connected to Wi-Fi, but you won't be able to track it -
When I try and print an "Approach Plate, or Departure" from ForeFlight to my Epson Stylus NX430 using AirPrint the image is resized. How can I print without it resizing. I want to have the plate print in the original size so I can use it. Is this an Apple, Epson, or Foreflight Issue? I just purchased the printer so I can return it and get a different model or brand. I spoke to Epson and the suggestions given did not resolve the issue. I have cut the paper down to the size of the plate roughly 5.5x8 and it still try's to print at 8.5x11. I have also requested help through ForeFlights Tech help but have yet to receive an answer.
Please help!It varies based on what you ordered and whether it is in stock or has to be assenbled and shipped from China. Your email conformation should give an estimate of when the items are expected to be shipped or available for pick up if you are having it sent to a local Apple Store.

Are you having problems? If so, tell us what they are.
If you just want tons of fonts, you should have a good font manager, other than the Font Book that comes with your Mac. And you should avoid "free" fonts. They cause monumental problems. -
How many times can I suspend (without billing) my service?
I know I can suspend it twice for at most 90 days each time. I'm wondering though whether it is possible to suspend it more than twice in a year as long as it's not for more than 180 days overall.
Since I have a smartphone and I'm on the more everything family plan, suspending without billing means that the bill will be 40 dollars less/month, right?

You're right on track, the maximum amount the line can be suspended without billing is 180 days within a 12 month rolling period. So you can suspend the line multiple time as long as the time frame does not extend beyond the 180 days. Actually we call it as Grayscale. But Grayscale is a mixture of all colors. If you only wish to print Black & White only, you need to set "Black Ink only" as default. Please try:
The setup may vary from printer to printer but basically (for Windows):
(a) Double click printer icon on desktop,
(b) Click Set Preferences,
(c) Click Advanced,
(d) Select "Black Ink only" for Print in Grayscale
(e) Click Ok/Apply ...

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
