Hi everybody, I updated my iphone 4s to ios6 but i find it little bit slow, so the question is: can I downgrade my iphone to ios5.1.1 ? please answer me as fast as you can.

All you have to do to downgrade is plug in your device into iTunes and click restore. Let it do it's thing and you'll be back on 5.1.1. And if that doesn't work. Just search on google for its 5.1.1 for your device and download it. And after that shift then click on restore and browse for your the 5.1.2 firmware (for windows) and Mac use (alt) and click restore. Hope this helps cause I'm sure everybody with an apple device has done so,etching crazy like him so stop judging the man. Or woman.

I want to downgrade my ipad3 and iphone 4s from ios6 to ios5.1.1 so that I can use Google Maps again. I need to do this before my travel season starts in about a month. If this can't be done in time then I'll have to look elsewhere.

I do have a pc too. for right now I only have my old macbook pro since I moved to NY for working. So I only have a mac to synk to iphone.. "Sunnycide" so you are saying I have to purchase another mac to do this thing....sigh
beside I do have snow leopard and mountain lion OS cds which are not readable in my macbook pro. as I mentioned, a guy in apple store said mine can't upgrade. It only works in 2008 macbook pro(later) model at least..

I updated my 4s a week ago and yesterday I cannot access email, internet or anything that requires data(internet connection). Wifi works just fine. I can recieve calls, make calls, and send and recieve texts. But imessage does not work. Battery life is worse. If Apple cannot allow to downgrade software on your ios device then they should not offer software upgrades or make phones or devices period. If there is so many bugs with ios5, why did it take 8 months and 6+ betas for testing to come out with such a poorly developed software, designed phone, and high volume of dissatified customers. Apple needs to get their heads out their rearends and start realizing that they need to start satisfying customers instead of satisfying their wallets. If not they will never get ahead of google and android in the device domination. I am highly dissatified customer and this is one reason I will never give up my pc over to a mac. If anyone can help my situation I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

By voiding your warranty and hacking it. There may be other fixes though. Try resetting network settings in settings>general>reset. If that doesn't work try a hard reset. If that doesn't work then backup, restore as new, then from backup

On my PC I have fropm the last synchronisation IOS5. Unfortunately upgraded to IOS6, which I deeply regret. Got already an answer that Apple does not allow downgrading.
But what happens if I connect to Itunes, mark "repair" whereby I am give the choice to repair either from scratch or from my last synchronisation (which is IOS5)

I did not do anything unauthorized
I just restored the official 5.1.1
I saved it before upgrade to 6.0 through itunes
my iphone not jailbreaked...
google maps and all software still working perfectly!
