Can I downgrade to 10.0.4 from 10.1?

10.1 has ruined my current workflow since I forgot to turn OFF automatic app downloads - can I downgrade to my prior version of Logic Pro X?

I am on the phone waiting for support - I will post the link to the installer once I get it from them

How can I downgrade to 7.1.2 from IOS 8 (iPad air and iPhone 5S)?
Can you restore from backup?  That would be best to keep all your stuff.  You can find usually several versions under restore option in iTunes.  I really hope you have one of those iOS7 versions backed up to iTunes.
If you really want to start over, and I mean no contacts, photos, music, apps, anything but factory settings that aren't in the cloud or in one of the restore options. You can search ios 7.1.2 firmware and download it and install by shift click restore and choose the file you downloaded.  But that is a really desperate act.  But this also requires iTunes and if you've been using iTunes you probably have a backup.

  • Can I downgrade a new mac mini from 10.8 to 10.6?

Just purchased a new Mac mini as a filemaker development platform for work. It shipped with 10.8. About half-way through getting it all set up I realized that the Filemaker 11 software I'm using has older plugins, these plugins are only compatible up to OSX 10.6. Can I downgrade this machine to 10.6?  Or can I just upgrade the plugins on this mac mini without impacting all the users of my database who have older platforms and older plugin versions?

If you have no plans to upgrade Filemake, then I suggest you export your database to a more "universal" format such as Tab Delimited or CSV. These are text formats that almost any other database program can import. Then you can move to a new DB application compatible with Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion contains the SQL database for which there are numerous frontend GUIs.

  • HT202157 How can I downgrade my Apple TV 2 from the latest iOS5 to version 4.4.4?

I am not liking the new interface of the Apple TV iOS5, also unable to use few items, is there any way of restoring my previous version?

Unfortunately you cannot. Apple has stopped signing tthe 4.4.4 software. Technical info: Apple uses an SHSH blob to sign the iOS software and w/o it your STUCK with the new interface.

  • How can I downgrade to OS X Mavericks from OS X Yosemite?

  • How can i downgrade my iPad 1 to iOS 4?

I see there are other posts on this where everyone responds saying to Google how.
Well the method to do this with TinyUmbrella only works if you have saved your SHSH blobs before you upgraded. And for the record nothing about downgrading requires jailbreaking. And it's not risky to try whatsoever.
I didn't save my SHSH blobs before only recently upgrading the iOS version, even after learning my lesson with my iPhone 3G when an update to that rendered it so slow it became an expensive paperweight.
Now I have an iPad 1 which is a piece of hardware that will last for many years to come. I don't need another iPad what I need is for the hardware I paid for years ago as an "early adopter" to work as if bloody well should do.
IOS 5 is so laggy it's ridiculous. This I beleive is done intentionally by Apple just to force people to buy more stuff they don't really need. But hey, that's progress, that's what many tech companies do.
But what I want to ask is, if SHSH blobs can be faked?
Surely a developer knows what data is required from the iPad to create SHSH blobs. Since they're unique to each device surely someone who knows enough about Apple firmware and software could fake them and then downgrading would be possible.
So is there anyone here who knows if it can be done and if so how?
If no one on here can help, could I go to an appointment with one of those "geniuses'" in an Apple store and have them do it?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

It can be a bit annoying that we can't downgrade either iOS like going from 7 to 6 or downgrade any apps, specially if the update app you downloaded is not what you expected. It can be unfair and wrong. Some of us may look at either an iOS or an app, and like it, download it, then later when we do the update, we sometimes find the next version had changed too much and is not what we wanted in the first place.
It is not easy when it comes to iOS, but when it comes to an app, you can have two options, never update if you're really happy with the current version, or update only direct to iPad but don't sync to iTunes. Try out the app and if it is not what you paid for, you can delete it from iPad as long as you have not updated the app in your iTunes library, and sync the earlier version from iTunes back to iPad.

  • How can i downgrade from os x 10.9 to 10.7 without time machine

can i downgrade from os x 10.9 dirrectly to 10.7?

You should start a new topic thread, so as to get more exposure
to your question; this is suggested due to the status of where you
posted your item (now answered) will see fewer people with any
answer; mostly those seeking answers like their own question.
If your MacBook Pro shipped with a system later than the
DVD version OS X 10.6 you have, the disc would not work.
However, if the DVD you have is the Original OS X version
the MacBook Pro came with, you could use it in much the
same way as it worked before installing Mavericks 10.9.x
By 'reverting' to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 you will essentially lose all
of the content on the hard disk drive. I am not certain if you could
even import anything from a 'time machine' device that had been
created under the newer Mavericks 10.9 system. Since you have
to boot the computer with the install DVD for 10.6, and erase the
hard disk drive, reformat it to GUID and HFS+ (whatever default
for Snow Leopard) and that would remove the Recovery partition
on the computer's hard disk drive, and any other partitions.
Insert the Snow Leopard DVD into the optical drive, and restart
while holding the C key down, until the Installer disc is running
the computer; this would be rather slow, as it reads from the DVD
in order to build the Installer desktop, and access files to attempt
an installation. It may also be testing the hard disk drive, etc.
Once the computer is booted from the SL 10.6 install DVD, you
can look into the Utilities menu (in top of screen, like in Finder
desktop) to choose Disk Utility from the drop-down menu, and
once you launch Disk Utility, note there are sections within it
to choose from. You can choose Secure Erase (single pass) if
you want to have the utility overwrite zeros on the entire HDD.
This a bit longer then a basic erase & install. It wipes everything.
If not, choose to erase all Partitions and be sure it does this.
Afterward you would need to be sure it reformats the hard drive
with a correct partition map & file type. GUID & HFS+ journaled.
The tools are in the Disk Utilty that you run prior to the Installer
itself, as there are options in the menu just like Finder desktop.
Once the hard drive is erased, partition mapped, & reformatted,
it should be easy to put an all-new system 10.6 on the hard drive.
(That is, if the OS X DVD you have is a retail version, and if your
computer shipped with a system older than the one on that DVD.)
Should you choose to, an idea some suggest prior to upgrade
and also prior to downgrade, is to make a full clone of the system
that is running the computer on an externally enclosed hard disk
drive (see carbon copy cloner, or superduper, clone utilities) so
as to have a complete running system that can boot the Mac...
If you had one of these prior to upgrading to Mavericks, it would
be able to run your computer without re-installing. You could just
use the clone utility, again, to clone it back to the wiped Mac HD.
Or run Snow Leopard from the external, at a slightly slower rate
given the USB 2.0/3.0 to an external is slower than bus speed.
Not sure if this helps. However you may benefit from more
exposure to your question in a new topic thread, and that
could be in Snow Leopard, Mavericks, or this ASC section.
There are advantages to posting in an OS X named topic
since people with all kinds of supported Mac would see it.
Hopefully you can revert, and also have some kind of a way
to make a backup of any works you may need a copy of.
The applications in Snow Leopard, older than Mavericks,
may not like to handle files made with newer software.
Though there is a cost to set up the ability to make and use
full bootable system clones, the external drive, time, learning
and testing the idea to see if you can master it before erasure,
the results are worth the effort; since you then have a backup.
A full backup, and it is a manual effort to make this kind, unlike
    the 'time machine' bits and pieces, this can bring back the Mac;
if used with a time machine backup, too, could be opportune.
    Good luck & happy computing!
