Can I download LR on both my desktop and laptop?
I tried my serial number on my new laptop and it isn't working. I need it on both machines.
Yes, your license permits you to have two activated installations. You might have downloaded a Cloud version instead of a licensed version. try downloading thru the links below...

I have a monthly subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro. Can I load it on both my desktop and laptop?
Hi glennm98649874,
Absolutely yes! You can install your Acrobat subscription on up to two computers like your desktop & laptop.
Install Acrobat and use the same Adobe ID credentials to activate the software on both the machines.
Try and let me know if you need further help.

Yes. You aren't supposed to use them simultaneously.

I own CS4 . It is registered with Adobe covering both my desktop and laptop. I have a brand new laptop . How do I put it on my new and remove it from my old ?
On the old laptop, under Help, choose deactivate.
Install on the new machine, and enter the serial number to activate. -
My thinking is that if both the program and the library are on the same external drive it's easy for me to use the desktop when at home, and use the laptop when away from home. All I need to do is take the external drive with me. Is this possible? Are there any watch outs or downsides to doing this?
MTIAYou can store the images and the LR catalog on an external drive, yes. But you would need to have the LR application installed on both the laptop and desktop machine and just move the drive with the images and catalog back and forth. That's pretty common...

Hi all
So I have lightroom on both my laptop and desktop and sync catalog through google drive.
I have been working on the desktop all week on edits of high res scan in lightroom.
Today i opened the program to find everything i have done for a week isn't there.
Help.
I feel it has synced to the last time i opened on my laptop and lost what ive on on the desktop.
any help much appreciated.
pI have no idea what happened, why you are seeing what you are seeing.
My only guess at finding the missing work is to look under File->Open Recent on both computers.
I do know that if you aren't making regular backups of your catalog file, and relying on synchronizing catalogs from one computer to another via the cloud, you are living very dangerously, and now you are possibly going to pay the consequences of not making regular backups. -
Is there a way to use CC for both my desktop and laptop?
I need to use CC on my laptop when traveling and then my desktop, when I return. Is there a way to do this without purchasing two subscriptions for the one 'me'?

Assuming your subscription is still current, you are allowed to install Adobe products on two devices - namely a laptop and a desktop.
Therefore, there is no need to buy two subscriptions. Just download the Adobe CC cloud APP and sign in using your email address that you used to get the subscription. The system will recognize you as soon as you are online and the software will be activated on your machines.
Hope this helps. -
Does the license include both a desktop and laptop installation??
I have LR5 installed on my Mac Desktop and also want to install it on my Mac Air, does the license allow for this?
Yes, assuming you have a perpetual licence, it allows this setup, as long as you do not use them both at the same time!

Can I install Lightroom 5 on both my desktop and laptop using same license?
I work both at school on my desktop iMac and on my MacBook Pro laptop at home. Am I able to install the program on both machines using the same license key?
Yes you can, provided you're the only person using each copy.

Hi Mctest,
You can download and install the software on two machines for your personal use.

Question re itunes on both PC desktop and laptop
Hi,
I have itunes as my default player on my PC desktop running Windows XP Pro. I would like to copy all my music, (both songs purchased from itunes and cds copied onto itunes) onto the laptop which runs Windows Vista home premium. Is it possible to have the same music on both machines? I have the shared library on the laptop but this disappears when the desktop is turned off. Would I have to manually copy all the music onto the laptop?
Thanks in advance.Yes, just copy all the music onto the new machine, and add it to the iTunes library there. You can use a USB flash drive or an external hard drive to do the copy.
If you want to get slightly fancier and keep the two machines in sync, you can look into 3rd party programs.
