Can I download my music from my iPod to my ipad

I want to put the music from my iPod to my iPad, can I do it without going back to my library on my desktop

If it is music purchased from iTunes and you are in a country that allows it, open iTunes on the iPad and go to purchased.
If you have iTunes match-go under settings, music and turn it on.
Go under music on iPad, you will music listed with a cloud icon. Click on it to download.
You cannot connect iPod to iPad.

  • Computer crashed...can I download my music from my ipod to my computer?

my computer crashed and all the music I had was erased but my ipod still has it. Is there a way I can download it from my ipod to the computer?

    Hello la chefesse,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. The first link below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple Google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

My wife purchased me a Ipod classic 80GB back in 2007, she also has a Ipod classic, but both are under user name and password. I have a newer PC. How can I download the music from my PC to my Ipod?

iRip is a nice little program  it will get all your music, books, podcasts off your iPod without knowing a password or the iPod not sync to the iTunes library.

  • How can i get my music from my ipod to another device?

my ipod is dying  and i'm trying to get all my music off it to put on a new devise. How do I do this?

You don't have them in iTunes on your computer now? If not, see this support article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
For content not purchased from the iTunes Store, check out this post from Zevoneer for some iPod/iPhone media recovery options:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10570955#10570955
This of course presumes that the iPod works well enough to do the transfer. If not, then you can re-download purchased music from the iTunes Store - look under the Purchased section in the Quick Links.
    Regards.

  • CAN I TRANSFER MY MUSIC FROM MY IPOD NANO TO MY MACBOOK PRO

can i transfer my music from my ipod nano to my macbook pro.

Yes, you can. If your music collection was purchased from iTunes, you are in a good shape since that music is forever yours under your iTunes account. Therefore, after installing iTunes on your new computer, sign into your account and see all your music under "Purchsed". Then simply download it to be phisically present onto your macbook pro (for free since you've already paid for it).
On the other hand if you happens to not be a sucker to waist money on iTunes and your collection was ripped from the internet (via torrents and such), you can follow this guide to transfer ipod music to mac. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.

  • HT203167 I would like to download my music from an iPod to iTunes library is that possible? Our last computer got fried so unable to retreive info from it to new computer. Will I have to re-install all the music from CD's?

I would like to download my music from my iPod touch to iTunes library, is that possible?  Our old computer fried and we were unable to salvage any information.  All of the music that I downloaded from CD's is not in iTunes on our new computer. Will I have to reload all CD's?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, then you will need to rip the dvds again

    Hi There
You can only transfer purchased music from your iPod to iTunes using iTunes. However there are third party utilities that you can use to retrieve your music, just do a google search or have a look on http://www.versiontracker.com
    Hope this helps

Then you will need to search for a 3rd party program to transfer content
    Pasted from another thread
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2234756?start=0&tstart=0
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola and iDump andiPodRobot.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
    More information is contained here.

Music Rescue also works as far as restoring your playlists etc. I've used it twice, you can use the Quick Recover mode, but have to click continue trial (something like that) allot, cp. to purchase option. Otherwise diesel is right as far as restoring via  your purchase history.
Here is a review of Music Rescue.
