Can I download non-HD content only?

Because I have slow DSL service and limited hard drive space on my computer, and because the HD downloads along with the regular TV downloads consume over 2 gigs, I am wanting to download only the non-HD (regular TV) content (which is only .5 gigs). Is there an easier way to manage this than by deleting all of the HD downloads manually (but which then automatically have to be re-deleted each time the system automatically checks for new downloads)? Since I only watch these on my iPod when traveling, the HD content is not important to me.

Every single HD movie or TV show has an option somewhere on the page to get the non-HD version. I could not find a single HD video that did not also offer a standard definition version. It may not jump right out at you, but it is there. You may find SD buttons on the same page, or you may find a SD link to another page.
In this sample, you have to click on the show's name (Desperate Housewives) to get to the SD version page:

You can always setup your GMail account on your Mac as a POP3 account, and then flag GMail to mark all messages new. The next mail check would cause your mail app to download all the messages on teh GMail server to your mail client. Once they are in your mail client, you manage them locally in there, and it won't matter if the GMail host account goes away or not, because POP3 works with the local data once it is downloaded form the server.
Be advised that doing this can cause you to redownload thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of emails depending upon your email volume and how long you have been using GMail. If I do this, my GMail wants to re-send close to 6GB of data to me again because I have been using GMail for about as long as it has existed, and I average 100-200 emails a day on that account.

Content may be unavailable because of licensing rights, copyright issues, government restrictions....all out of Apple's control. If you know that the developer has other content available in your country, contact them and let them know that you would like to have the game available in your App Store. It can't hurt to let them know.

I've discovered that I can't download files in yahoo only, Gmail works ok and I can download from yahoo using Internet Explorer.

I've tried all the suggested solutions in: What to do if you can't download or save files.
I can't download from Yahoo, but can from Gmail. I've tested using copies of the same file on both. Someone suggested checking malware, but I've run a scan and don't have a problem, and as I say, i can use Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Someone asked for a screen shot, who knows why.

Download error (8003) can not download all purchased content - Please help?

I have tried everything short of deleting my apple tv and starting again (already done the soft resets).
My recently purchased products only downloaded in part... spent $300 on content much of which I can not watch = very annoying.
Laptop is nearly full, so downloading to that and syncing is not really an option... just want thew apple tv to do what is advertised.

try this, I could not find anything specific about that error code:
Solution
Deleting the cached video files of the download, and starting the download again from the beginning, often will resolve this issue.
To find the cached video downloads:
1. Navigate to the downloads folder on your system. This folder can be found in the following locations:
Mac:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Downloads
Note: The tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
Windows Vista:
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
Windows XP and 2000:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\
2. Locate the folder that contains the cached video file for this purchase.
In Windows Vista, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .tmp.
Example: The Dundies.tmp
In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the folder will be named for the purchased video, and the name will end with .m4v.tmp.
Example: The Dundies.m4v.tmp
3. Move the .tmp folder for the affected purchased video to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
4. Open iTunes.
5. From the Store menu, choose Check for Purchases.
6. Enter your account name and password and click the Check button.

Can't download in Firefox browser only, unless computer is in safemode.

When Firefox is running, the memory usage continues to grow without stopping until windows begin to drag as if I were really taxing my computer and internet, when I'm not. I also cannot download anything through Firefox, unless I reboot my computer to Safe Mode.
I have run through all of the tutorial/knowledge trouble shooting. Cleared all my history cookies, changed folders, removed extensions, disabled plugins, Refreshed Firefox, use the Firefox Safemode. None of it has changed anything.
I can use Chrome to download just fine, even when my computer is not in Safe Mode.
This all seemed to start within the last 4 days or so, and I remember that Firefox made me update about then. My laptop does not have the update and Firefox works fine. I'm currently at a loss. I prefer Firefox, but I have to use a different browser in order to continue working. My business is heavy with internet communication and this has been a nightmare. No, I don't think that's the issue. I have no problems downloading the video using URLLoader, which does the crossdomain check. Problem is when I do this:

stream.appendBytes(videoByteArray as ByteArray); // videoByteArray is taken from URLLoader downloaded content, i.e. the video
As you can see NetStream doesn't know anything about the video, it doesn't know anything about the server, so it can not take something from crossdomain.xml.
As far as I've read, it's imposible to do what I'm doing: simply Flash security won't allow to take contents of anonymous stream (i.e. stream started with play(null)).
So my question is: how do I download video first and then play (instead of streaming) it in some other way? I couldn't find such API on NetStream itself.

Yep, I know it was released for the World Junior Hockey Championships, but it was a recent release since the World Juniors were only last month so I am hoping he still will have it released world wide. After all it the money is going for Canadian Hockey (Youth I believe) so you would think he would want to raise as much money as he could. How can i download home shared content on my ipad

I have some non ITunes movies on my PC computer that I have home shared. I can import them onto my MAC via ITunes. I can see and play them on my IPad but I don't see how to download them. I would like to be able to play them when I'm not connected to the Internet. I don't want to sync with ITunes on my computer to get them as that would require syncing everything else (I think).

if they are in the supported format you just connect the ipad to the computer and navigate to it and click on the movies tab and set them to sync
then click the sync button and they are syncronized to the storage of your ipad

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
