We r leaving for a trip tomorrow and I want to download a few movies, but I want to know if we can watch them without using the at&t service and just use them as movies ?
Yes, I just did that on a recent trip. I don't have cable, so I downloaded a bunch of cable TV shows that I had heard good things about and watched them on the train, on planes, in the airport, etc. The TV shows or movies are stored on the iPad itself, so you don't need an Internet connection. (Streaming Netflix or Hulu is another matter. You DO need an Internet connection for that.)

You are very welcome. I lived in France for a couple years and wish I could buy books from the French bookstore but cannot so am very familiar with this issue.

The movie would be in your iTunes library, in the Movies application. However, if the rental period has expired, you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support about your situation:

Thank you alleycat. I have two rental movies in my iTunes library in the rentals section top left of the window that have not been played. I have home sharing turned on on both my apple TV and my Mac. Both machines are completely software updated. I can see all of my owned movies in the Computer>Library>Movies section of the menus, but neither the rentals themselves nor a rental fouler are anywhere to be found on the apple TV. I dropped by the apple store on the way home from work and they suggested that it should be working just as you described, and suggested a restore, which I've performed. Still no rentals from the Mac library are visible on the apple TV. Any ideas?

i rented a movie from the itunes store in hd and closed itunes on accident after letting it download and after reopening itunes i am un able find my movie rental. ive searched in my library, movies, etc. and i cannot find it anywhere. i did start it... but i have atleast another 20 hours to watch it before the rental expires.
Doublechecking. Did you download the rental in iTunes for Mac, iTunes for Windows, or an iOS device?

Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache. If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
Here is an alternate download... You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

If these are videos taken with your iPad, you can only add them to iCloud by adding them to a shared stream, as discussed here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99.
If these were movies purchased from the iTunes store, they are already in iCloud and can be redownloaded again in many countries for free as long as the movie is still available and the studio allows it. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 and iTunes in the cloud availability by country here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085.
To be safe, import them to your iTunes library so you know you have them. To do this, connect your iPad to your computer, open iTuens and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Then you can sync them back to your iPad later if you ever need to. -

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to download content of wiki pages on SharePoint Online.
If just for getting the text of the page, I suggest you convert page to PDF file first and then download the PDF file via a Visual Web Part as a Sandboxed solution.

I can't download Lion 10.7.2 from the App Store. It starts downloading but stops after anything from 5 mins to 5 hours! Help!!

If you moved them to your iPad then they will have been removed from your Mac. If they are no longer in the iPad's Videos app following the update then you will need to try contacting iTunes support and see if they will let you re-download them : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
