Can I dump out the data point of a curve in the equalizer?
Hi all,
After using the equalizer, I would like to dump out the data point of the following curve. Is there any method to dump out the data points?

No, there is no way of doing that from any of the filter plugins - they don't calculate like that internally, so there would be no easy mechanism for doing this. Even if you looked at the preset data, you'd only find the setup conditions for each filter band, not the total responses. The only place you can do anything like this is the Frequency Analysis window. Because this does an FFT of the entire waveform, the data is available - hence the 'copy to clipboard' option.

Hi MiMattheMac, you probably won't have any problems but just be aware upgrading from Snow Leopard to anything later is a big leap. Old, PowerPC - only programs won't work, for example, and even more recently developed programs won't work if their developers have not been updating them for recent OS X versions.
If you haven't made a backup of your Mac yet, and you consider the information on it important, please consider doing that. It is the only practicable way to "undo" an OS X upgrade should you want to. Merely having a backup seems to preclude the need to ever use it.
If the information on your Mac is not important to you, upgrading to Mavericks is even easier since you can completely erase the Mac first.
In any event let the download complete.
If this raises any concerns about installing it, and you need to ask questions to alleviate those concerns, you can just close this window when it eventually appears:

Thanks so much for your reply King_Penguin. No, sadly there is not indication of the expected release date on the film, it's no where to be found. I have also tried to look in other places online, but no luck. I guess your latter statement jives more with my situation, that being the studio/rights-holder hasn't feel inclined to provide the date.

Can you add the data information to the data points in a chart
I am trying to add the data information to the data points in a line chart. can this be done?
You can add Value labels to the series to show the numerical value at each data point. The control is in the Series section of the Chart Inspector (see green arrow).
If you are asking about text labels, such as the "Test 1", "Test 2", etc. in column A of the table, You can add these by copy/paste into a text box placed in front of the chart, or use a formula ( =Table 1::A1 ) to transfer the text into a single cell table placed appropriately on the chart.
Using single cell tables will allow automatic updating of the label if the content of the Table 1 cell(s) changes. Neither method will automatically reposition the label if there's a change in the data feed to the chart.

How can I read and display data with OR without recording at the same time?

This forum has been of much help to me, but I have a rather specific question I can't seem to find an answer to. I am new to LabView, educating myself with tutorials, trial and error, and this forum.
Attached is what I have so far. I would like to read data (three voltages) and write it to an excel file. As written below, it will do nothing until I click the "Record" button, when it then takes data, displays it on the gauges and waveform chart, and writes it to a file. What I would like it to do is display the data at all times, and record when I click the record button (while still displaying data being read). I have tried to do this by moving the DAQ Assistant VI, gauges, and waveform graph outside of the loops, but when I do this, it will read until I press record, and then it simply records whatever value it's stuck on. Sorry for the long post, thanks for any help.

Record and Write to File 2.vi 332 KBSorry, I don't have any DAQ installed, so I won't comment on the DAQ parts.
First of all, Your VI will do nothing until you (1) first set the record button to ON and (2) press the start button in the tool bar. It almost seems that you are using the "continuous run" button. (Don't! That's not its purpose. Basically, it automatically restarts the program whenever it finishes). A toplevel VI should never stop during normal operation, so place a big while loop around all code and create a wait state that does nothing until you tell it to acquire.
You don't need the inner while loop, simply place your code inside the big while loop (and accumulate your array data in an initialized shift register if really needed. Currently you do at the inner loop boundary for some reason). You have a big problem that the array can grow without bounds unless you clear the accumulated data once in a while or place it in a FIFO buffer of limited size. If you let ot grow forever like you do now, the program might run out of resources at one point in the future.
Since you are appending to your file, maybe yo don't need any shift register, just use the data points of the current iteration. Place your save operations in a case structure and keep appending the new data to your file only if the case is true.
It is also very inefficient to use highlevel file IO here,because each instance opens and closes the file. I recommend to open the file once outside the loop, then use low level IO to append, and close the file once the big loop is done.

How to delete the Data Points label with a crosstab layout
Hi, just a question.
I created a report which uses a crosstab layout; so...I have the Company Name on the left, Status Code above and the Count(tickets) as Data Points.
As soon as I put the Count(tickets) inside the report, the label "Data Points: Incident Id Count appears above just at the bottom of the Status Code
Is there a way to avoid this tedious label ?
As workaround, I changed the Data Points' format heading (text and background) in such a way to see only a Grey space...but this is not so useful (from the customer side...)
I also looked for inside the crosstab layout properties...but I didn't found nothing.....

AlexWell, I think you are out of luck. You are basically saying you want to control when you have a column heading and when you don't want to have a column heading. Most of us users do want column headings in our reports. In fact I have a hard time trying to figure out why you don't want a column heading. How are the report users going to know what the numbers in the column mean if you don't have a heading on the column? Maybe the initial users of the report know, but what happens when they leave and someone else takes over their duties? I would suggest putting in an enhancement request for Discoverer to give you the option to not display a column heading, if you really want something like this. This needs to be at the workbook level, I am thinking.

How to show data value labels in the charts without moving my mouse on the data point?
Sometimes I need to show a chart with data value labels which is not necessary to move my mouse on the data points. However, it seems Xcelsius does not support this simple feature. Any alternative ways?
Many thanks!Currently, Xcelsius does not support display of labels at data points. It would be difficult to move and update labels on a chart with dynamically updated data. However, a work around for a static chart would be to add a Label component in the desired location. This can be done for multiple static charts by using dynamic visibility.

while browsing the cube data Excel the circle pointer starts to spin and the excel go into a not-responding state,any recommendations to improve performance in excel?
I have 20 measures and 8 dimensions.
while filtering data by using dimensions in excel it is taking so much time.
Ex:
I browsed 15 measures in excel and filtered data based on time(quarter wise) and other dimesion product. It is taking long time to get data.

i am receiving the data through the rs232 in labview and i have to store the data in to the word or text file only if there is a change in the data. I have to scan the data continuasly. how can i do that. I was able to store the data into the text or word file but could not be able to do it. I am gettting the data from rs232 interms of 0 or 1. and i have to print it only if thereis a change in data from 0 to 1. if i use if-loop , each as much time there is 0 or 1 is there that much time the data gets printed. i dont know how to do this program please help me if anybody knows the answer
I have attatched the vi. Here in this it receives the data from rs232 as string and converted into binery. and indicated in led also normally if the data 1 comes then the led's will be off. suppose if 0 comes the corresponding data status is wrtten into the text file. But here the problem is the same data will be printed many number of times. so i have to make it like if there is a transition from 1 to o then only print it once. how to do it. I am doing this from few weeks please reply if you know the answer immediatly

How do I use GarageBand as a amp/speaker to listen to my Electronic Drum set? I have a MIDI-USB cord already but I can't figure out how to listen to my set through the software using my computer speakers?
If you want to listen to the sounds of your drum set, you should use an audio cable and connect it to the computer's line-in, then create a real instrument track.
If you use a Midi/USB interface, you'll have to create a software instrument track and select one of GB's drumsets as the instrument. Hopefully your drumset's midi notes are mapped to the right sounds in GB. -
