Can I easily reinstall Shapes, Brushes etc. ...?
Hello: OS: Windows 7 Home 64bit
I just had the Beta version of PS uninstalled and the release version installed. The shapes, brushes etc. that I installed aren't listed any more.
Is there a quick and easy way to get them back?
I thought I could just go to presets and load them again but that didn't work.
As always, I looked through the faq's but didn't find an answer.
Or if someone could just explain how I am suppose to go about loading new shapes that would be great.
I have dragged and dropped the downloaded file to presets > custom shapes and then gone to PS to "Load" but it's not working

this is what I tried...
In the Download Manager I right clicked to "Open Containing Folder"
Then I went to Start > Computer > OS: > Program Files (x86) > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS6 > Presets > Custom Shapes >
dragged the file over to the Custom Shapes >
Opened PS > Custom Shapes > Load Shapes .... but nothing

Yes. Make sure you use the same Apple ID.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
If you can't re dowload the apps, launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer. Sign out of the iTunes store and try re downloading your apps from the App Store again. -
In Adobe Flash CS6, I have a blue box appearing around lines drawn with the line tool (and other tools like brush etc). Whenever I try to use a tool, a blue box appears around the line and I have to double click it to manipulate it, which opens just that line in a semi burred screen where all the other objects are semi-grey in the background. I can manipulate this line in this screen but nothing else at that time which I could do about 5 minutes ago. For exampe, I no longer can join up 2 lines drawn by the line tool together. For some reason this started randomly (probably due to a accidental shortcut combination) and I just can't put it back to what it used to be. I have inserted a video hopefully showing what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.

How can I write a text (paragraph, etc.) within a shape?
I know that this should be an easy one, but I have not been able to figure it out. I tried searching the online manual but I have not been able to succeed. I need to write several paragraphs within different shapes (circle, etc.), even personalized shapes. Can any body help? Thanks.
You can do type inside a path and also type along a path.
(sometimes finding stuff in help manual can be tricky cause
it's not always where you expect to find it)
If you use the help application from within photoshop (Help>Photoshop Help)
you can use the search to find stuff.

i'm retiring my old computer (with windows xp) and bought a new computer (with windows 7). How can i easily move my itunes music from the old computer to the new computer? i have my playlists organized in my old computer, i would like it to stay that way in my new computer. I also have my ipods, iphone sync'd in the old computer so i want to make sure that things won't get messed up (my apps, playlists, etc) when i move over everything to the new computer and sync all my devices with the new computer.

Install itunes on the new W7 PC.
Get these folders from the XP machine

And put them here on the W7 machine

How can i easily get 64-bit on my computer?
So i have windows vista home premium 32-bit on my pc at the moment, and i'm trying to upgrade to a 64-bit operating system and everywhere i look i'm getting contradicting information about what i can do. i want to know if i can use the same key i have
right now to upgrade with a 64-bit disk of vista or if not which version of windows 7 do i need to get and can i just purchase it online. any help to clear it up would be appreciated.Cat
That is why I said the traditional sense. Usually upgrade means keep everything you have (and dont have to reinstall the apps, etc) a clean install means you have to reinstall most things (you can use windows easy transfer wizard)
You might want to think about whether the change from 32>>64 will matter significantly. If you dont have 4 gigs of ram or more

In Aperture 3, how can I easily move entire projects out of my main Ap Library into other libraries? My Ap library is running super slow because it's overloaded, so I have created two new libraries, but can't seem to move the projects into them?

To move entire projects export them as Aperture Libraries, and then import those Libraries into the other Aperture Library:
Select the Project in the Inspector, then
File -> Export -> Project as Library
In the other Library do:
File -> Import -> Library/ Project
But I am not quite convinced, that the size of your current Aperture Library is responsible for the slowness of Aperture - Aperture is designed to cope with huge libraries.
You may want to post your hardware setup and details of your library, and some of the hardware experts here may help you to find the reason for the slowness.
A huge library should only be a problem, if the projects are too big, and if you have many, many smart albums at the root level of your library.
So keep the projects small, and try to move some of your smart albums to lower levels in your folder structure (then Aperture does not need to scan all of your images to build the smart album).
Other reasons for Aperture's slowness may be, e.g.
An overfull system drive and/or external drive (keep at least 20% of your drives empty)
lack of RAM
a corrupted Aperture Library, that needs repairing
Have you checked those options, before you split your library? It would be a pity to split it, for you would loose the ability to browse all parts at the same time, to use all your images in the Media Browser, etc.

Hello, If you are dealing with one of the really thin iMac's that have no superdrive, then the superdrive icon should not appear on the desktop when you plug it in, but when you put in a disk (CD, DVD, etc.) that should appear. If you go into disk utility, and look at superdrive, that should be clickable and not grayed out when you have it plugged in. If this does not show up in disk utility, go to Apple, and ask to speak to their supervisor, speaking to a customer service agent is like talking to a potato, nothing gets done. Good Luck!

Thanks for the response but I know how to do a screen capture but wanted to be able to capture myself interacting with the ipad ansd turn into a movie i.e. showing all the movement / animation etc as I interact.
I have now figured out a good solution. Using AirServer you can wirelessly connect you ipad to your mac/pc then using a video capture solution like Snapz Pro you can capture what you are doing to create the video.

What does "can't easily send SMS" mean? What problems are you having with SMS? Without details, no one could possibly give you a reason or solutions.
Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? -
I have 2 iCloud accounts. 3 devices use one of them as a primary account; my iPhone uses the other as a primary account so I can't stream photos from iPhone etc. What to do?
Sorry, yes indeed you can do that, I thought you wanted to keep the accounts the way they are now and also share photo stream between all devices, which of course is not possible.
In order to login to the account you are currently logged in to as a secondary account, as a primary account, and vice versa, you will need to delete both accounts from that device and then log back into them with the correct account as a primary (settings > iCloud) and the correct account as a secondary (settings > mail, contacts, calendars). -
