Can I edit a form after it has been submitted?

For example:
I have a Purchase Request form that is filled out by the person requesting the purchase and after submission, our financial advisor has to fill in additional data in the same form.

The form is created in Acrobat X Pro. I uploaded it to FormsCentral and distributed it that way.
When you click "submit" it goes back to FormsCentral.
What I'm hoping to accomplish is that someone can fill out the form with the appropriate information, submit it, and then after approval a second individual can go in and add additional information to the form.

Editing a form after it has been protected

I'm creating forms using acrobat and I distribute them manually to reader user's by activating reader extended features. Before doing that, I'm asked to protect the document with a password. Where do I input that password to turn my form back to editing mode supposed the user finds a bug I need to correct?

It is better to always retain unsecured and non-enabled versions. So when you apply security restrictions and Reader-enable, do not overwrite the original.
If you haven't done this and need to create a non-secured version of a form that also Reader-enabled, for save a non-enabled version by opening the document in Acrobat and select: File > Save a Copy
This will create a non-enabled but secured version. Next, open the copy you just saved (it doesn't happen automatically) and select: File > Properties > Security > Security Method > No Security
and you will be prompted to enter the password.. Save this unsecured version to a new file so you don't overwrite any others.

Is is possible to edit a form once it has been submitted?

I really like forms but would like respondents to be be able to refer back to what they answered and possibily add to it but I cannot see an option that would let them do that. It seems that once the form is submitted, the respondent lose access to it?

The respondant cannot refer back to their response and/or add to it once submitted. This is not something we currently support but you can add or vote on feature ideas:

Can't Edit a form after converting it to reader extended

I am struggling with an issue when creating a form. I create the form in Word, convert and edit in Acrobat Pro, then save a version as "reader extended" so that our users can fill it out. However, there were some errors in the form after I saved it as "reader extended". I tried to save a copy but it says I can't "edit form"...What do I do?

so i have a pdf file I'm working on as "test.pdf" I save a version as "test_fill_in.pdf" with reader extended and then distributed.
I was advised some of the form functions and fields were not correct so I needed to edit the test_fill_in.pdf.
To edit I did the following:
Opened the "test_fill_in.pdf" in acrobat
Save a copy as "test_fill_in_1.pdf"
Received "You cannot edit this file as a form" message
what am i doing wrong?

Maybe this question has been found already, but I have yet to find the answer. How can I restore my bookmarks after it has been deleted from my 'bookmarkbackups' folder?

So it has been a couple months now since I last cleaned up my bookmarks toolbar. And I could remember a couple of bookmarks tabs I wish I did not delete. I found some articles saying I could try restoring previous versions of my bookmarks from the dates of recent system restore points. But the earliest date I found was of only last week's. I've checked everywhere in my Firefox profile for anything that I could restore to date back into that time, but they too only tracked back as early as last week. I believe the automatic backups Firefox had made during that time has now long been deleted from the system in order to make room for my most current ones. How am I going to be able to retrieve those bookmarks when their aren't any backups available now to restore from?

If you do not have backups of your bookmarks, either in the bookmarkbackups folder or saved elsewhere, then you can't restore your bookmarks.

How do I insert additional text into a form after it has been created? - Acrobat Pro XI

I am trying to add additional text and fields into the middle of a form I have previously created. I can copy and paste the information in there but it does not shift the lines below it down. Is there any easy way to accomplish this without having to recreate the entire form?
I appreciate any help I can get.

If you need to make such changes to the layout of the form, you should go back to the source document, edit it, and generate a new PDF. You can then replace the pages of the old document with the new pages. Any fields that you've already added will be retained and can be move to their new positions and you can add any new ones you need.

I suggest you to send an email to itune sstore support. They can review your account and find out why it had been disabled.

How can I edit a form that has "Extend Features in Adobe Reader"?

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and added Extend Features in Adobe Reader. I need to edit the form, but "Save a Copy" isn't removing the "Extend Features...". I get an error message that I can't edit the form & to "save a copy" in order to edit. What can I do?

When I saw the responses, I pulled out an old version and started over. I already deleted the one that wouldn't revert from extended functions and the copy I created to edit it based on removing extended functions with "save a copy". Thanks anyway. I'd love to know why it wouldn't remove extended functions.

I have asked for your email address to be edited out. Posting your address in an open thread is a sure way to be bombarded by unwanted email, remember it will be here long after you have resolved your problem, for automated detection software to find.
If you want people to contact you, enable others to see your email address in your profile.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

If the laptop is still connected Launch Elements in Expert Mode. Go to the help menu and sign-out. That will deactivate usage on the laptop.

If the form was created using LCD then it can only be edited there. This
application used to be bundled with Acrobat Pro, but that's no longer the
case. So if you want to edit this file then you need to purchase it, yes.

Can a form that has been submitted be returned to person who submitted it to request further information or maybe to request completeion of additional sections that may have been overlooked?

No, a response record will be created for each submission. If you need them to complete more fields, you may have to ask them to fill out the form and submit again. The new submission is a new record.
