HELP!!!! I have spent hours trying to find out how to embed an image with a link, or embed a Microsoft Word document with a hyperlink built within the document -- not as an attachment into my email -- but where it shows as the email content when opened! Does ANYONE know the secret? Can it be done, or not? My PC clients do it all the time easily. Then I want to be able to send the embedded image/document (not as an attachment, but visable within the email when opened) to many email contacts at once, BUT the individuals receiveing them DO NOT SEE the other email contacts. Cannot seem to be able to find anything on being able to do these 2 tasks.PLEASE, SOMEONE, HELP!!!

  • Can I embed links to products for sale in iBook?

When I publish an iBook, can I embed links to related products for sale on my website?

If it's just an odd picture you are doing you can use File - File Info
You can also create a template in Bridge, this could also be applied via File-File Info in Photoshop, manually or you could create an action to do it.

  • Can I embed a link in my popcorn maker show? I'd like to include a game created online in the storyline or at the end.

My students are remixing the web to create a transmedia story. To incorporate the interactive element they created games on another site and we would LOVE to add them to the story line or the end somehow. Is there not a way to embed the link? I thought it would work the same as embedding a tutorial - same concept - including a link…? Help.

Okay, so I can't embed it…I want to be sure I'm including the URL in the most effective way, Do I just put the URL in a text box as I would any text or is there another way to put the URL in? Also can I make the link hot so the reader can just click it?

  • Can I embed images rather then link them?

I'm just wondering please if I could embed my images into a muse website rather then link them?
I know with linked images that one has to have all their material organised in a folder.  I've just migrated to Adobe Muse from another website building application, and though I know one can embed images with Adobe InDesign, can the same be done with Adobe Muse?
Embedding images would make life much easier.

I just checked it, and that's just to add HTML.  It just brings up a box where HTML can be manually inserted.
I'm wanting to embed the images, rather then link them, so all the images text and etc is one file, and I don't have to worry about maintaining a folder of images.
Admitfully a little lazy I know, but rather more of a querie.  If it can't be done, then looks like I'll have to hunt all over my computer hard-drive, and bring all the images together in one folder.

    Hi cyberjames,
Do you get an error message when you try to export your file? Or, are you continually asked to subscribe when you try to convert a link? If it's the latter, it could be that you just haven't signed in to the app yet. Try this:
From the ExportPDF website, click Sign in at the upper-right corner, and log in to the service with your Adobe ID credentials. Now, when you click ExportPDF, you'll be prompted to select PDF files to export, instead of being asked to subscribe.
If you're receiving an error message when you try to log in, let us know what it is, and we can go from there.
    Best,
    Sara

  • When I call an external program from Labview, how can I embed the interface into the front panel?

I'm running Labiew 6i for Linux. I'm using a system exec.vi to call an external program to do image manipulation (since there is no IMAQ for linux). How can I embed the user interface of the external program into the front panel of Labview?

As far as I know, the only way to embed other GUIs in LabView is an ActiveX in a container.
As long as you are using Linux, try to place (moving them on the desktop ) the two windows linked (like those 3 of WinAmp).

  • Can I embed 3D PDFs in an InDesign document?

"Can I embed 3D PDFs in an InDesign document and the export the document as a PDF with the 3D surviving the process?"

3D PDFs are quite rare, and I've never actually viewed one, even though I work with PDFs all the time.
However, I'm certain that InDesign has no concept of 3D artwork. Most images are not embedded but are linked.
For these reasons, I think it would impossible for you to place it and export it, preserving the 3D.

  • Performance issue when opening DOCX Word Doc with Excel Links

Is this a bug or is there a config setting that can prevent Word from needlessly opening Excel repeatedly (upon initial open of a DOCX Word doc) when pre-existing links should NOT be updated. The behavior is good using 2003 formats (DOC & XLS),
but varies significantly (~100:1 range in performance) depending on the test scenario (see below) using DOCX with XLSX.
We can't move our environment to the new XML formats until we can find a fix. We were led to believe Microsoft knew this to be a bug in Office 2007, but it has NOT been corrected in Office 2010. Omitting a detailed explanation for why we need to
do this, here's our test scenarios:
-Currently testing Office 2010 Pro Trial version on WIN XP SP3. (We have found similar results using Office 2007 with Win7 or XP).
-Word Option Deselected/DISABLED: "Update Automatic Links at Open"
-The Word Doc contains 100 linked Excel tables and is 130K in size (DOCX).
-Each link points to the same 10x10 cell range in one Excel Workbook located in same directory as the Word Doc, although other tests using separate directories produced similar results.
-The Excel Links were inserted into Word via Paste Special/Paste Link/MS Excel Worksheet Object.
-The workbook (XLSX) is 15K in size.
-All Links are set for "Manual" update, our testing showed no difference if links are set to "Auto".
-Again, Word is set to NOT update Automatic links when the document is opened.
-Results shown below are for local hard drive test.
-Network response times are slightly greater on 100mb LAN
-Word is completely restarted prior to each test to make sure there's no application caching involved.
LOCAL DRIVE RESPONSE TIMES TO OPEN THE WORD DOC in Docx format:
    1. Open the Word Doc from Word with Excel closed - 175 seconds (Excel appears to be opened and closed once per link)
    2. Open the Word Doc from Word with Excel open & workbook closed - 33 seconds (Excel appears to be accessed once per link)
    3. Open the Word Doc from Word with the linked workbook already open - 7 seconds (Excel appears to be accessed once per link)
    4. Rename Excel XLSX workbook so that Word can't find it. Then open Doc the from Word. 1-2 seconds (Excel does not appear to be invoked)
    5. Repeat ALL of the above scenarios 1-4 using DOC and XLS files. These files are created with "Save AS" option based on original test files and then re-pasting the links.  1-2 seconds to open the Word Doc (Excel does not appear to be invoked)
    Summary
Using DOCX/XLSX, if Word can't find the linked spreadsheet it gives up and performs nicely during file-open. Otherwise, Word performs needless, time-consuming access to Excel, and in the worst case, opens and closes Excel repeatedly in the background.
Testing with DOC/XLS formats gives good performance across all scenarios.

It is a known bug and one for which AFAIK, there has been no fix.  The only way that I could get around it in a particular application was to do something like save the linked information as document variables and then on opening the document recreate
all the information.  My memory on exactly what I did is a bit hazy, but I can go back and check if you are interested.

  • Can you embed a PDF into a Captivate 8 project?

    Hi,
Can you embed a PDF document into a captivate project?
I know i shouldnt compare, but in Articulate Story Line, you are able to add 'resourses' into the project which sit alongside the eLearning to provide further reading.
Can you do this in Captivate? but without it linking to an external sourse such as local or shared drive?
    Thanks
    Chris

    To tmpe222,
I'm not a Cp expert, but it seems to me that there's no sense in simply trying to stick a pdf document in the Scorm package. What good would that do? The file would be in the package, but that doesn't mean it would be 'embedded in the project' in any meaningful sense of the term.
I don't know of any way to embed a pdf document directly into a Cp project. But couldn't you simply convert the pdf file into an image (jpeg or gif)? This you could easily insert in your project. It would be inserted as a standard object. And then you could do all the nice things that you can do with any object: put it on slide to be accessed only if the participant wants to view it; use effects so that it enters nicely; add annotation . . . the sky's the limit.
Does this help at all, or am I on the wrong track?
    Best regards,

  • Embed the picture instead of Linking in Mail forms

    Hi Gurus,
In mail forms, ( ICMANAGER -> Knowledge Management -> Mail forms ) , we are trying to insert the picture and loading the picture from the local PC
A link is created in the HTML source, we would like to embed the picture instead of linking it.
    Please suggest
    Thanks
    Rakesh

    Hi Rakesh,
Thanks for the explanation. I don't know - how to create the URL after running the report -RSXFT_MIGRATE_BDS_GRAPHICS in SE38. I tried your URL by adding the SAP CRM server FQDN still it did not worked. I experimented the following with the sucess:
    1. goto google and search for any picture
    2. copy that URL into the source code (html) of Email Form
    3. test it (it worked for me - I can see the URL picture in Email Form)
Now I request our web designer to provide me the logo url to add. Please note that the picture with any extension will work from URL (eg: .gif or .jpg or .bmp or .tif etc.,) Hope it will work
Once again thank you very much for your assistance..
    Cheers,
