Can I exchange a multi app with a single app?
Is it possible to update/replace a multi-folio app with a single-app version ?
the key to sharing apps is that they all have to be on the same Apple ID. So if you have the same Apple ID on all the devices, they can share apps.
You may want to research into messages, etc because that can be one of the pitfalls of sharing the ID's.

so there must be an exchange offer for the ipad-3 to ipad 4In the UK the iPad 3rd Gen was sold as 4G when it couldn't actually work with any planned 4G network. The 4th gen now has the ability to work with EE's network in the UK, so I'd expect an exchange programme in the UK because of the law which says that a product must work as advertised, and the fact it's 6 months on and Apple have correct the 4G issue shows they knew it was a problem.

Hi this is my first time posting. I got my AppleTV in the mail using my dad's points he racked up this last year. He owns a company that buys supplies from another company so we end up getting a lot of points fast. We ordered our AppleTV in mid-January and we got it about 2 weeks ago (Not sure have to check that). I was wondering can I exchange it in the Apple Store when the 3rd gen come out?

Can Adobe's free extensions and add-ons be downloaded with a single Adobe ID and applied to a classroom of computers? Specifically a situation where a computer technician has a request from a teacher for a particular free extension (such as Kuler) which the technician then downloads with his or her Adobe ID and installs on all computers in a classroom.

This question is difficult to answer because it depends how the classroom of computers were set up from a licensing perspective but in talking to some fellow Adobe colleagues we do think this is technically feasible. I do not have a classroom of computers to test this with to hand and even if I did it could be different to your environment so I would love for you to try it out and give it a go. Here's how I think this could work:
Sign in to the Creative Cloud for desktops app with the Adobe ID you want to use. It should automatically sync and install your free extensions, if not you can force a reinstall here:
http://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons
Then repeat the process for each machine. If this does not work you can just download the extension and install it using Adobe Extension Manager CC on each machine, it's a little more work but that method will definitely work.

Why can't I scroll / Multi-touch with my new Magic Mouse?
I just got my first magic mouse and paired it with my 2008 model white macbook. It works as a mouse, but none of the multi-touch functionality is working. Here's the details
- I updated to lion recently, and i want to take advantage of the gesture technology. but my macbook is *PRE MULTI-TOUCH* so the track pad does none of those cool tricks. I thought that using the magic mouse I could use all those nifty features....
- I read on another forum that people were having trouble with USB OverdriveX, which I've used for a while. I removed the software with AppCleaner, which is supposed to clean out the plists and everything, and I restarted, but nothing's changed.
- I downloaded MagicPrefs, and although it shows me the magic mouse details screen, messing with the settings doesn't change anything, i still can't even scroll. Also i set the menu icon to show me the remaining battery life of my device, and instead of that it is grayed out. Does this mean it doesn't recognize my mouse?
- Finally, and this is what's most frustrating me: Everywhere I look I see the magic mouse preferance pane and it looks NOTHING like mine. I don't have a 'magic mouse' preference pane in my system preferences, and when i click on 'mouse' all i get is this:
I haven't come across anyone else with this problem, and I get the feeling that this might once again be a failure of my aging machine. But every other element of mac software is running, and the mouse recognizes movement, left click, and right click. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!I can't be sure it hasn't gotten mucked up with all those other steps you took, but here's what I know.
The Magic Mouse has some gestures, yes, but not all those found in a multi-touch trackpad. You can get a Magic Trackpad for that if you really want it all to work just the same.
However, to fix your issue, try uninstalling third-party mouse drivers (such as Logitech or Microsoft), USB Overdrive, BetterTouchTool, Jitouch, and/or drivers for other input-managing devices. Not getting the Magic Mouse preferences is usually the result of some third-party driver getting in the way. AppCleaner is a good way to do this, but you might want to search google for instructions specific to whatever drivers you may have installed and now want to remove.
Once you think you've got them all cleaned out, open bluetooth preferences and remove your Magic Mouse. Now re-add it and see if you get the Magic Mouse preferences screens that you've been seeing online.
Hopefully this has fixed it.
If so, I will add that I have greatly expanded my Magic Mouse capabilities with Better Touch Tool and never had the kinds of issues you're having now. If you do get the Magic Mouse set up correctly, do not fear to install Better Touch Tool after the fact. I know from experience it will not cause such havoc! -
Can you exchange a wrong app that was purchased?
in the app store there were two similar apps. One was a single volume of a reference set and the other was the complete set. I mistakenly purchased the single volume of which I would like to exchange for refund and purchase complete set. Is this possible?
Log into the iTunes Store on your computer and from the Store menu select View my Apple ID. From this screen you'll see the option to view your purchase history. Select that. Find your purchase in the list of most recent purchases and click on report a problem and explain what happened.
You can't make a habit of doing this but twice in 2 years I've made similar mistakes and had the purchases refunded. -

Apple has a Reuse and Recycle program: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/reuse_and_recycle but you do not get an even exchange. Sell it and use the proceeds to buy a new iPhone instead.

How can I open multiple email messages with a single click?
On the Mac mini I use at work, I can select several email messages at a time and open them all up by double-clicking the mouse pointer on any of the selected messages. My MacBook Pro at home seems to lack that functionality, even though both are running the same version of Yosemite. In order to open up multiple messages (each, in its own window) on my MacBook Pro, I need to double-click on each individual message, even though I have multiple messages selected on my MacBook Pro, using Yosemite's Mail app. I assume there is an optional setting that can enable multiple messages to be opened by double-clicking on a single selected message, but I have looked through the Mail app's preferences and I come up empty handed. Can someone please clue me in on how to get this functionality on my MacBook Pro?

How can I retain quality of mp3 with a single slide that lasts 30 mins?
hi. this may sound like a silly question but.. i am learning a language and have some language mp3 files. each 30 minutes long. i want to listen to them on my mobile phone.but the phone automatically shuts down the screen after so many seconds. so if i want to stop and start my language recording i have to look at the screen and then press once if it has not gone to sleep or twice if it has. i want to just press it in my pocket once for stop and then once again for start. the only way to do this is to convert my mp3 files to videos!!!! because then the screen does not sleep. i want to use a plain black slide as my picture. add the 30 minutes of sound and export as a VIDEO. i want to retain the (good) quality of the mp3. however this seems difficult. i end up with large files which are not so good on sound quality. i am not good at using iphoto. any suggestions or help would be most welcome. thank you. robert
