if i brought a ipone5s, can i exchange for an iphone 6 when it comes out? how much do i need to pay for it then?

I Bought the iPhone 5s just two weeks ago at the Apple shop in Gateshead ... I particularly asked if there would be a reduction in price for the 5s, when the iPhone 6 came out and was told definatly NO !!!! Checking Apple website today I find the 6 is actually cheaper than than what I paid for the iPhone 5s , and that the iPhone 5s now has a huge reduction !!! i am disgusted at this ...the information I received was not correct and I could have waited 2 weeks and bought the new one, or the 5s at a reduced price ..... I will be contacting Apple head office .... If I can find an e mail link for them or a telephone number (UK)

If the phone you're getting isn't the phone that you want...and you want to try to avoid a restocking fee...just refuse the delivery. Don't accept it and try to go the store to have it done...especially if VZW got it right and you're just wanting a different color out of preference. Be advised that refusing the accept delivery of the phone will cause it to go back to VZW which you have to factor in time to ship it back, time for the warehouse to receive it, and time for it to be credited back to your sister. All of this can be a long and tedious process. Also be advised that if you do try this approach that calling, complaining, and ranting about the slow return process will not yield you any faster results. No VZW rep online, in a store, on the phone, or via chat will be able to do anything to speed up the return process...it'll happen when it happens. So...with that being said, is having a different color really worth it to you? Armed with the knowledge you've gained here about the process, at least you can now make an informed decision. Besides, most people cover the back of their device with some fancy or cute cover to protect their device so the back color is rarely seen. Best of luck to you...

Where Can I Exchange My Iphone?

This is a walmart purchase. I called to see if I could exchange it at walmart. I was told yes but they have limited quantity and I have to return this phone by monday. So my question is, if my local walmart/s don't have any iphones in stock, can I return my iphone to an apple store, or directly to apple via shipping for a straight exchange? (same color and amt. of memory).
I can't take care of the exchange until sunday, so the walmarts locally may not have stock.
I have had cosmetic issues with the phone very early on with a black iphone, and am going to ask if I can exchange it for a white iphone 5.
If anyone has been able to exchange at an apple store or directly through apple's HQ, let me know. This is my first iphone purchase and it seems like store policies on returns and exchanges vary from vendor to vendor.

Apple provides all hardware support in the US.
Take the device to Apple if you believe a hardware issue exists.
Exchange is for same model, color, and capacity.
If you want a different color or capacity then you must go back to the place of purchase and return and repurchase or exchange per their policies.

Can I exchange my 2.4 for a 2.8?

I bought a 24" 2.4GHz iMac last week from my local apple store. I originally wanted the 2.8GHz, but the $500 difference was more than I wanted to shell out. I just found out that I could've updated the chip alone for only $250.
Can I exchange my 2.4GHz model for the 2.8GHz model at the store, or will I be slapped with the $170 restocking fee on returns? Since I'm not simply returning for a refund, could it be waived?
I'll end up having to spend $420 if I get slapped with the restocking fee, which means I could've paid the inital $500 and got the 2.8GHz, along with the extra RAM and HD space that's included.
Reason I'm asking here is because my local store is closed until Saturday, so I'm just trying to get an idea before I go in there tomorrow.
Let me know if any of you guys have been through this same situation regarding the restocking fee.

The 2.8 GHz is not a standard configuration, so the store shouldn't have any to give you (they'd have to order it). And if they do have a 2.8 GHz to sell, it'll probably be the 2.8 with extra RAM and disk space (they wouldn't have any custom-configured 2.8 GHZ w/1 GB of RAM and 320 GB hard disk). So:
1) you'll have to wait until you can get the 2.8 GHz model after returning your 2.4;
2) since your configuration isn't available in stock, I doubt they'll simply let you exchange the 2.4 for a 2.8, so you'll probably have to return yours, pay the re-stocking fee and order a built-to-order 2.8 GHz with the configuration you want.
Of course, you should ask your store to get a definitive/official answer.
Edit: Of course, since I don't live in the US, all I can do is give you an idea/prediction of what your Apple Store (it's an Apple retail store, right?) will/can do, based on what I've read here…

No; here are several reasons why;
The return/exchange policy is only available for a limited time. That time period is 14 days for a "Device Only" purchance and 30 days if the device is contracted to a carrier. In the latter case, exchange is the only option available.
The iPhone 5 was discontinued in September 2013 and there are no such devices available for a retail exchange.
If you are requesting a service replacement, you will leave the Genius Bar with the same model/color/configuration that you brought in.
When you want something different that the item you have, you should be prepared to purchase a new item.
