Can I exchange my older version iPod for a newer one?

I have an iPod touch 3rd Gen, 8GB.
It's really not that old but it seems that every time I sync it to my computer I'm being told that less and less apps are applicable with my iPod. Over time I know that my iPod is probably going to be obselete which upsets me because I've fallen in love with it. I'm also running out of space on my iPod so I figure it's time to upgrade anyway and was wondering if Apple had any sort of program where they let you send in your old iPod and maybe lessen the price of a new one or something of the sort.
I also have an old iPod nano that has some water damage and everywhere I went to trade it in, it was worth nothing. I can live with that fact, but if I trade that in or something that would be nice. If not, it would just be ideal to have a working iPod.

You can bring your current iPod into be recycled at your local Apple store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one.

Since the iPod Touch is still functional, you might be able to sell it on eBay or similar for a bit more cash that you could use towards the purchase of a new one.

I picked up the game Bloodborne today at Best buy store today. After tearing off the shrink wrap and opening the case I found out there was a huge dent on front of the case. It's like the case has been squashed by something severely. I went to customer service and let them see my game. They said they could change it but I had to check back a couple of days later because they had sold out all copies of that game.
One thing I forgot ask is if I can get a brand new copy when it's available if I hand in my opened copy with defect, or I can only get an old copy traded in by someone.

Yep, that's the only message that popped out. Nothing else. Yes, it's running on the latest ios and I still can't restore it. I called apple and they told me it's probably something wrong with their servers. Anyway thanks for the advice.

Can you swap out the logicboard of an older model mac for a newer one?

So i just bought a mac on ebay, its in good working condition, however i was wondering if i was able to swap out an older model logicboard for a new one. Can I import the configuration file from an older Airport base station into a newer replacement Airport base station? It would seem this would save me a lot of extra work. First, it would hopefully save time by automatically configuring the new base station without me having to fiddle with the settings. Second, it might hopefully save some more time if I would not have to re-enter the network parameters for all the devices currrently connected to my Airport (wi-fi) network.

I relaced an older AEBS with the new one, recently, and did not need to import anything, but if you can save the configuration file from your old one, then you can import it to the new one. I've never tried that when I switched, and it didn't seem to matter which suggests the configuration file may be on disk somewhere.

It just hit me the other day (when my New Mac was on its way) that it would ship with Yosemite and of course ONLY the newest versions of iWorks. This machine is for a person in our business office and she should not have a different version of Pages and Numbers than everyone else in the company. (we upgrade those apps all together so exchanged files can be opened by everyone). I understand the Migration Assistant will only keep the newer versions when Applications is selected in the process and the App Store will not let me get the older version. This machine must have the older (Mavericks) versions of those applications so I'm considering partitioning and installing Mavericks even though it would bork my support. Is there any other way to install those versions on Yosemite? Thanks!
