CAN I EXPORT SONGS, THAT WERE NOT PURCHASED FROM I-TUNES, FROM MY I-POD TO MY I-TUNES LIBRARY?

IS THERE A WAY THAT I CAN TRANSFER MY MUSIC FROM MY I-POD TO MY NEW I-TUNES LIBRARY? I WANT TO TRANSFER MY SONGS THAT I HAD BURNED FROM CDS, NOT JUST MUSIC PURCHASED FROM I-TUNES.

  • Is there any way to get songs that were not purchased on itunes on to my new computer without deleting them?

My family recently got a new  Gateway windows 7 computer, because our old one crashed. I had to reinstall itunes, and now have absolutely no music on the computer. When I plug my ipod touch into the computer it gives me like two choices it asks if I want to sync just the songs purchased on itunes, or erase everything on my ipod and sync with my itunes library on the computer which I'm pretty sure is nothing. I would rather not have to go through the hassel of getting all the songs not purchased on itunes back onto my ipod because they are basically all from cd's. So is there anyway that I can get all the songs from my ipod back onto my computer? I don't know what to do and am on the verge of tears PLEASE HELP!!!!

    - Transfer iTune purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program such as one of thos discussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
If you are in the USA, you can redownload mos tiTunes purchases viua iCloud beta by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

You can only transfer music from itunes to your devices and not the other way round.

I PURCHASED A NEW PHONE LAST WEEK BUT NOT ABLE TO SINC SONGS WHICH WERE NOT PURCHASED FROM I TUNE- HELP

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
    As IO said before:
You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

  • In I06, I have no way of knowing which songs are on my iphone 4s vs being stored in the cloud. There used to be a small cloud next to songs that were not downloaded. This was important to make sure I had the music I wanted when in an airplane.

In the new i06 that I just loaded into my 4s, I have no way of knowing which songs are on my iphone vs stored in the cloud. There used to be a small cloud next to songs that were not on the phone. This is an important piece of information if you are a frequent traveller, as most of the flights I am on don't have onboard wifi, so it becomes a crap shoot as to what I will have available to listen to.
Is there a way I can view what songs are actually stored locally?

Go to Settings > Music and set "show all music" to OFF.

You can restore them from your backup - if you havn't got a backup then you'll need to re-purchase them. Media (music, films, tv shows) can only be downloaded from iTunes once, which is why you are advised to make and maintain backup(s) of your purchased (and any other important) content.

Thanks for your quick response. I thought I had tried that but I must not have because it worked perfectly.

  • Why won't some of my songs, that used to sync, sync to my iPhone 5 now? There is an empty circle appearing to the left of the check marks for each of the songs that were not successfully synced.

Why won't some of my songs, that used to sync, sync to my iPhone5 now? There is an empty circle appearing to the left of the check mark in iTunes for the songs that are not properly syncing.

I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. I tried several more tests with the audio, and that turned out not to be a factor -- I could not replicate that on another test.
I wonder if something in the header of these files is corrupted or a flag is set incorrectly or something along those lines, as the data appears to be fine -- it's just not "handshaking" with my streaming hardware and/or the Apple Home Sharing code that powers it.
Is there any way for me to "scrub" these files and amend their headers, or get into the file and tinker with that info by hand?

  • HT1459 How can I download songs that I have purchased onto a new ipod?

I have lost the ipod that I have loaded songs on, I have a new ipod and was wanting yo know how to download the songs that I have already purchased onto it.

Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. You can see what content you can download here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085
Then you can sync the tracks to your new iPod. For more information on re-downloading, see:

  • HT204406 Upload of songs that were not matched fails, iTunes crashes.

On restart, asks to logout then log back in to iTunes store.  Problem does not clear up and repeats.

iTunes Match is not working correctly.   When I go to play one song(example...Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone does not play, but Miss Independent does. )
This is a known issue and at this time there is no fix. The workaround is to disable iTM on the iOS device and sync the mismatched songs via USB/Thunderbolt then re-enable iTM. This way you will be assured of having the "correct" version of the track on your device.

There are a number of other songs that I have had in ITunes that are not matched...they are completely missing from my inventory.
I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean you have music stored on your iPod Classic that is not also in your iTunes library? If that is the case, then of course those songs won't be matched or uploaded. A song must be in your iTunes library for it to be processed by the iTunes Match service.

  • When I "deathorize all" computers and re-authorize my current pc so that I can use it for iTunes, will I lose any of my music, especially those that were not purchased through iTunes directly?  I am afraid to that I will lose non-purchased songs.

Will I lose any of my non-purchased music that I imported from CD's when I "deauthorize all" computers and "re-authorize" my current pc?  I am fearful that I will lose several songs from my library when I do this.

No. Deauthorizing only removes the computer from the list of computers that you can use to view or purchase new music under your iTunes sign-on.

  • HT204053 if i synch iPOD to iCLOUD and have songs stored in iPOD that were not purchased from iTUNES i assume a synch to the cloud will erase my non iTUNES songs? i tried this last year & this happened already & forced me to reload many songs. any solutio

i have music purchased on my computer that is from rhapsody & napster in addition to what i bought from iTUNES. if i synch to the cloud i assume i will lose my other non iTUNES music if i synch my iPOD and computer to iCLOUD? this already happened to me last year and forced me to reload from CDs my other non iTUNES songs back into my computer! anyone know a way around this dilemma? my computer now has almost 900 songs & i fear if i synch my iPOD to my computer and synch to iCLOUD i will get a repeat of losing my non iTUNES songs once again! i have not turned on my iPOD or synced it to my computer for many months! huge hassle to recopy songs from CD & maybe it is best to sign into iCLOUD to back up my newly purchased songs and then exit iCLOUD and then synch my iPOD to my computer and then synch without going into the iCLOUD scenario? i do not know and really need help on this. please answer in simple terms?

I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!
    hope this helps!

  • Will songs that were previously purchased in itunes always be available even though they may no longer be available in itunes?

will songs and videos purchased in itunes always be available for download even though it may no longer be available in itunes?

    Thank You,ThankYou, Thank You!!!!!!
I did not believe that it could be so easy, there were a few ringtones missing, but it does not matter. I did not know that was the way to do it, I thought that I had lost everything.
Again Thank You, I will look into your feedbacks again, when I have another problem.

  • HT1373 where can i find songs that could not download while adding to my library?

While copying songs to my library, some of them did not copy because of an error. It said, I could go to the Apple Store to see the list and I assume find out why it did not sync to my iphone but I could not locate it. Please provide some direction. Thanks

    Hello victorng34
You would need to check those songs on your main computer to see what Apple ID is associated with it. As long as you have Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases check, you should see everything associated with that Apple ID.
