I can't not link my mac to my iPad or iPhone with iCloud.

I can't seem to have my mac linked via icloud to my ios devices. When I buy a song on my ipad, it will imediately show up on my iphone and vice versa. However, nothing shows up on my mac itunes. As well, if I buy a song through itunes on my mac, nothing shows up on either of the ios devices. I have icloud turned on on my mac. I've check and triple checked all the settings and all seem to be correct. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. You have quite muddied up the waters, I'm afraid. Assuming you now have a single GUID partition formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled, you should try reinstalling Lion:

Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Yes you can definitely do this. You'll need an app on the iPad that handles PDF viewing and editing. There are many around - two of the best I've seen are GoodReader and PDF Expert.
In iTunes when you iPad is connected to your PC, go to the Apps tab and scroll down and you'll see the File Sharing section. You can drag files to there to share them to your iPad.
You could also look at online file sync services like PDF to ePub Maker if you prefer not to have to connect your iPad to a PC

If you are have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (option-command-S on a Mac), which might make it easier to navigate.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders (or iPhoto ro Aperture albums) to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad (unless you want to remove all synced photos), instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

Can't print from Intel Mac w/Snow Leopard to HP 2600. Upgraded from OS 10.4 and printer showed on printer list along with an Epson scanner. but continually shows printer as offline. I finally deleted the HP Color Laserjet 2600n from the printer list. When I attempted to re-install it, it doesn't find the printer at all. I haven't attempted to use the scanner. I also went to HP and downloaded the driver, no luck. I've restarted the computer multiple times, tried it with the printer on, and printer off, as well as pulled the usb cable in and out both ends. No error message on the printer display and it gpes through normal warmup until it shows the green light. I run software update and it shows no updates needed. Help!

When you press print the first window is pretty basic.
When you select print on that the next window should have an advanced option.
Click that and see if any of the options in the 3rd dropdown box allow you to specify the 'paper tray'.

In this new windaow, click "advanced", go to "paper type/quality" and choose " best" and a photo paper. Then you will be able to choose a paper source (photo tray).
Once you have these settings, under presets do "save as", and you can choose the preset instead of going to advanced.
If you have the latest software and drivers downloaded from HP, this will work.

I'm wanting to know if I put a Mac mini in target disk mode, can I boot from that Mac mini from my MacBook Pro. I'm wanting to set up a mini as a server but it may have to be the basic and ill install server on it but I prefer to do it without using a monitor. I'm curious to know if its possible.

You don't need a monitor with the MM, and neither boot in Target Mode. Like me, use screen sharing for remote access over the network:
On the MM, -> System Preferences -> Sharing, there check Remote Management and choose which user, if not all, may have access. If you're not the only one, you can limit access for each user under Options.
Under -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver, it makes sense to check Wake for network access.
Then you can log out from the MM, leave it sitting at the login screen and turn off or disconnect its screen.
On the remote Mac, open Finder and find the MM under Shared. Click in it, then on Share Screen. You'll need to enter the login credentials for your account on the MM, eventually save it to your Keychain. Then your MM's login screen should appear in a window on your remote Mac. You have now full access to the MM.
