Hi fax saved documents
Do you simply want to fax the file or do you want to collect signature using the fax Option?

How can I attach a PDF in an email, using an interactive button in the PDF-document?
I tried to create a form button with the menu action 'attach this PDF in an email'.
This Send.to-action doesn't work with Microsoft.
Does anyone has a solution by implementing a javascript-code for this in the PDF?

    Dick,
    Thanks for your replie.
Nice alternative, but it still doesn't work on a Windows machine when the
mail software from Microsoft doesn't react on PDF actions.
You can do many things in Acrobat, but it is a problem when it doesn't work
    on Windows and iPad.
So now I am looking for alternatives like  interactive magazine software
    (based on html5).

  • How can I get a PDF form to email to me when it is hosted online?

Ok, I'm not a coding expert, but I understand CSS and html alright.
I am trying to create a PDF form for my website: www.pantherapressdesign.com.
I have already created the forms (they are under the purchase section of the site) and when they are saved to the harddrive they work just fine. HOWEVER, when you fill them out and they open in the browser they will not submit to me (aka. I don't get them by email, even though the submit button correctly re-directs you to the thanks page).
In the fuctions of the submit button I have it set to mailto:[email protected]
When the form is saved on the hard drive (I open it from the desktop) and click submit it brings up a dialog box and asks me how I want to send it. I then choose desktop mail service, it opens it in an email and sends it.
I want customers to be able to click the form from the website - fill it out right there in the browser - and then be able to submit it to me that way.
I am assuming I must route this through the php or something, but am not sure how to do that. I have the php working for the contact from on the website, but I don't know php so I used pre-written code to do that. Is there some simple code I can drop into my php that will handle these forms? Help, please! Thanks

I looked at the Stationary form, and there are a number of things you need to change. It is currently set up to submit as "HTML", as opposed to FDF, XFDF, or the entire PDF. This is fine if you're submitting the form to a web server, which can read the field data, place it in an email, and send it off. This is actually much preferred to relying on the user's machine being set up properly to send an email. Many are not and not receiving order that someone thought was submitted will be bad for your business. Consider removing the existing forms today and you can update when they are working.
Your web hosting service likely has a PHP script that is designed to work with HTML forms and send an email with the form data included. This can work with a PDF form if the form is correctly set up. To do that, you will need to know how the script works and what it is expecting in the way of form data when it processes a submission. The PHP script should also be modified to send an appropriate response back to the user, which can be a simple redirect. The way you have it now with a link to the redirect page is wrong. It goes there whether the form is complete or not and whether the email actually got sent. This can be avoided by having the web server take care of this.
If you don't have the expertise to modify the form to suit the PHP script and PHP script to suit the workflow, you'll need to find someone who does.

  • Can I send a PDF with the email notification?

I paid for the $0.99 basic subscription to try out FormsCentral since there is no free trial.  My organization would like to have the completed PDFs included in the Notifications, and I can't seem to find a way to do that.  Is this possible?

    Hi Anubha,
    Thanks for your reply.
I tried sending myself a pdf document with comments from one email account and I sent it to another email account. I still get the same problem. I basically receive a pdf document with no comments.
    Am I doing something wrong?

  • Can no longer attach pdf files into email.

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 8.1 as the OS.  Seems that I am no longer able to attach PDF files into any email.  Any clues as to what has gone wrong?

Thanks for the help.  Seems I had a failed Windows update several weeks past I had forgottent about.  Had to do a restore to the prior date to get back to the right configuration.  Did an online session with Mircosoft, reinitiated the update, and it seems as if the issue is resolved.  We were able to re-test attaching and send pdf files. Seems there is still some slight issue with IE, but you appear to be on the right track about focusing on Web Outlook if the problem continues to surface.  Thanks again.

  • Can I fax a pdf file from pc through HP 5610 usb connection?

My old XP pc had a telephone/fax modem that allowed me to send out papaerless documents as faxes.
My new Win 8.1  desktop has no such hardware.
I found a 5610 All-in one at the thrift store. Can I direct files through the usb port to be sent as faxes--or do I need to print to paper and use the document feed on the 5610?
    Thanks

    Hello @deepthinker,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're looking for a way to fax from your Windows 8.1 computer through your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer. This is an option with your HP Officejet. Please follow the steps below to properly configure this feature.
    Step 1: Connect Fax Cable:
You need to plug a Fax Cable into the rear of your printer and plug it directly into the telephone wall jack. The faxes are sent from your computer to your printer as USB Cable  'print jobs' but nothing will print. Rather, when the fax document information gets to the printer the fax modem will take over and send the fax for you. You need to have an active telephone line attached to your fax port on the printer in order for this process to complete.
Once the fax cable is attached, please proceed to the next step.
    Step 2: Install Printer:
In order to have the fax portion of the driver installed, the HP Full Feature Software and Driver package needs to be loaded on your Windows Operating System.
Please click here to access the correct driver. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Please follow through with the onscreen instructions to install your printer.
    Step 3: Send Fax:
To send a fax from your Windows computer, you simply open the document you wish to fax. Then, go to File and Print. In the print dialogue window change the printer to the HP Officejet 5610 - FAX and select Print. A new window will open that will allow you to type in the fax number you wish to send to. Once you hit OK or Print then you will hear your machine send the fax.
Please let me know if these steps work for you. Good luck!

  • How can I FAX a PDF document in Mountain Lion?

When i open a PDF document Acrobat Viewer will not give me the same FAX options as when i open a regular document.

    What is a "fax dialog"?
This dialog, or something closely resembling it, is what you should see:
    Clicking Print sends the fax.
It is possible Acrobat is interfering with something, in which case you should get rid of it, unless you know of a reason to require it.

  • Pdf files in email won't open in ibooks ios7 upgrade issue

Since upgrading to ios7, I can no longer open pdf received in email to ibooks.

Yes. We noticed this problem after upgrading to 10.6.7. When we made a PDF from Word 2011 or even Text Edit through Adobe's "Save as Adobe PDF" it would hang. When we made a PDF using Apple's "Save as PDF" it would lock up Acrobat Pro 9 and also Acrobat Pro X. NOTE that this only happened using Adobe OTF fonts.
I posted this problem on Adobe's forum and received a message from admin there that this was caused by a change in font handling with Apple's 10.6.7 update.
As of yet, no solution has been posted. I also received a message from Adobe's Tech Support that it was forwarded to their engineers.
    Still waiting.

  • Why can't I open .pdfs any more?

All at once I can no longer open pdf files through emails after saving them to my pc. Using Vista and Reader XI.  I can open them fine on my android phone.
I read something somewhere about trouble with Adobe AIR.  I don't use it but did download it a few days ago.  I had trouble a few days ago not being able to open the .pdfs.  Then they all opened. Now a day or so later, again I can't open them.  Now I find I can not open new .jpgs either.
    This is what I'm seeing
Adobe Reader can not open (attachment) .pdf because it is either not a supported file type or be4cause the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).  I sent the email with the pdf attachments to several others on their own computers and they didn't have a problem opening them up.
I tried to open them through Adobe photoshop.  It said 'Not a valid portable document file'
This is the first time I have used this forum.  At one point it told me that I wasn't allowed.  That I would  have to speak with my administrator.  I am the administrator.  I am the only one who uses this computer.
    help :-)

Hello 'Test Screen Name', I did reply to Pat Willener on that question.  I'm not sure why it isn't showing up here.  In response to 'Can you open one of the affected PDFs with a text editor such as Notepad, then copy and past the first few lines......."
'no I'm not able to open the new .pdfs with notepad or any new default program.  It says 'File Does Not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Crate an association in Set Associations Control Panel.'
However, I am able to open older .pdfs and sometimes new .pdfs from the same sender I am now having problems with.  I generally only received .pdfs from this one sender.  Can it be that she is saving them wrong?  She says she isn't doing anything differently, but not long before all this started she said her pc crashed.

is there a way now that i can send pic mail thru instead of emailing using the 700wx
Post relates to: Treo 700wx (Sprint)

Hi..  Welcome to the Palm forums.  On windows mobile (700wx) to send any media file it has to be sent thru mms.  In messages click on the inbox and select mms.  In the to line put in a phone number and attach your picture and send.  That will go thru text msg due to the phone number vice a email address.  Remember you have to subscribe to mms or picture msg thru your carrier as well as the person receiving has to subscribe thru their carrier.

    You aren't doing anything wrong.
If the PDF is short enough, your iPad Mail app will display the text as part of the mail.
Actually it is still an attachment.
Tap and HOLD on the text and you should see options to "Open In..." that will allow you to open the PDF in most PDF readers such as iBooks, GoodReader, etc.
