Can I filter pictures by NOT having a certain keyword?
Hello. I was wondering if there was a way to see all pictures in a folder that does NOT have a certain keyword?
For example if I have three pictures tagged with the following keywords:
Picture 1: food, horse, glue
Picture 2: food, cat, soup
Picture 3: horse, cat
I want to be able to filter out any pictures containing the keyword food. So that all I see is Picture 3.
Also is there a way to filter pictures that have multiple keywords? I know that you can see all pictures containing food AND/OR horse. But I want to be able to filter out so that I see pictures that definately contain both. food AND horse. If I were to select the keywords food and horse I would see Picture 1 AND Picture 2. I want to filter so that I only see Picture 1, since that is the only picture that contains BOTH food AND horse.

BTW. Using CS4.
You can do so using the find option in Bridge (cmd + F or menu Edit - find)
Inhere you can choose from a very large range of options with adding filter
criteria and various options, also the option "does not contain"
The first search is possibly a long one if you have not already used the
indexing on your folders

You are trying to download what you think is a picture, but are really code appearing as pictures on the page you are viewing.
This is often done to protect the copywrite of the picture.
If you right click the picture in question and the dialog box includes Save Image As then it is a picture you can download. -

I can view my pictures in Classmates in IE But not in firefox. I can vie pictures on Facebook fine. I tried every settingsuggested in help unless I missed something.
With the site that you are having problems with on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see the [[site identity button]] article) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images. -
Using more than one keyword don't not work to filter pictures.

i am new to aperture and currently try to filter images with keywords. i have for instance a picture of a dog in my china projects. the keywords attached to the dog picture are: "Animals, Dogs, China, Xian. all keywords capitalized and separated by a comma. if i type Dogs or animals, or any of the keyword attached to it individually its works. i will get the picture. but if i enter two keywords, i.e., Animals, Dogs, I don't get any return. nothing.
of course, i can open the keyword field, and check Animals and Dogs and it will bring the pictures. But does someone know why typing several keywords (same capitalization, spelling, etc) attached to a picture does not bring result in finding the picture.
thanks for your helpThere should be a button to the left of the search box which will open a window of search options. One of the options is Keywords and it allows you to check the keywords you would like to search for. You can have it include images which have all the selected keywords or any of the selected keywords. Here is an image of that box:

Can't filter on keywords when having ca +300 keywords
I'm trying to filter my photos (ca 30.000) on keywords (having ca +300) but run into problems because all my keywords won't show up on the screen when doing Search->Keywords. Screen shows ca 200 of them and I can't scroll the list, so I'm unable to filter on the keywords not showing up in the list.
Any ideas? Except deleting a lot of keywords, that isKeyWord Manager is end of life and is no longer working nor developed.
I can't believe this glaringly obvious fault still exists in iPhoto. It makes keywords and thus iPhoto now unusable for me to manage a large library.
I have also added a feedback bug to Apples support site - not that I expect to ever hear anything back... -

I was having the same problem you're having - for those that don't understand... I synced photos on to my ipad which placed them inside "photos" not cameral roll. I then sold me laptop as I thought I had no need for it. When I bought my new iMac I tried to use my external hard drive which had my back up on, however my hard drive no longer works. Thus unable to retreive my photos on to my iMac!
Anyway... long of the short of it is theres no easy way. But there are a few ways. I'm currently using icloud's photo stream. As long as you have photo stream set up on your mac you can create a shared stream on the ipad with a friend. This shared stream will appear on your mac, you can then "import photos" straight from the shared stream.
Alternativley you could use something like drop box. Sync your pictures from iPad to drop box. Then download from drop box to Mac. As I said, no easy way that I have found but this does work. It just takes a long time.
Key Facts:
You can have 5000 photos inside a sharred stream
You can have 100 sharred streams
Therefore you can stream 500,000 photos - I hope you don't have that many.

i downloaded 3 songs to my pc and sync'd my ipod and the songs do not tranfer. is this related to not having the proper itunes version vs ios? I cannot get the songs to sync, but I can move other songs to different playlists and they sync fine...any ideas what's wrong?

I have a couple of steps for you to try in order to get those songs transferred to your iPod touch. First, make sure all of your software is updated with the latest versions. If the songs were downloaded from iTunes, you will also want to delete the songs from your library and then download them again from the list of past purchases on your iTunes account. If you try a sync after those two steps and are still seeing the issue, then I would like you to try syncing the iPod by setting it to manually manage. An article outlining more information on manually managing your iPod sync can be found here:

Hi, I try to conect Mac Mini from 2009 with my HD Tv Samsung F 6400 . With Mini Dvi conection and adapter to HDMI input in TV I got picture but not sound! I have analog cable from the phones out from mac but imposible to conect to TV? Can you HLP?
You really need a newer Mac Mini with a true HDMI output, because that Mac Mini's DVI output does not support Audio.
You might try a 3.5mm to RCA adapter
from the Mac Mini's headphone jack to the TV's audio input,
but that would require being able to select the Audio input in the TVs menu while using it's HDMI input.
Optionally you could also use an external 2.1 Speaker System or patch the audio from the Mac Mini to your home stereo system to enhance that older Mac Mini's audio. -
I am trying to move a pdf file onto my iPad2, and it says that the device is not connected or has stopped working. But Windows 7 recognizes the device and I can see my pictures. Same thing happens when I try to put music onto the iPad.
When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up. -
Hundreds of my iPhoto pictures will not be copied and will not show when I double-click on them. When I do in iPhoto an exclamation surrounded by a triangle appears. Though I can see the picture in the small tiles below it will not expand. I also cannot attach any of these pics into an e-mail or into any other file. I have already went through all 3 Repair options and when that did not solve it went through a complete Rebuild. Any Help?! Any Suggestions on how to fix this?! I have spent almost 2 days now going through all of the published help.
I have backups going back 6 months - I have not had the real need to check every album before - but - all of my backups also have this same problem.The triangle with the ! indicates that the connection between the thumbnail and the orginal is missing - this can be caused by many things including database corruption and user action emoving the originals photos on urpose or by accident
If the database is corrupted then rebuilding is the solution - backup and depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and rebuild your database -- if the iPhoto rebuild does not cure the problem then download iPhoto Library manager and use its rebuild command which creates a totally new library leaving the existing one untouched
If you have deleted the photos then you need to start over with a new library and import the photos you have not deleted into it
You can select one of the problem photos and use the reveal original in finder commander (file menu) to see if the original is there - if it is a finder window will open showing it

how can i remove pictures from my droid turbo without having to use the touch screen on the phone at all? my screen is cracked and i am waiting on a replacement phone. as far as i can tell in order to access the phone storage through my computer, i have to use the touchscreen to enable it so that the computer will see it as a camera. I can't do that as the top half of the touschscreen is unresponsive. any suggestions? teaches me to use the backup services offered in the future, but i still need a short term solution for this time.
I'm sorry to hear your screen is cracked spence425. I know its difficult to use the phone while its damaged. I'm happy you are receiving a replacement device. Have you saved any of your pictures and other data to the cloud? Here is a link about the cloud http://vz.to/1mF0GIx . Unfortunately, you will be unable to remove any data from the phone if the screen is unresponsive but if you are looking to transfer data to your new phone, it would have needed to be saved via the cloud first. How can I import pictures from my iphone to PC which I imported to the iphone from another PC? The folder doesn't show on my computer. I see all other pictures I took with the phone but not the imported folder.
Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).
