Can I get a backlit keyboard for my Hp Pavilion M6-1054sa?

Hi
I just got this laptop and sadly it didn't come with a backlit keyboard. I was wondering if it's possible to replace my current keyboard with a backlit? If this is possible, would you know where I could buy the parts needed and how to install them, or even if HP can carry out this service for you? Thanks!

Anyone?

    Hi,
Keyboard alone won't light up, you need power from motherboard that means you may need a new motherboard too. Please check the following link to find compatible parts:

  • Where can I get a new keyboard for my Tecra A3 in the UK?

I spilt some water - damn! - a couple of days ago on my Tecra A3 and I think it is beyond fixing, though please correct me if I am wrong.
I haven't been cleaning it regularly and I think there was probably quite a bit of dust - and other foreign matter - under the keys and I think some dust has got, via the water, into the electronics connecting the keys to the white connecting tissue - I don't know what you call this - which links the keyboard to the rest of the machine.
Most of the keys aren't working, and some of them, whey they work, add in for free, for one tap, extra letters.
I removed the keyboard, and left it and the machine to dry and, when that didn't do the trick, dried the keyboard and surrounding parts thorougly - working delicately - and cleaned it using a tiny bit of alcohol and ear cotton wool cleaners. I also used a little air pressure producing machine to try to get rid of any dust. I think I did a fair job but It is still not working.
I think I will have to buy a new keyboard. Do you know where can I get a new keyboard A3 in the UK or a second hand keyboard that would be in perfectly good working order?
    Thanking you in advance,
    Conor Joyce

    Hi
On the Toshiba website you can search for the nearest authorized service provider. They sell all original Toshiba spare parts. Call them and ask for a new keyboard, they can order a new one for you.
Here you can search for the nearest ASP:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Find an authorized service provider
Second hands you get from eBay for example but normally keyboards are not so expensive so I would buy a new one.

  • Where can I get this Chinese keyboard for the X1 Carbon Touch?

I'm looking for this keyboard for the X1 Carbon Touch (3443CTO):
I believe it's sold in Taiwan, because it has the Bopomofo typing system, but I would mainly need it for Cangjie. So far, I think I've narrowed it down to two FRUs: 04X0479 and 04Y0819. Is it possible to install a Windows 7 X1 Carbon keyboard on a Windows 8 X1 Carbon Touch, ie. are they cross-compatible? Unfortunately, I don't know which one to purchase or how to order the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Hi breandan,
I have been quite busy lately with a startup i am running, so i didn't have time to contribute regularly on my ThinkScopes blog.
I think you can pop off the keys, but you may damage them in the process. I think it would work out easier and cheaper trying to procure the keyboard that you need from some other random sources. If you know Chinese, you can try 51nb.com forum, they have lot of odd parts retailer that can stuffs for you, and they are not that expensive either. Failing that call IBM Parts service and quote the part you need, and get it from them.

For some reason, your Mac doesn't recognise that a keyboard is present, so it looks for a wireless keyboard. The question is, why doesn't your Mac recognise that a keyboard is attached?
First, you need to make sure you remove all peripherals, especially USB peripherals (the keyboard is on the USB bus). Then restart holding down the Shift key. This should boot in Safe mode. If the computer boots normally (not in safe mode) and the keyboard is still not working, try resetting the SMC
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964>
If that still doesn't fix the problem, then the keyboard (or its controller) is probably damaged and needs to be replaced.

  • Does anyone know where I can get a replacement keyboard for my imac G5 power PC purchased in December 2005

Does anyone know where in the UK or Ireland I can get a replacement keyboard for my imac G5 power PC purchased in December 2005. Running Mac OSX 10.4.1.1?

Not sure where in Ireland to look, but be aware that SOME Apple Aluminum boards will work with 10.4.11. The first Al boards and those through the first few months of 2011 were compatible with any Mac running OS 10.4.11 and having USB ports. Then they changed them to require 10.6.8 for full function.
The ones compatible with 10.4.11 (MB110LL/A) have the icon for Dashboard on the F4 key; the later ones (MB110LL/B) have an icon consisting of six tiny rectangles grouped to form a larger rectangle. The keyboard boxes are nearly identical except for:
the system requirements printed on the front panel
the back panel on the first model reads "Keyboard" where the newer model reads "Keyboard with Numeric Keypad."

  • How can I get the Voiceover Keyboard shortcuts to show up in a form in which I can copy

I have low vision & have been trying to learn to use Voiceover on both my iPhone & my Mac mini for months. Very frustrating.
    1. How can I get the Voiceover keyboard shortcut commans to show up in a form in which I can copy & paste them into a pages document so I can print it out & use for quick reference?? The one that shows up when I press VO +HH won't let me copy & paste it, & it won't show up in the Help section no matter what subject I enter. The help topics shown do not correlate with the topics I'm entering. why is that??
    2. Please make the cursor able to be wider, like in the software program Zoomtext, that I used when I had a PC. The razor-thin cursor (in this text box!) in Pages is impossible for me to see.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

You should be able to copy them from there.

  • Can't get Line6 KB37 Keyboard to Trigger ezDrummer Samples

I have KB37 and use Logic 9.1.5 Express (Mac Snow Leopard) and ezDrummer.
How can I trigger the drum samples from ezDrummer through my KB37?
I can use the default midi drums in Logic just fine through my keyboard, and I can see KB37 when I open a  new track "External Midi" -- but I can't get the KB37 keyboard to play any individual ezDrummer drums.
I want to use these ezDrummer drums (cymbal crashes, etc) so they match the ezDrummer tracks I'm laying down in Logic.
Any idea how to do this?
I can see the midi notes being triggers when I press the keys -- which indicates to me that Logic is receiving a midi signal -- but I can't get any sound to come out(?)
    Thanks for any help!

Well, how have to determined no signal is being recieved to your mac?
Have you got something that shows the actual signal? Or have you just been trying to control a VST? What software are you using by the way?
I personnally went with a AKAI MPK25, because it's made already mapped for logic & ableton etc, so it just makes things incredibly easy.
I would suggest you return it if you can as a dead unit & perhaps look at something else a bit easier?
Otherwise, if you just want to get this working we can have a look a bit deeper.
    And driver? OS X driver?

  • How can I get my wireless keyboard battery access to open. It's like the bloody thing has seized up and won't open?

How can I get my wireless keyboard battery access to open. It's like the bloody thing has seized up and won't open? Tried the coin...nope.  Tried a screw driver...nope! Even tried WD-40 - nope! Or does this mean it's now in the boat anchor pile!

They are designed for coins... is this your first time changing the battery? Make sure you are twisting in the right direction and make sure you are pushing down on it and applying pressure at the same time you turn.

  • Can I Replace a Keyboard(N on-Backlit ) with a Backlit Keyboard in my HP Pavilion 17-f053ca Laptop?

Can I Replace standard Keyboard(Non-Backlit ) with a Backlit Keyboard in my HP Pavilion 17-f053ca Laptop?

    Hi,
Unfortunately no available part for the series:
         http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04402649.pdf
    More manuals:
         http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-Notebook-PC-series/6936220/model/7200385/manuals
In this case, you also need to replace the mother board (means buy a new machine) because you need connectors for all those lights.

  • Backlit keyboard for dv7t-4100?

I need to replace the keyboard in my Pavilion dv7t-4100.  Is it possible to install a backlit keyboard, i.e. is the backlight connector present on the motherboard on this model?  If so, what is the part number for the backlit keyboard?  I've heard of people installing backlit keyboards intended for other models.

    Hello anshuman_ina.
According to page 57 of your notebook's Maintenance and Service Guide (click here) there are backlit keyboards for this model.  The guide has the part numbers listed.

  • How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session

    Hi ,
How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session?
Example - I have a report based on the procedure ,when the user execute that it takes say 3 min. to return rows.
Is there any possible way to capture this session info. for this particular execution of query along with it's execution elapse time?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
You can use the dbms_utility.get_time tool (gives binary_integer type value).
1/ Initialize you time and date of beginning :
    v_beginTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
    2/ Run you procedure...
    3/ Get end-time with :
    v_endTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
4/ Thus, calculate elapsed time by difference :
    v_elapsTime := v_endTime - v_beginTime ;
This will give you time elapsed in of 100th of seconds...
Then you can format you result to give correct print time.
    Hope it will help you.
