Note that if you bought the iPod with a credit card less than 90 days ago, you might have insurance through the card company. Some cards provide Purchase Protection insurance which will replace or repair any item lost, stolen or damaged within 90 days of purchase. Check with your card company.

My friend dropped my sling bag which contained my 3rd gen iPad.Only when I reached home 30 mins later,then did I realise the LCD screen was cracked.This is the second time my iPad screen has cracked.The first time round,my father dropped it thanks to the smart over that snapped,so he got it replaced,external help though.This time,I searched the net only to find out Apple actually replaces iPad,be sure to type "iPad screen crack" on google and the first few links is it.So I contacted Apple,only to find out I have to pay a replacement fee,and a fe replacement is not allowed.Why is this so?Other users have too accidentally got their iPad screen cracked but still received a FREE replacement,but it has to be that few who can't get a free replacement.Shouldn't Apple have a uniform way of doing things?

Accidents happen, and apple can certainly assist you with replacement of said device. Most manufacters would tell you to buy a brand new retail unit, apple will charge you about half price for a replacement unit. I agree its unfortunate that it happend, but expecting a free replacement is just going to lead to disappointment

Not if it was caused by accidental damage. You can make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and see if they do screen replacement. If they do it is $149, if they can't it is $229 for an out-of-warranty replacement. If you bought AppleCare + it is a $49 deductible.

That is not a 90 day guaranrtee. It is a 90 warranty which only covers workmenship and materials not damage. So no. You are going to have to pay to get it replaced.

At a New Years Eve party I was riding my little cousins Green Machine bike thing and I turned a corner and I had my iphone 4 in my front pocket and I turned a corner and it slipped out and hit the concrete ground. It has a shatter place at the top left corner on the white part on the front then it continues down to the home button,and across the top of the screen. I didn't have my Otter Box on it but I put it on after that happened. It covers up the shatter on my screen but thats pretty much it. I've been seeing people on here that has been getting there's replaced for free, so I was wondering if I could get my screen replaced. I don't have the Apple Care thing but I know that I have the Apples Warranty until December 16, 2012. Does anyone know if that covers getting my screen replaced for free or anything? I reallly need a new screen, I just don't want to spend a fortune on it! Please help!!!

As a rule Apple will not replace the battery after the first year as the battery is considered a consumable item.
Also you have over the rated cycle count so the battery is Used Up, Consumed.
Now it all depends on what G bar you take it to and what G person you talk to but don't get your hopes up that you will have it changed for free. More then likely it Will Not be changed for free.

First, you can update your current OS to 10.2.8 via download and with that update you can install and run iTunes version 6. That should let you use the Nano without upgrading to 10.3. Several people have indicated that they are using the iPod with Jaguar (10.2) even though Apple officially specs out that Nano at 10.3. Jaguar didn't support USB 2 - Panther does.
However, should Panther be necessary, you will have to purchase that upgrade. Since Panther has been replaced by Tiger, you should be able to find it discounted. Try Other World Computing or Small Dog.

Yes. Make a trip to your local Apple Store and show them what is going on. Since the headset is still under a year old, they should swap it out for you at no cost. Unless for some reason they deem the issue the result of misuse or abuse, but that doesn't sound like the case here.

If your damage is caused by accidental damage or intentional user damage, then you would be looking at an out of warranty repair. I'm not sure what the costs of an out of warranty repair are for an iPhone 4, but they are probably in the $99-149 USD range.
The cost for getting a new iPhone would depend upon your current contract status. If you are out of contract, you can get a new iPhone 4s (the next newer model) for free.

I was in a similiar circumstance this week. I accidentally dropped my two week old ipad2. My gf bought it for me for my birthday. I called my nearest apple store all upset about it. They booked an appt with me that same day to look at it.
I arrived at the store again very upset and beside myself that I broke this very expensive gift that I absolutely love.
"paul" at the store was phenominal. He could definitely see how upset i was.
he explained that this kind of damage is definitely not covered under warranty. And that the repair bill would be 259.00. i knew I could not afford that right now, he proceeded to tell me its ok, you have caught me in a very good mood. And he believed in Karma. He replaced my ipad2 free of charge. :-) WOW that is customer service!!!

Every now and then my BT hub (router) seems to just turn off. I checked the electrics and plugged in other things/switched plugs but it made no difference.
Although it's working right now, I'm worried it might suddenly go when I arrive home one day from work.
Is it possible to request a replacement?
Or, can I buy one of them fancy shiny routers from PC World (etc...) and use that? -- I'm unsure what details I would need to hook up my BT Broadband to a none-BT router.

Have you tried reporting it as a fault to the broadband help desk on 0800 111 4567, you may get a replacement free of charge if it is deemed as being faulty.
