CAN I GET A STRAIGHT HONEST ANSWER PLEASE?

I have been a Verizon customer for years, my 2 yr contract on 2 of my lines was up more than a month ago. I am now month to month on those two lines because Verizon wouldnt allow me to switch (upgrade the two lines) to the Edge because less than 6 months ago (I am told on March 22, 2015 it will be 6 months exactly) my service was iinterrupted for 3 hours because a pmt was made on my account with the wrong card I had stored in my pmt options (obviously I was not aware this particular card was used), the moment I was aware of the situation I obviously fixed it and paid the balance and the $15 re-connection fee per line to get service activated, as I mentioned previously, within 3 hours. I called Verizon and explained I didnt think this was fair due to circumstances, they said call back on March 1, 2015 and I would be able to switch to the Edge, so I called on the 1st and was told I couldnt Edge Up until the 22nd of March. I am confused why one rep. would say the 1st and another rep. would say the 22nd, I am also confused that my 24 yr. old daughter who has an acount with Verizon with terrible pmt history was able to Edge Up and receive a new phone even though she wasnt even eligible for an upgrade (her contract was not ended), but I was denied the option when I had 2 out of 3 lines that had upgrades (contract ended)? Doesn't make any sense what-so-ever! Can you explain this? Or am I going to hear, "I dont know why your daughter was allowed the option to Edge Up even though she wasnt eligible for an upgrade"? I just keep getting "I don't know" answers, or flat out "wrong answers". Can Verizon give a straight up correct answer? .

While your daughter's payment history may be bad, only the last 6 months of her history has to be good. Prior to that does not factor into meeting the requirements.
At to entering into an Edge agreement before her contract ended, Verizon occasionally offers Early Edge where you can purchase a phone on Edge before a contract has been completed BUT the phone purchased on contract has to be returned to Verizon in good working condition or else there would be an additional $300 charge added to the account.

    Yes I did the search, and I am not suprised that most of the post that comes up when I enter 800W keyword is regarding sending email out.  I myself talked to tech department 5 times, the best they did is get it to work for about 2 weeks.  So my last resort is to come to palm forum to find answers, and I am not suprised I am not alone in regards to this email not sending.
    The solutions I found in this forum is to download another email program and use that to send email, why would I want to spend $30 more for a program on something I am suppose to have working out of the box?  Also I read that someone who did download the program and got his email to work, but now he is having the same problem again.  So downloading this program technically does not work.
    Another solution is to setup the phone using smtp.sprintpcs.com to email out, then someone say that Sprintpcs is going to shut down the service.  So I talked to Sprint PCS customer service, they are going to shut down their sprintpcs email address, but they are not shutting down their server.
    Some other thread suggest getting a gmail account and use gmail as the outgoing email server, again I read some people did this and it will work for awhile and then all of the sudden it will stop working.
    Many people on this forum and I need a permanent solution to this problem, I do not believe it is sprints problem because my email works when I had 650p with versamail.  It also worked back when I had the Treo 600.  Therefore the ball is at Palm and possibly Windows court, you guys need to step up and fix this.  Smart phone that can not send out email is a very dumb phone.

    Yes the pop3 works great, I receive email with no problem.
    It is the smtp server that is the problem, the smtp server has to be provided by same as the pop3 server.  It may work for a bit with a different smtp server, but the setup will stop working after a while.  This is coming straight from the Sprint Repair place, from a repair person.  He also mentioned Sprint network only likes its own sprint vision and gmail server, anything else the smtp server will be rejected.  Neither of these two server is secure, meaning it can be accessed by people working at sprint or google.  If it is just personal email I have no problem with, but when we send business email there are stuff that we would like to keep secure.  For an example, you are a yahoo employee or MicroSoft employee and you use sprint email, would you want Google employee reading your business tactics?
    What I also find ironic is sprint allows gmail which is provided by google, do they not know google is introducing GPhoneand is utilizing T-Mobile???  Who knows when they will stop allowing gmail from working due to "conflict of interest", and the sprint email shutting down, if sprint email shuts down and it includes their smtp server how is Sprint customer to email out?  Basically it means your only option is blackberry because blackberry has its own service, which allows customer to use their own email servers to send and receive email.  I don't know about you but I hate blackberry, especially with the trackball like control it has now.  Which means I will switch the whole company over to Verizon, maybe just eat the cost of ending contract early.  It may cost us more money if we are not allowed to use our own email server for 2 years and rely on their unsecured email servers.

    Pogo and Fire fox have a difference of opinion. the games worked fine for years on Firefox, but all of a sudden stopped. Did something with Java - pogo- Firefox occur. I do not like using Internet explorer on there it worked for awhile.

    You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right?  If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

    If it's a charge though your iTunes Store account, it should be reflected in your Purchase History:

    If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly or your credit card number has been stolen and used by someone else in another iTunes Store account rather than an unauthorized purchase through your account. In either case it will be up to your bank to handle.

    In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.
    Set it also to notify you of the changes, so you will have to approve any changes.

    I found that the only time Siri will read anything to you is if it finds a Wikipedia article. Siri will let you know it found that, and ask if you want it to be read out loud. Other than that you will hear the "I found this, take a look".
    The only other thing you can do is activate "Speak Screen". It will involve you taking a look at your phone for a moment, selecting what you'd like to look at, but Siri will read the content to you. It's in Settings > General > Accessibility.  Once activated, all you have to do is slide two fingers from the top of the screen and you will have it read to you. I use it all the time because of my astigmatism. It's pretty useful.

    On Saturday morning I called customer care with a SIMPLE question about how the Edge Program works. The lady I spoke with gave me information that didn't make sense and told me one of my lines could move to edge and the other could only after 6 months of on-time payments. That didn't make sense to me, how could one be eligible and not the other when the explanation of WHEN would be eligible is contingent upon 6 months payments. I was so irritated I started shopping at other carriers to see what their "Edge" like programs work like and was considering switching carriers. So, I called back and spoke with another guy to find out what my ETF's were and he informed me that I COULD upgrade both lines to a Note 4 for about $5 above what my bill is a mo. each with all of the discounts applied. I told him that I would go to a Verizon store and probably upgrade instead of cancelling. So, I went to the store and was treated TERRIBLY!! I was told that I could not move both of my lines to the edge program with the Note 4. I was told I could move to Edge with both lines but one would have to be a Droid and the other could be whatever phone I wanted. I was blown away with yet another piece of information that was not matching up with what I was told. He said I could call customer care and see if they could do anything. I was BLOWN away that a corporate Verizon store would just turn me away (which was extremely demeaning and embarrassing in front of their other customers) to call customer care again and tell me my best option would be to cancel if I wanted a new phone for the line I wanted to upgrade. So, I called customer care again and spoke with another lady who correctly informed me (I think) of how it works and stated there was nothing she could do on the line that was not eligible which should have been told in the previous conversation with the guy I spoke with. One thing struck me as odd, she said the phone is on a lease with Edge so the phone is never yours, which is something NO ONE mentioned at any point in any prior conversation. So, is that true? I now know where I stand with upgrading but my original questions about how Edge works are still not fully answered and what the last rep stated brings up other questions. If it's "leased" what happens if it's broken or lost? Anyway, I was looking for what I thought was a straight forward answer to a question about how Edge works, how much it costs, and are my lines eligible, etc. and wasted a good hour on the phone and another two driving to a store just to get turned away like as though no one even cared! The last lady I spoke with seemed to care but I'm blown away with the TERRIBLE customer service and COMPLETE lack of ownership. Why can no one take the feedback and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT and then answer my questions about the Edge program. Bottom line, I'm not looking for a freebie upgrade (though maybe I should for all of the time wasted due to incorrect/inaccurate information). but I'm blown away that no one wants to do anything.
    That all being said, can someone on here explain how Edge works with the discounts and is the phone really a "leased" phone? Pretty sad that I'm resorting to forums to ask other customers how it works but would appreciate any info anyone can share. I'm probably going to port both of my numbers to AT&T if it is true they are a lease and due to all of the terrible customer service.

    I just saw in another post that if it's an "early" edge I would have to turn in the phones. No one told me that either and now I wonder if just forget Edge and port out. What's the advantage of doing Edge with all this confusion and red tape? Is an early edge considered early if you're upgrading with Edge prior to the contract end on the current phone? Verizon Customer Care and Stores REALLY NEED to be up front about this stuff! From what I see here and what others are going through Edge is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE program.

    Is there anyone or anywhere you can get a straight answer from openreach on when a cabinet wil be connected?
    I think I know whats going on. They are connecting exchanges to meet targets but not bothering with cabinets. Exchange connected = Fibre in area but the reality is very different.
    I know this isnt an openreach forum but this seems to full of knowledgeable and helpful people. Maybe somone can find out when we can expect a power cable to be plugged into our cabinet. Seems to be most of our town that despite being 'enabled' cant get connected
