Can I get back to the older version of FoxFire? I don't like the new one

I don't like the new version

It would be faster and more satisfying to change the appearance to the toolbars in 4.0.1 to what you like than to reinstall an older version.
You can make Firefox 4.0.1 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)]
If still not convinced the next section on that page is [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#backto3pt6 Running both Fx3 and Fx4 or Returning to Fx3] (#backto3pt6)

  • How can I get back to an older version of Firefox? I have an add-on that is not compatible with version 5.0 but I need it !

    I have installed Firefox 5.0 but this version does not work with some of my add-ons.
    There are no new versions of the add-ons yet.
    I want to uninstall Firefox 5.0 and install an older version of Firefox.
    How do I do that?

    The latest versions of Firefox require at least Mac OS X 10.5 and an Intel processor. You can revert to Firefox 3.6.xx for Mac 10.4 by downloading the installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

  • How can I go back to an earlier version of Firefox I don't like 4

    I just updated this morning and I don't like it because all my norton logins don't work and will not be fixed until May.
    I would like to install an earlier version, how can I?

    To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
    You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
    To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
    For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • I use Mac 10.4.11 Can I get back to the last version of foxfire I was using?

    I have been using foxfire on my computer for the past few years. Today I was trying to upgrade and when I did, it took off the old foxfire and then told me it could not upgrade. Now I can't get foxfire at all because it is telling me my system is too old. I use Mac 10.4.11 Can I get back to the last version of foxfire I was using?

    Beginning with Firefox 4, Macs must have an Intel x86 processor (which you do NOT have; yours is a PPC Mac) '''''<u>and</u>''''' OSX 10.5 or higher (you have version 10.4)

    '''''The good news''''' is that Firefox 3.6.24 still supports OSX 10.4 and Macs with the PPC Mac architecture. '''''The bad news''''' is that support for the Firefox 3.6.x series is likely to end in the first quarter of 2012.

    You can try the third-party product '''''TenFourFox''''' that supports PPC Macs. Firefox 8 version of '''''TenFourFox''''' is available. The product is based on Firefox released versions. All support is provided by the developer, not by this site:

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    IS THIS A GAME?
    WHAT DETAILS DO YOU NEED?
    THE COMPUTER HAS WORKED FINE
    WITH THE OLD MOZILLA FIREFOX
    FOR YEARS.
    NO CHANGES HERE IN ANYTHING ELSE.

    Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the following:<br><br>
    * Fun Web Products Plugin<br><br>
    * My Web Search<br><br>
    Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.
    Next, click the Extensions menu link (above Plugins where you are) and remove the "Ask Toolbar".
    If the problem persists, please do the following:<br><br>
    #Click '''Help '''| '''Restart with Add-ons disabled'''.<br><br>
    #In the next menu which appears, checkmark: "'''Reset toolbars and Controls'''".<br><br>
    #Finally, click the button called "'''Make changes and restart'''".
    Just in case you weren't aware of it, you can right click the Back or Forward buttons to get a list of sites visited. If you'd like to see the return of the arrow on the Back button, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/
    Last but not least, some of your plugins are seriously out of date which exposes your system to exploits. Please visit the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update where necessary.

  • Can you revert back to an older version of I tunes?

    I have OS X 10.4 and tried to download the latest version of Itunes. Under system requirements, I thought it said you must have OSX 3.9 or later . . .so I downloaded it. Now when I try to open I tunes on my computer it says "you must have OS X 4.2 or later, for info an upgrading you operating system . . . " So my questions are, why did it let me down load I tunes 7.2 if my system did not meet the requirements and how do I get back to an older version? I have tried to download I tunes 6 but everytime I click to install it just says there is nothing to install. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    I have Mac OS X 10.4. I have my music backed up. What if I backed up all my files and restored manufacturers settings? would that give me an I tunes version that I could use? I dunno . . . I guess I have another computer but this is no fun!
    Hi Lingar,
    I think Chris was looking for your specific update number of your OS X installation.
    In other words, mine (and Chris's) is 10.4.10. The ".10" after the "4" indicates which update to Mac OS X we have installed.
    Choose "About This Mac" from the Apple logo in the menu bar and see what it says next to Version.
    iTunes 7.3.2 current requirements:
    Macintosh Requirements
    * Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later or Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later required for iTunes
    * Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later required for iPhone
    * 500MHz G3 processor or better
    * QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
    * 256MB RAM
    * Combo/Super Drive to burn CDs
    * Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming
    music
    Additional Video Requirements
    * Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
    * 1 GHz G4 processor or better
    * QuickTime 7.1.6 or later
    * 16MB video RAM
    As long as your OS is 10.4.7 or above, you meet the necessary OS requirements for iTunes 7.3.2.
    But as Chris suggested to another poster, it's probably a good idea to update your OS to the most current version. Download the 10.4.10 Combo updater from http://www.apple.com/support/downloadshttp://www.apple.com/support/downloads and install.
    It's also a good idea to repair permissions following the OS update.

  • Every time I update Firefox I can't get back on the internet. I have to uninstall and go back to an old Firefox.

    I have an old Firefox. Every time I update to a new version, I can't get back on the internet. It tells me it can't find the server. So I have to uninstall the updated version and go back to my old version.

    Check your firewall settings.

    Not unless you saved a copy of the old iPhoto Library. Otherwise, you can't go back.

  • HT1947 Can I go back to an older version of iTunes that'll support both my iPhone 4S w/iOS6 and my MacBook running Leapord 10.5.8?

    Can I go back to an older version of iTunes that'll support both my iPhone 4S w/iOS6 and my 2009 MacBook running Leapord 10.5.8? I simply want everything to work the way it had been forever until recently. However, I can't imagine Apple would intentionally make their own products obsolete by rendering them useless through a software "upgrade."  My MacBook is only 3 yrs old so I feel like I am simply missing 1 piece to this puzzle in order for things to start working again. I have my MacBook, iPod and iPhone 4S all set up to install updates automatically so if I need to uninstall certain updates and revert back to ones that work will that even be an option?  Thanks

    The only version of iTunes which will support both is version 10.6.3.

    Try this.

    Ditto.
    You need to look for your itunes library under Computers and select it, then music.
    Music column is for web based content not local content, just to confuse everyone.
