Can i get collection of kernel patches in 1 EXE.....

Hi,
We found around 40 kernel patches and 20 oracle patches in service market place. Is there any option where we can get 1exe file for all 40 kernel patches(
34 are independent & 6 are dependent) & 1exe for all 20 oracle patches?
Where can i find patches for BRTOOLS in market place?
We thought of installing Oracle and thn the patches, then apply kernel & its patches and then once SAPINST is complete go for BI cont 3.53 installtion. Is the sequence i mentioned correct ?

You don´t need all of them, you just need specific ones.
SAP releases every quarter a patch set with all the actual and tested patches of the different tools, the DB independent and the DB dependent part.
To get the newest kernel patches download
- SAPEXE*.SAR (for your operating system)
- SAPEXEDB.SAR (for your database)
and then subsequently all the patches, that have creation dates AFTER both the others mentioned above.
The BRTOOLS are in the Oracle folder of your operating system named "DBA".
Your sequence for the installation is not correct:
- start sapinst and install central instance
- start sapinst again and install database instance
- sapinst will stop at a certain point and will tell you to install the database (use the RUNINSTALLER provided on the SAP-CD and NOT the standard runInstaller)
- patch your database up to the latest patchset and all interim patches
- go on with sapinst

[SOLVED] Messed up my X installation - can I get a clean kernel back?

I messed up my X installation.
I have tried the whole day and I can't get it to work.
I am writing from another computer but I desperately need to get the other one working again.
I would like to avoid to have to re-install everything if possible.

Is it possible to kind of set the kernel to a clean installation where no
video drivers are interfering?

Let's take a different tack. Can you boot the system and get to a console? If you boot to a blank screen, you might have to Type Ctrl-Alt-F2 to get to a console from which you can log in. If you cannot do that, we will have to get in using a chroot environment. Then, send your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file to pastebin.com and post the link here. You can do that from the console (without X) using a utility such as wgetpaste (which you will have to install using Pacman). Also, you might want to pastebin the output of lspci -nn and provide us that link as well.
Rather than using a shotgun, let's use a scalpel.

Question: Can I get collections/tags back? Hard drive crashed - saved

My computer crashed but before it did I was able to back up all the photos in my Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 to an external hard drive as well as to a disk.
I now have a new computer, running Vista.
I opened Adobe and all of my collections and tags are lost. I have over 1000 photos and had them all tagged and in collections. This is a huge loss. Is there any way to get my tags and collections back?
I'm just sick over this...........They are photos organized by family groups for a family reunion.
The names and captions did show up.
I'd appreciate any help I can get!

It is the users responsibility to maintain a backup of their files.
If you have failed to keep a backup, that is not good.
If the content is on your iDevice and it was purchased via iTunes, connect the device (DO NOT SYNC) then select File > Transfer Purchases.
If the content is on the device but was not purchased via iTunes, you're out of luck mostly. Do a google search, you can find utilities that will allow you to extract the content.
If you are in the US and running iTunes 10.3 or later, there is an option to redownload previously purchased iTunes content. To do this, in iTunes select Purchased, then at the bottom select Download Previously Purchased. There are options for Music, Apps, and iBooks. Select the "Not in My Library" option and download what you want.

Where can I get iDA 1.2 Patch 1 ?

I'm having some problems with iDA1.2 mail filters using new browsers. A Sunsolve search mentioned it was fixed in iDA1.2p1. But, there was no link to the patch. I checked my iDA's setup/setup.inf file and the version is 1.2 with no mention of a patch level.

There were two download options, a full install and a patch. I downloaded the patch.
I'll try the full download. That's what test machines are for. :-)
BTW, I'm using Mozilla 1.7.11 and Java 1.4.2_06-b03 on Solaris 9.

How can I get the console Output generated by a exe file

My iMac has a Kernel Panic screen come up on start up and I can't get past it no matter what I try. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you can get past the kernel panic screen, there are several

I have a question about updating the kernel patch to the latest version Can a kernel patch be directly updated from any lower version to the latest version by applying the latest patch even if the kernel patch number itself has changed like the below scenarios
1. Can I directly update the kernel pacth 122300-51 to 122300-57
2.Can I directly update the kernel patch 142909-17 to 144488-17

Basically, yes, but you need to take care of the patch dependencies. Usually a kernel patch with a new patch ID will require the last revision of each former kernel patch to be installed first.
Either you use patchadd on the most recent kernel patch you want to apply and then work yourself back through the patch dependencies, or you use PCA (http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/) which will do this job for you. Use e.g. "pca -l 144488" to get a list of all the patches which have to be installed first to get the system up to the wanted kernel patch level.

Kernel patch problem

I try kernel patch 114 to 159 but I have a problem
Distpatcher is being yellow "Running but Dialog Queue info unavailable" and WP Table is empty in SAP MMC but I can logon SAP on SAP GUI.
and I can see workprocess in task manager.
I aleady patch in QAS and DEV . there are not any problems.
I think MSCS may be cause of problem.
PRD was confiured MSCS.

For MSCS there is diffrent procedure to stop SAP for kernel upgrade.
For windows, open cluster administrator, you will find ur SAP application instance..then righ click on it and select "take offline"
you SAP MMC may not go show u gray colour, sometimes it will be yellow. then in ur stopped node host, copy ur kernel files. then start server using "bring online" option in cluster administartor.
do not forget to take backup of ur old kernel before switching the kernel.

installing cs4 there are updates but i can't load them automatically. I did

HT4527 How can I get me songs from my iTouch to my new iPhone? iTunes does not recognize the songs that I got from my own CD collection. My laptop is not a Mac so senuti does not work.

I have an iTouch with songs that are on there from my CDs as well as purchased songs from iTunes. Currently my iTouch plays all of my music. When I went to sync my new iPhone4S using my PC (Windows with latest upgrade), it only will sync songs I purchases from iTunes. It appears all of the music on iTunes that I put there from my CDs have an ! next to them, and they will not sync to my new phone. How can I get my iTunes account to recognize my CDs as legal muisc that I can put on my iPhone? I do not want to reload all 1,600 songs from my CD collection.

Songs with an exclamation mark against them are songs that iTunes can't find. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the files, or that the drive the live on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

I dragged one photo to the My Pictures folder in Finder. I knew it was just one photo because it was the only one highlighted in yellow. When I saw it in Finder, it was labled iPhoto. I thought it was the wrong picture, so in Finder I deleted the file. When I got back to iPhoto, EVERYTHING was missing. Events, photos, recent, and even trash. At this point, I went into my Trash. I searched for iPhoto and iPhoto was there. I opened it and it was still empty. All I want to do is to get my collection of photos back!

Best solution is to load your backup from before you did this?
Where did you drag the photo from?
Have you tried dragging it from the trash to the desktop? What size is it?
What size is your iPhoto library in the pictures folder?
