Hi.I just updated my iPod touch's software and I basically lost everything that was on it.It won't let me restore my back-ups and I'm freaking because I had everything on my iPod.Any idea how to fix it?Or can it be fixed?

Restore from iTune Backup
1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Select Network and input Password>Join
9. Enable Location Service>Next
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Select Restore from iTune Backup
12. You will see picture of USB cable pointing towards iPad
13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)
14. Tap Continue (computer)
15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)
16. See progress bar with estimated time (computer)
17. See Restore in Progress on iPad
18. See Apple logo
19. See Apple and Progress Bar
20. Slide to Unlock
21. Copying Apps back to iPad (computer)
22. You'll see Loading/Installing/Waiting below the Apps (iPad)
23. Sync Music/Podcast/Movies to iPad (computer)
24. Sync completed (computer)

You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

Is it an iTunes backup or an iCloud backup? If iTunes, connect the iPhone, right click on the name of the iPhone under the DEVICES section in iTunes. Click on Restore from Backup.
If iCloud, on the iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. When the device powers back on, you will see the original setup screens you saw when your iPhone was fresh out of the box. One of these screen asks you if you want to restore. Choose Restore from iCloud backup.

You can restore the phone and when prompted to restore choose from icloud account. BUT MAKE SURE there is 1.) an icloud backup for your phone. 2.) you are using the same apple id.

Actually I couldn't use internet for approx 1 year. I thought My every detail is safe on FF server Now. when I am trying to sync my details in old sync, in first few attempt it can't login, but eventually it successfully logs in. but nothing is synching. So tried the same thing in New Synch. but When I try to login with same details It says unknown account. So I thought making new account with same id would overwrite data with new one. so I didn't. It's "safe" when you use it as intended, for synchronizing Firefox data between multiple devices. Sync was not intended to be used as you tried to use it; as a backup medium or "cloud".

Since you've a Retina machine, you have flash storage. If you can get to the Recovery partition (it sounds as if that's where you are? Nonetheless, you can boot into your Recovery partition by holding down the command and R keys whilst booting).
Use Disk Utility to verify and, if needed, repair your flash storage. If it can't be repaired, call back.

I use Jquery to draw the signature. How can I get the svgOutput back to my server listener.???
e.getSource give me the error e.getSource is not function.
Both of function saveSignatureCapture(which calling from ADF button) and $('#save-output').click(function (event) can not send the the data back to my server listener.

iOS devices do backup automatically to iCloud providing:
iCloud Backup is turned on
It has a Wi-Fi connection
It is connected to a power source
The screen is off
5GB is plenty of storage for me to backup to iCloud automatically.
I have a 64GB iPhone & a 128GB iPad both backing up to the same iCloud account and I still have nearly 2GB free.
This is mainly because media is not backed up and Photo Stream & iTunes purchases do not count against your iCloud storage.
Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Purchase history for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. My iMac has reset my profile while i've been away and i've lost all my data. What's happened and can I get my data back?

I've been away from home the past year, and thus havent logged into my profile during that time on the family iMac. The other profiles on the iMac are all normal, but while my profile username and avatar were the same, when I log in none of my data is there and it's like logging onto a new profile for the first time. I have a back up of my data, however my main concern is my itunes music as for some reason when I backed it up a year ago, it didnt get most of music. I'd just like to know how this happened and if there's a way of getting my data back. Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

If you did not back it up, then where do you think you would get the data back from?
Everything on your iphone should be on your computer. You should be syncing/importing regularly.
If you failed to do this, then it is gone.

Not very likely, even with the use of recovery software. If the content that was on your iPod is not in your iTunes library, then it looks like you may be out of luck. Sorry.
