Can I get my midi regions to look like Garagebands?

I started playing with GB recently, been a LE7.1 user for a while now...and I did find it quicker to come up with ideas and songs, but couldn't put my finger on why...then I realized in Logic Express, all my midi regions in the arrange window have musical notes, like a score, where the midi notes are, and in GarageBand, I see actual dots and lines right where they are. I prefer it the GB way, but I can't find a preference or anything that allows me to change that. Can I?

Thank You. This helps me alot to get into the masters and to see events and photos in a utilitarian way, but it is not as easy as viewing the normal iphoto format to find photos. Can I do something else or did I not do something right to not see normal iphoto in Time Machine ?

I think your JTable is editable and thats why it fails to work.
The above code will work onlyfor non editable table.
I think the default setting for editable table is like that.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

It is possible, though not through the GUI. And as Dave points out, asking for a receipt does not mean that you will get one. The magic incantations for requesting receipts are detailed, amongst other places, in this article. It requires using the Terminal, and once set affects all messages you send until you unset it again.
If you search this forum for read receipts (the topic surfaces frequently) you should find a helpful Applescript for turning them on and off, to save using the terminal.

LPX issues with LR, BFD, and the GUI looks like Garageband now...

I downloaded LPX a few days ago. Everything worked fine except BFD Eco, which is what I use almost exclusively for drum samples (primarily demo work at this stage).
I also bought an iPad Air per rave reviews of the LR app. Got that setup, and it worked, but as with other users on the forum here, it started to crash on me within moments of turning it on and pairing it with LPX. So I searched the forums and found someone who was advised to delete the .plist files under ~/Library/Preferences, then restart the machine. They were also advised to delete any old .plist files from a previous version of Logic, which I also did.
[Back story: I bought the AC7 Core app a couple years ago to try and perform transport functions from my iPhone. This app "tricks" logic into thinking it's a Mackie interface, so I figure that somewhere during the install, Logic got really confused about my using a Mackie controller which is interfering with my use of the iPad LR app. Other people are having the same issue... seems like a solid bet, right?]
So I deleted the following files:
com.apple.logic10.plist
com.apple.logic.pro.cs
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
And now LPX looks like Garageband. Check it out:
It has those crappy wood panel bars on the left and right, I don't have access to the mix window, I can only see channel strip plugins by using the inspector... this is weird! Which file did I delete that could have caused this? Or am I missing something else?
Additionally, LPX prompted me to download additional Drummer kits AFTER I went through the whole "download additional content" process, telling it to DL anything I didn't already have.
This was all a wild goose chase to reduce latency from my iPad Air to LPX. It can automate faders and sends fine, but playing drum pads and keyboard lines has a noticeable delay (about 50-100ms). So if anyone is willing to help fix the GUI, it would also be super nice if you could give me some pointers on reducing latency & improving stability with the LR.
In case anyone's interested, BFD Eco is still not functioning properly. Bought it in 2011 and apparently I need the 64-bit version. Purchased from fxpansion and now my machine can't find the install script file to actually upgrade my license. eesh.

To get out of GarageBand mode, open your preferences, go to the Advanced tab and be sure to tick "Show Advanced Tools."

I 've just installed Firefox for the first time (v9.0.1) & can't save any bookmarks. I don't get an error message & it looks like my bookmark saved but when I go in to look at my bookmarks, there are none there.

I'm also having trouble importing my favourites from IE. I've gone through the steps to Import Data for Another Browser and it looks like it has worked but when I go to view my bookmarks it is still empty.

Can I import a midi into i-tunes or garageband?

Here is what I want to do... but I need some direction.
I want to take a christmas song clip (file is a midi) and then add my voice talking over the music. After that, I want to burn it into a CD. Someone suggested doing this in Garageband. I can't seem to get the file into either program. (i-tunes or garageband) Can someone help me get this accomplished? My end product is kind of like a commercial jingle. Thanks! Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Based on your "wiretap" post, you didn't specify that the Christmas CD you had was a MIDI file. Please disregard my reply to that post, and perhaps we should stay in this post, since it is more appropriate to your question.
You need to have GarageBand 2 to drag-and-drop a MIDI file onto the timeline. Unfortunately, I haven't upgraded yet, so I am only familiar with GB 1. I can help you with the audio aspect of this though.
I would recommend dragging the MIDI file into GB 2, and then exporting that file to iTunes first before adding your voice. The reason is, you may want to turn down the music a little during your talking. This will be much easier with an audio (AIFF) file that you import, rather than a bunch of MIDI tracks.
*So, make a new song and drag the MIDI file into GB 2. Play it and make sure that it sounds the way that you want. You can tweak the settings of various instruments, turn them up or down and adjust the mix to your liking.
*Once you are happy with the way the music sounds, you should "Export to iTunes". This command should be in the File menu, unless it's different for GB 2.
*Make a new song, and make a new blank audio track. From the Finder, go to your "Music" folder and find the folder with your name. This folder will have the AIFF file that you just exported. Drag the exported AIFF file from the Finder onto the new track in GB 2.
*Next, make another audio track for your voice. I would recommend turning off the music while you record. Make sure that the recording level is not too loud, but not too soft either. You can record your talking until you are satisfied. You can trim up your voice region, choose the best "take", etc. Turn the song back on. You can drag the voice region left or right and place it where you want, during the song.
*Depending on how loud the song is, and how loud you recorded your voice, you may need to turn the music down a little while you are speaking. You could also add a little reverb and EQ to your voice for a more professional touch.
*Once you are happy with how everything sounds, "Export to iTunes" again. Now that the AIFF file is in iTunes, you can burn a CD of it, or convert it to MP3/AAC/WAV, etc.
