Can I get my money back for a rental that wouldn't play?

I rented The Hangover on itunes. It downloaded, but when I tried to play the movie it came up with a message stating that it will not play on my screen. There was no warning that this would happen. Oh, and I have a Macbook pro that is about 18 months old.
Anyone know what my chances of getting my money back are? What is the best way to go about complaining?

    Just to close off the topic, here is Apple's official return policy for software, quoted from the Apple Store Returns & Refunds page: 
    There are some items, however, that are ineligible for return, including:
    Opened software*
    Electronic Software Downloads
    *You can return software, provided that it has not been installed on any computer. Software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.
    As the others have said, you can sell the disk to someone, but Apple will not take it back.

  • I'm being charged TWICE for one purchase, how can I get my money back for that second charge?

    I bought an album and two songs which added up to about $13 and I went to check my credit card account and saw that itunes is charging me twice for that same thing along with an extra $1 for something else. One of the transactions is on 11/05/11 while the other one is on 11/07/11 and I only bought the album and songs once and I haven't bought anything else since then. I emailed them about it and they think it's an unauthorized purchase when it isn't I know that I bought the songs but they're charging me twice for that one thing.     This also happened before where they charged me twice but it was just 2 bucks so it was a big deal but this time it's almost $14 and I want that money back.

    If they were made an on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch then to try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off' to stop in-app purchases being made, and depending upon the iOS version on it you might also have a Require Password setting on the Restrictions screen which you can set to 'Immediately'

    You've visited the developer's website and tried contacting them (there should be a link on the app's description page in the store) ? If you have and you haven't got anywhere with them the you can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
