I Have NBN and I'm trying to find a way to use my cordless phone through my AirPort Extreme device. Any suggestions?

What is your goal in using your cordless phone with your AirPort Extreme base station? Is it to configure it as an IP phone? Does it support this type of feature or does it rely on a standard POTS phone line connection?
If your goal is to set up an IP phone system at your home, you may want to consider another modem/router that has this as an offered service as the Apple routers do not. I would suggest that you contact your NBN provider to see what they offer/support.

As AT&T has not officially unlocked your phone it must have been hacked to use another carrier. So when you updated it has relocked itself to AT&T. There is no official unlock so this will happen anytime you update.

There are two probably causes:
Your ISP is blocking the port used by Entourage to send mail and the ISP used by the other wireless networks is not.
OR
Your ISP doesn't like OS X's default MTU seting of 1500. If this were the case it should also affect any large file transfers you try to make from your Mac to the Internet.

Can you get multiple phone socket working with BT ...

Hi,
So I recently had a BT engineer visit, he connected the phone line on the main socket then left. A week later they turned my BT infinity on.
It works great but the main socket is in a different room to my office. I have a phone socket in my office right next ot my pc. But when i plug my router into this socket it fails to produce an internet connection.
Is there a way to get multiple phone sockets working? I would like to move my hub so it is in my office but the socket isnt giving off internet.
Any help is much appreciated.

You need to identify the cables connected to the removable faceplate beside the red arrow - these are the extension cables to other sockets in the house.
Connected from here you will get voice only - not data.
If there is more than 1 cable you need to identify the one to your office, remove it and fit the cables to the yellow arrow connections.
You only need to connect the cables connected to 2 & 5 (there may be more connected to the faceplate)
guide on this link although it does not tell you the 2/5 connection order - I don't think polarity matters - but someone with more knowledge can advise.
A potential problem you may have is if there are other extension sockets connected to your office socket you use (and not the faceplate) as these then are not suitable for phone - only data.
With DECT phones and the need for just one basestaion not really a probem nowadays but you need to know where each socket in your house is connected from, and what you want to use it for.
If you have any BB problems, BT will also insits you plug the router/modem back into the master socket for all testing.
EDited to add - a krone insertion tool is best for inserting the cables to the socket and has a nice pick to disconnect also. They are easy to use - search you tube for a video.

What were you doing, and when you say it is stuck at iTunes, do you mean it is displaying a screen that shows iTunes and a USB cable?

TS1363 Tried to update and restore 3gs through itunes. To no avail. Tried disabling security. software is latest. Error message (-1). Help! How can I get my phone back working?

Check the Verizon site for examples. They will have more than webmail. You don't have to look for anything specific to Apple Mail. There will be settings for Outlook, just use those.

Updated iphone 4s and now I can't get my phone to work anymore?

I have the iphone 4s and I backed it up to Itunes and then retored and updated everything and now I can only get my iphone on and it keeps asking to restore it over and over again with Itunes, I hve restarted both my Mac and my Iphone and still can't get past this part.

Can't get my printer to work with Airport Express

I got a new MacBook today, everything is up and running, so is my Airport express with my DSL line, but my printer is not responding to the connection. I plugged in the USB port from the printer to the Airport and the printer and it doesn't work. I restarted things, went to troubleshooting... nothing helped. It's not the printer because if I plug in the printer USB port directly to my MacBook it works. Anyone have any advice? Thank you!

The directiions on your site are for the Printer Setup Utility that was part of OS X 10.3 Panther. There is no optoin for "IP Printing" in the Tiger Printer Setup Utility, so I don't get how everyone was able to follow the intructions successfully. I sure can't. Is it enough to just add the printer normally using the default browser (as a Bonjour printer) and selecting the aformentioned GIMP driver manually? If not, I need help getting instructions that pertain to Tiger IP Printing. Thanks.

Can't find printer connected by ethernet through airport extreme. All I get is a generic error message - I'm using printer IP address as address.

Old imac using snow leopard printed just fine to Ricoh cl2000n printer that is connected to airport extreme via ethernet (as was the imac). New iMac with Lion otherwise same cable configuration and the computer cannot find the printer. It searchs and spits out a generic error message. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Airport Express G getting Port Forwarding to work from Airport Extreme N

I have an Airport Extreme N connected to a cable modem. I have an Airport Express G in another room, connected to a Local Ethernet Network. The AE G is setup as a WDS Remote to the AE N. Connectivity works and all is well.
What doesn't work is when I try to forward ports from the AE N to a device/system connected (via ethernet) to the AE G. The kicker is the port forwards work from "inside" the network. Outside they don't. I have been able to forward ports to anything connected to the N directly or wirelessly.
Any thoughts on what the proper configuration of the AE G or the AE N to get port forwarding to work from the AE N through to the clients of the AE G?
I have DHCP, and the clients of the AE G are getting IP addresses and working as they should.

I checked that. I can forward ports all day long to anything connected directly (or wirelessly) to the AE N. Anything connected to the AE G, ports won't forward. For some reason the AE G in bridge mode is not letting ports forward through.

Can't get PC laptop to connect to Airport Extreme base station. Help!

I've spent a lot of quality time on the phone with support staff at Apple, Earthlink, and Netgear. Now I turn to you fine folks.
I have an Airport Extreme base station. My G4 is connected to the base station via ethernet, and that works fine. My problem is with the wireless networking with our Dell laptop running Windows XP SP2. Wireless card is a Netgear WG511 with updated firmware. I've configured the network on the PC end using the Netgear Smart Wizard, rather than Windows (I don't know if that makes any difference).
Smart Wizard says the PC is connected to the network, and says that signal strength is excellent. However, there is no connection. I've tried pinging, but get no reply.
The status bar in the Smart Wizard window switches every 2 seconds from "Connected" with excellent signal to "Searching" with virtually no signal. The log shows that it's constantly connecting to and disconnecting from the network.
I've gone over IP and MAC addresses and whatever other settings I could check with all of the respective phone support people. I'm using WPA/WPA2 Personal security, and have double-checked the 13-digit password on both ends. I'm connecting using PPPoE, per Earthlink's settings.
This is maddening! Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it.

Can't get XP PC's to see airport extreme

I recently purchased an airport extreme. When I first connected it both my apple laptops and XP desktops could see and connect wireless to the internet. I then went into enable security and configure the base station. Now none of the XP machines can see the new base station or network. They see the factory default network name that no longer is functional. I cannot get my XP machines to see the AE. If i reconnect to my linksys router, all machines work fine. Any ideas?

Final Conclusion, AE does NOT work with XP PC's trying to connect wireless using USB Linksys adapters. If you have a mixed enviornment, Mac and XP and want to connect XP desktops via USB adapters, DON'T use Airport Extreme!! I have had 5 conversations with Apple Tech Support and no luck in this group although there are great and knowledgable people in this forum. Thank you all for your help!! I currently have my Linksys router connected via ethernet port directly to my AE so that all the computers in my home have wireless access. With that said, TIME TO SEND AE BACK TO APPLE. Why spend $179 and have a nonfunctional network with AE when my previous Linksys router worked with both Apple and XP products just fine. Oh yeah, you know I had no prayer of getting my printer to work with AE. HAHA, not even up for that battle.

I've checked various message boards and many seem to have this problem but I can't find a clear solution. I have a new PS3, it locations my Airport Extreme network, which uses a WEP password, but when I type in my password it won't accept it. I don't know how to convert my simple password to the ASCII or Hex password it seems to need, and I'm not sure how to reset my Airport so as to start all over. Has anyone else successfully configured their PS3 to Airport Extreme and have any advice for me?

Launch AirPort Utility, double-click on your AirPort Extreme in the left column, then pull down the "Base Station" menu and select "Equivalent Network Password".
