Can i get older versions of apps
i have 2nd gen ipod. i updated all my apps. now over half my apps cat be synced to my ipod. can i undo the app update or redownload a prev version?
I just had this problem also, Netflix app was upgraded and now won't work with my ipod touch
When iTunes upgrades apps the old ones are sent to the trash, so if you lost your old version recently (or you don't empty your trash bin often) it should be sitting in the trash clearly labeled with the app name and version. Once you find the version you want you can move it to the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder (this is the path /Users/[your acct here]/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Automatically Add to iTunes but its easier to just search for the folder in any finder window...) and iTunes will revert to to older version.
I then sync'd my ipod touch and turned off the sync apps afterward, so I dont unnecessarily lose my compatible versions.

The only way is to jailbreak and download cracked apps, but I would recommend you wouldn't do that as this is piracy and jailbreaking is illegal in some countries.

I have the same problem. I have many Apple software in use like iMovie, Keynote, iPhoto, FinalCut. When I do setup another Mac I always use 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. I need this because of PPC Software thats important for my work. But then I need Software that runs on 10.6.
So how can I get the older versions? I suppose Apple wants us to buy it for each machine we run, right? But if I do not get older versions in the store, I only can use copies of the downloads I made earlier.
As I see it, Apple does force us to always use the newest system. I do not like that. -

No, not unless you previously downloaded an older version on iTunes on the computer and it is still on the computer somewhere.

I have a subscription for Captivate 7 but also need Captivate 6. How can I get older versions?
I have an opportunity to do some work for a company that is using Captivate 6 but I'm using Captivate 7. As we all know, the software isn't backwards compatible, so all my CP7 project files do not work as expected when opened by a CP6 user. How can I get Captivate 6, too? I can run one version on my MAC and the other on my PC, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Tried to upload Fire Fox 5. When I tried replace the icon has a circle with a line through it. After looking into it further I noticed my system is not compatible. I only have mac 10.4.11. Is there a way to get an older version again. I really like Fire Fox.

Where can I get older versions of ITunes?
I have a little sharware program called Awaken that turns on Itunes in the morning to wake me up. I have really enjoyed it. However since I have upgraded Itunes to 6.0.2 I get a crash with either a kern-protection failure or kern invalid address message. I've fixed permissions, run Norton, wasted time for a few days trying to figure it out. I have written others but no one has answered me.
After reading negative comments on Itunes 6.0.2 I thought maybe that might be the problem.There can be many reasons why a Kernel Panic occurs. It can be a coincidence that it happened after upgrading iTunes.
To find earlier versions of iTunes, do a Google search for iTunes601.dmg or something similar.

I'm looking since ~1h30 for the skype 2.0.0.72 version, but I found nothing, I can only download the last (2.1 beta).
I need the 2.0.0.72 because it works better than with the newer on my laptop..

I can't get to download the app store after all the updates. I have version 10.6.8 and there are no more available updates for my operating system.

Went to update apps on ipod touch IOS 4.2.1. I did a factory reset and now I can't get most of my apps back & can't download version 5.0 which I need to get back some of my apps. I paid for some of these. I've tried my backup and it didn't put them back on.
If your iPod Touch is too old for iOS 5 or later... there is not much you can do.
When/if you get a later model iDevice you will be able to Download Past Purchases using the Original ID that made those Purchases. (providing they are still supported by the Developer)
