Can I get reimbursed for a movie rental if my Apple TV isn't playing sound?

I rented a movie and already starting playing it when I noticed my Apple TV isn't playing any kind of sound.
The sound issue may take more than 24 hours to resolve, and I haven't been able to watch the movie.
I've been through the Community looking for a solution to the Apple TV sound issue, and still haven't had any luck.

If you're not getting the same problem with sound on films/TV programmes that you've bought (if you are then you could try re-posting in the Apple TV forum on here for how to fix it) then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
Or you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • How can I get credit for a movie rental that never downloaded?

I tried to rent a movie from iTunes through my Apple TV.  The movie has partially downloaded, but repeatedly stops, and I have to resume the download.  Many times it goes into an "Authorizing" state, but never starts the movie.  Now my 24 hour period to watch the movie has expired.  How can I request a credit on my account?

Can I get reimbursed for apps that do not work?

    Hi...
You can contact iTunes support here and see if they will make an exception:

They usually respond within 24 hours.
    Hope this helps.

I have several episodes of a TV show where it says download error, tap to retry and when I do it repeats the error message.  Can I get it to work or get reimbursed for the ones I'm missing?  I'm using an iPad 1 which has worked fine for all the others.

    Hi AlpineJean,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues downloading some episodes to your iPad.
I would first suggest you sign out of your iTunes account on your iPad, restart the device and sign back in.
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap on your Apple ID account > Tap Sign Out
Click on the link below for additional troubleshooting steps with more details and screenshots.
I've quoted some helpful highlights for you:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
To view or download previously purchased:
    TV Shows on iOS
Open the iTunes Store on your device.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Tap More from the bottom navigation bar.
    Tap TV Shows.
Locate the TV show episode or series you would like to download.
Once you've located the TV shows you are looking for, tap the download button.
The TV show will begin downloading.
Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer on the iTunes Store. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.
If this does not resolve your issue, please follow these instructions for support from the iTunes Store:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
    Have a great day!

  • HT1904 Can I get reimbursed for some purchases my child did

How do I get reimbursed for purchases my child did

All purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and explain what happened and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
To try and stop it happening again you should be able to turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off', and you can set 'Require Password' to 'Immediately' on the Restrictions screen (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered).

  • Can i get reimbursed for grandchild buying things in free app?

where can I go to get help in getting reimbursed for my grandchild buying things in a free app.?

For the future, turn off the option to allow in-app purchases in the Restrictions setting on the iPad. You probably will also want to turn off the ability to install apps as well.
    Regards.

  • HT1657 Getting credit for a movie rental

Last night I rented Argo but it took too long to download and was unable to watch it. I'm not sure if I can watch it now before it expires. Is there anyway I can get credit for the rental? If so, how?

Apple's policy on sales of digital content is that all sales are final. If however you wish to appeal to Apple, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you.

  • How can I get reimbursed for an unauthorized account charge by Fruit Ninja HD Free through In App Purchase?

    Hi There,
I was not able to report my problem through the link given on the receipt. Therefore, I am reporting my problem here hoping that someone will care about it:
On the 2nd of June 2012, I have downloaded some free game apps in the Apple Store using my IPad. While downloading I have entered my Apple ID and password only once and only for downloading the App. The games were for my 6 years old son to play. He does not know my password nor does he speak English. I left him alone for one hour to play with the games I downloaded. One day after, I found in my e-mail inbox a dozen billing receipts from ITunes for "In App Purchases" of the the so-called "free of charge" game titled "Fruit Ninja HD Free" developed by Halfbrick Studios. In total, my credit card has been charged to pay 363, 61 Euros! This is outrageous! I have never authorized these In App Purchases!  I was relaxed to leave my son alone playing because I thought if he pushed the purchase button, he could not complete a transaction because he does not know my password. Apparently I was wrong! I am a regular user of ITunes App Store who made In App Purchases in the past (please see my purchase history) and this is the first time I am abused! Fruit Ninja HD Free is the only app that abused my goodwill and completed transactions without asking my password. I would like to file a complaint about this abuse! And I can send all the bills I am charged to pay against my will! How can I get this game app (Fruit Ninja HD Free) and its developer Halfbrick Studios under investigation and my money back? I want to continue to enjoy using Apple products and the ITunes Store through my IPad, IPhone and IMac.
    Many thanks.

    Dear telwow,
Apple did not do anything to solve this problem, they said I shoud apply to ITunes which I did. However, ITunes in Belgium does not even have a customer friendly call center, and they reply with standard info if you apply by e-mail which have no relevance to my problem. As I do not have hours to spend on the phone, I tasked my secretary to call Itunes many times. In the end, she found someone to look into the matter which took months.
Simultaneously, I applied to VISA through my bank for fraud investigation. I had to cancel my credit card. In the end, VISA paid my money back and they said they will deal with ITunes. I received a new credit crad from VISA with a new number. I tried to use this new card in the ITunes but ITunes did not accept my card because in their system my name has been registered as if I have commited the fraud! This was again outrageus! I have complained about this to both Belgium and the USA Apple/ITunes, but no satisfactory answer was given. I am now using my wife's credit card to buy smth I want in ITunes. But because of my very unpleasant experience I am not buying much on ITunes store. I am also considering to quit Apple all together. This is unfortunate because I have been an apple fan until I had this experience.
Many thanks for sharing your problem.

  • How can I get credited for 2 movies that have failed to download to my iPhone for my vacation (no computer, on vacation)?

I tried to download 50/50 and hangover 2 on friday before leaving and 50/50 keeps getting errors and restarting an the hangover 2 moves at slug speed and keeps stopping, then restarting. Very annoying.

If you are getting an 'invalid security code' message then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

  • HT1657 My rental movie is not playing, and I have 24 hours to watch it, and I did want to watch it tonight, can I get reimbursed?

My rental movie is not playing, and I have 24 hours to watch it, and I did want to watch it tonight, can I get reimbursed?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • HT3209 How can i be reimbursed for a rented movie that was unplayable?

I rented an HD movie which was not playable on my MacBook Air
Processor  1.8 GHz Intel Core i7
The rental period expired and i am now out my 4.99
How can i get reimbursed or receive a credit?

Unplayable in what way ? If the download was corrupt then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
If unplayable in terms of your Mac not supporting it then all purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT4095 I recently purchased 2 movies ( the crooks and White House down) but was unable to watch them.  Every time I tried it said not loading.  So I would like to know how I get reimbursed for these from iTunes?

I recently purchased 2 movies and was unable to view them.  It kept saying unable to load movie when it had clearly downloaded. How do I get reimbursed for these 2 movies as I was unable to watch them and am pretty fed up with iTunes right now?

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the films from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films or if they re-download with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
