Can I get rid of data and insurance but keep my plan?
I recently lost my job and I am looking for some way to cut costs. I currently have an iPhone 4 with unlimited data. I am considering selling my phone and going back to an older phone that I had before I renewed my contract. Is there a way for me to change my plan and eliminate the data and the insurance on the iPhone but keep the 700 minutes/month without paying an early termination fee? I just wanted to see if anyone knew before I put the phone up for sale.

I am sorry to learn you lost your job. To clarify what was stated by mdram4x4, you would be able to keep your current calling plan and still ask to have the insurance and the data plan removed. There would only be an early termination fee if you canceled your line of service and were under a customer agreement for that line. The amount of the early termination fee prorates $10.00 less a month the longer you remain under a customer agreement. We can remove the insurance and the data plan removed upon request. When you sell your iPhone to go back to an older device, you would no longer have the unlimited data plan. You may need to add a data plan on your line depending on the phone. We offer different tiered data plans that you can review at this link. Also the warranty would not transfer over to the new owner. Every ten minutes a popup on my 4s appears saying "unable to download" with the option of "done" or "retry". After talking to Apple for 3 hours I figured it out myself.
Tre here was a singular failed song on iTunes on the computer that was trying to download and messing everything up. Maybe if you use iTunes on the computer and have a little mooch you'll find the same thing. I think it was hidden in the purchased part of it -

On my iPhone I see my friend's Apple ID when I want to update my Apps and can't seem to login with my own. What's wrong? How can I get rid off my friend's ID and login with my own when I want to update or download apps? I'm still not clear about what you mean about unlocking your phone. Normally, "unlocking" means entering the password if the phone is locked, which you should be able to do from the phone itself. If you want more help with this, you really need to take the time to furnish all the relevant details.
I have a MacBook Pro, and yes when I connect my iPhone on it it shows up in the devices list.
When you do that & click on the iPhone in the list, then click on the "Apps" tab at the top, do you see the apps you can't update listed there? If you click on the "Store" menu item does it show near the bottom that you are logged in with your own Apple ID?
As wjosten said, it sounds like one way or another, the apps you cannot update were obtained using your friend's Apple ID. You need to delete them from your phone & try buying them again. If they were in fact paid for with your own Apple ID you won't have to pay again; otherwise you will. -
I was trying to bookmark a page, using the "Choose" menu in the bookmarks. I must have touched a key by accident, and a box with a blue outline & the name of one of my folders appeared in my bookmark drop-down menu. At first the box contained the folder name, then I was trying to delete the box, and erase the name, thinking it might get rid of the box, but it didn't. I can't get rid of this box! It obstructs the view of what is underneath. It stays in the same position as I scroll up & down in the drop-down menu, and it hides what is underneath. Please help me get rid of this box. It is driving me crazy! Thanks!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I accidently installed NoScript when trying to remove adverts/pop-ups. Now it's causing problems on various sites I regularly use and I can't get rid of it. It doesn't show up on Tools/Add- ons so I can disable and JavaScript has been disabled, even though it shows as 'Enabled'.

How can I get rid of a system dialogue that keeps reappearing?
Ever since the latest system update, when my Apple TV goes into the slideshow mode, a dialogue box keeps popping up. It briefly disappears when the picture changes but I can't get rid of it permanently. It reads:
"Wirelessly send what's on your ios device or computer to this display using Airplay. To learn more, go to apple.com/airplay. (1) Choose Wi-Network [name of my local Wi-fi network appears] (2) Choose this Apple TV."
I assume that the numbers 1 and 2 are options but no action I take on the Apple TV remote or the Logitech universal remote I use clears the dialogue.
How can I eliminate this dialogue? It really defeats the purpose of the slide show!Same issue for me. I've updated the Conference Room Mode, but now when I start the slideshow it goes back to the Apple TV Menu? Any advise? Thanks!

How can i get rid of my .me account but still have my .icloud account?
for some reason i keep getting unwanted email from a bunch of different people sent to my .me email account. i would like to know if i can close it and just use my .icloud account. i dont want to restart with a new email account due to the fact the all my apps, music and itunes items are linked to my .icloud/.me account. but i dont want to recieve anymore .me emails... therefore i would like to know how can i get rid or just close my .me email account... thanks!!!!

Howto get rid of duplicates in iTunes but keep albums complete
I try to get rid of duplicates in iTunes but came across the following problem:
In File -> display duplicates tons of duplicates show up, but when I delete one file the entry is the itunes-library is deleted as well and I will miss this song in that specific album.
Is there a solution to refer to 1 file on disk with multiple entries in my library, to keep my albums complete with the correct ID3-tags (meta-data) and get rid of duplicate files on disk. This would save me a lot of space on disk.
Or is the correct way of avoiding copies of files in iTunes, to drag-in the file once and link with various album-playlists to it? Then you still missing the possibility of saving meta-data of those playlist-links, right?iTunes does not have the ability to show just one file in multiple albums. So you'll have to keep the multiple files for multiple albums.

How can I get rid of firefox, and the download everytime i go to home page
Firfox Setup Stub 32.0 exe, automatically downloads itself every time I go to the my home page. Why? I don't use firefox, I like Chrome. I have downloaded FF before, just to try to get rid of the annoying download page
Have you set the Firefox download page as the home page in Chrome? It can happen by accident. You should be able to set it back to the default in the Chrome settings. Here's how to set the home page in Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95314?hl=en
Btw, if you've stopped using Firefox a while ago, it has gotten much faster and more lightweight recently. You might want to give it another try.
