Can I get some sort of discount to download Photoshop CS5 if I already have the CD for it?
Excuse me if this sounds like a silly question but I just wanted to make sure.
I got a MacBook Air with no CD ROM. I already have Photoshop CS5 for Mac but it's a CD. Is there any way of transferring the Photoshop software to this new Mac with little or no extra charge?

You can download and install the trial version of CS5 for free at any time from:

The trial is the fully functional version but with a 30 day time limit before it stops working.
You just need to enter your CS5 serial number to remove the 30 day time limit (so it keeps working indefinitely) and license it on your computer.

I mistakenly asked iTunes to download a TV series and I can't get it to stop trying to download it. how do I kill the download?
You've got to be freakin' kidding me. I'm in Brazil, I accidentally started a 2.2GB download that it says will take 592 minutes to download, and there's no way I can stop it and download something else until that first download finishes? I would have thought it was unthinkable 15 years ago that anyone would build an app that downloads things but doesn't allow the option of canceling the download, but in this day and age? So much for Apple making intuitive, user-friendly products.

I would recommend syncing your photos from your computer to your iPad by using iTunes:

I understand that you are unable to print from your Mac running Yosemite on your HP Officejet Pro 8100. I am trying to find at least the trial version so that I can enter the serial number that I have on the back of the case and activate the full version so I can get some work I need to get done finished. My laptop was thrown away after a flood in my basement and I believe the cd was still in it. I don't recall ever taking it out.
Forget your existing disc and serial number. They won't work.
Download the new non-activation version of CS2 (applies to CS owners as well) from

Install then enter the new serial number provided at that link. -

With iTunes on your computer assuming you have synced your iPhone with iTunes and/or backed the iPhone up with iTunes.

You shouldn't need the serial number with taking it to an Apple Store unless it has changed. Your cell phone number should be enough. -

Is there a problem with the installer media you bought? If you bought Aperture 3 as a boxed retail version, you can download the Trial version again here:
Aperture 3.1 Trial
After you install it, run immediately software update from the -menu. You can unlock the Trial version with the serial number that came with your boxed CD version.
The licence that came with your boxed version entitles you to install it on two macs - one Desktop mac and one portable.

I just bought an iPod touch 4th generation 8GB for $199.99 but then when the iPod touch 5th generation came out, the 4th generation was still $199.99, but for a whole 16GB. Is there a way I can get some sort of free space?

I've twice tried to use iTunes match. It stalls in step 2. I've rebooted my iMac computer and it still stalls. Apple's taken the $25 but not delivered the service. Can I get some personal help? There are 12,733 songs, a few dozen of which are not going to be in the Apple music library because they are unique to my collection. Also, some titled "Track XX" and no artist. I assume these would either not upload or else just be uploaded. But, after an overnight of step 2, the iTunes match program was still on song number 7384 or 12733 (it was on that number for over 12 hours). Looking in the music library, activating the iCloud icon and status fields, there were hundreds of songs with the status "waiting."

Well it could still be a software problem if you installed a third party program after the OS X wipe and install, because by booting into Safe Mode it disables certain functions of OS X and hardware. Check for updates or problems for all your third party software, include everything, including menulets, System Preference panes, hacks and so forth.
If you restored any sort of software from backup like TimeMachine, it likely was corrupted data and now is returned.
If the college tech support found a lot of dust clogging the rear exhaust vents behind the fans, then likely the heat damage done to the machine has already occured and can't be reversed. Video cards are usually first to go, which Safe Mode does disable the video card somewhat.
Run through this list of fixes, it's systematic in nature, also has a Hardware Test to see what's going on

I don't have IMAQ vision, where can I get some super basic easy VI's to get images from my IMAQ PCI-1424 board, without Vision?? is there some kind of tutorial that will help me get started from the ground up in designing VI's? Also I am trying to run the HL Snap in picture control.vi and I keep getting an error that says:

d that I have KLI-2113, but when I try to change anything under properties like the window size and then apply it, it says error removing old camera. why does that do that? Some of the other drivers sort of work and let me change the settings. I don't know if they work right though. I can get atleast some response to light from the CCD chip.

There is an example on how to display images in LabVIEW without having the full IMAQ application.
You can always convert the images to bitmaps (flattening) and display them in a picture indicator. If you are going to do some image processing within LabVIEW, this may be the way to go.
About the error you are getting, hopefully the above example will help you in resolving the issue. If the problem persist, it will be more beneficial if you can post the code. Also, you may get better answers if you post your question in the Vision forum.
