Can I get the junk filter to ignore Gmail's 'spam' folder?

I could put the junk into the 'spam' folder, but having two categories is really useful. Gmail picks up penile enlargement and mail order brides, while 'junk' has things that require decision. Can I stop 'junk' looking in 'spam'?

use this add-on to make two junk folders https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/folderflags/

  • How do I get the junk filter on the MAC to also filter email on IPhone and IPad?

I have a MAC, IPad and Iphone and am using Icloud to keep calenndars, photos and music up to date.  however, my email junk filter on the MAC doesn't filter via Icloud for email on the Ipad or Iphone.  It would be great while traveling to not waste time and effort deleting junk mail.
    thanks

  • When I try to move the new firefox icon into my OSX applications folder I get a message telling me I don't have permission. How can I get the new version of Firefox into my applications folder?

I downloaded the new version of firefox for Mac OSX.
I dragged the firefox icon over my applications folder.
A message window asked if I wanted to replace an older version of the application. I clicked "yes".
Another message window popped up and said I did not have permission.
    What now?

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

You can check the file prefs.js in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and remove the line(s) related to that extension (procon.password).

  • JDev 101304 - ADF JSF - Can I get the viewId of the page in a Filter?

    Hello again:
1.- I want to configure a Filter in my web.xml.
2.- I want to do some validations in the code, but one of those validations is based in a pattern of the jsp's names.
3.- I notice that the viewId's page is the same that the full name of my jsp starting on the public_html folder (the app root).
4.- Every request must be validated.
5.- Is possible to get the viewId in the Filter?
    thnks in advance.
    Alex.

    Hello Frank:
I'm trying to implement your suggestion, but in the RESTORE_VIEW phase, I can't get the viewId String to validate against it, I have this code:
    public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent phaseEvent) {
    System.out.println(phaseEvent.getPhaseId() + " - " +
    (phaseEvent.getFacesContext().getViewRoot() != null?
    phaseEvent.getFacesContext().getViewRoot().getViewId():null ));
and this is the output: (when I navigate from the two.jsp to the three.jsp)
    07/05/11 15:30:10 RESTORE_VIEW 1 - null
    07/05/11 15:30:10 APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES 2 - /two.jsp
    07/05/11 15:30:10 PROCESS_VALIDATIONS 3 - /two.jsp
    07/05/11 15:30:10 UPDATE_MODEL_VALUES 4 - /two.jsp
    07/05/11 15:30:10 INVOKE_APPLICATION 5 - /two.jsp
    07/05/11 15:30:10 RENDER_RESPONSE 6 - /three.jsp
OTHER ISSUE RELATED: I want to validate against the page I'm going to, not the page I came from, so if yo see the output, all the phases print the "previous" page, only the RENDER_RESPONSE prints the destination page.
But I read that this phase can be to late to do something like redirect the response, in case I want to do a AuthorizationPhaseListener.
    any suggestion?
    thnks.

  • How successful is the junk filter?

For quite a time I was very proud of the way the junk filter seemed to get rid of mail that had found its way past the server's filter, but recently I seem to get more and more junk. One of the typical problems that beats the filter is the use of random letters to stand for a username (eg. fgfsjdfhsk). Is there no programming that can put an end to this?

Is there no programming that can put an end to this?
Yes, there is - you should take a look at JunkMatcher - it integrates with Mail and if you set it up correctly to match your needs, it will be extremely efficient in catching spam (I get a false negative about once in two months and I do get a lot of spam...)

  • HT1947 Remote app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?

'Remote' app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required.
OK, I understand that new versions make use of facilities that come with new versions of IOS, but there is/was a version that runs on 3.1.3 and therefore, I assume 4.2.1. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?
The app store seems to ignore all legacy equipment owners, and want me to spend loadsa money to get the latest shiny toy. It probably makes business sense, but I dislike companies that take that approach. This is my first venture into smart phones, and I like the IOS interface, but I'm not sure I can afford the maintenance.

This is standard for Apple.  While there is little official mention of the software support lifespan for equipment, typical support has been about 4-5 years for computers.  It strikes me that newer items, especially mobile devices, are not built as sturdily nor do they have the hardware upgrade capabilities required to keep up with newer systems.  When we bought an iPhone 4S we were told by the person in the store we'd probably be looking at a newer model in two years.  The iPhone 3G could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old, putting it well into.
As for app availability, Apple typically pulls old software versions from its site when new versions appear.  If it is a non-Apple app then I guess it is up to the vendor. It is indeed tiresome but it is not at all unusual.  Since I only ever run used Macs, I download current versions even though my computer won't run them, stick them on a hard drive, then I have them when I upgrade to a newer used computer.  If you run older equipment you have to learn a different mode of operation to exist with the Apple 'new and innovative' but 'forget about the old' philosophy.

If you use the nested sets model, this hierarchical aggregation is easy. But your mindset is still in file systems, pointer chains and procedural language programming code. You also have no idea how ISO-11179 naming rules work.
Most of the data element names are garbage! Most of your code is garbage, even after we get over the fundamental design errors.
Think about how absurd “qty” as a data element name is in a schema. Quantity of what?? From logic (specifically the Law of Identity, the most fundamental law in mathematics) that “to be” (exist) is to be something in particular; so this has to be “<something
in particular>_qty” to be valid. Your other data elemet names are also vague garbage.
We do NOT use flags in SQL; this is a predicate language like Assembly code. We do NOT set flags; we discover a current “state of being” with predicates.
Think about “GSS_Hr_Cost_Relation” as a name. Is there only one of them, as you have said?? Would also call a table of “Marriages” a “Man_Woman_Legal_Relations” ? NO! The relationship has a name of its own!
CAST(1 AS FLOAT) is better written AS a constant E1.0; but it is weird. why are you using FLOAT? Do you want rounding errors? Why do you write crap like “CAST(34.00 AS DECIMAL(16, 2)”  when an insertion of just 34.00 works better? Why do you write crap
like “CAST(0x0000a3db00000000 AS DATETIME” instead of using ISO-8601 formats, DATE and DATETIME2(0) data types?
Then you have no idea what kind of attribute a “<something>_code” is and why it cannort ever be key. Go to any library and look at the Dewey DECIMAL Classification system. The hierarchy is in the encoding itself, NOT in some multiple levels of storage.
Why do you have more NULL-able columns than the loan systems of major automobile corporations? I can answer that! Your schema is a disaster that needs to be re-done.
Putting audit data into the table being audited is both stupid and illegal! And then to make it worse, “datecreated” should have been “creation_date” if the moron knew ISO-11179 rules. But it is still a crime; what happens to the audit data when the row is
deleted or the table is dropped? Can a person with access to the data also have access to the audit trail? DOH!
The use of “NVARCHAR(50)” might be correct in places where the data actually is in Unicode varying strings. I think I have seen ~10 of them in 30 years of writing SQL. But everything does not qualify; most likely some moron using ACCESS or a ORM tool used this
default because he is both stupid and lazy. Fire him; his ignorance is dangerous to the project.
Most ISO encodings are fixed length and between 9 and 16 characters with a regular expression for validation. Not all but most.
Finally, after all the decades of RDBMS, why do you use “mat_id INTEGER IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL”?? Why do you think that the insertion attempt count of one table is a valid logical attribute, much less a KEY?
You do not know how to write an INSERT UNTO statement! Look up the VALUES () clause and row constructions.
I have decades of my life invested in SQL and RDBMS. Reading code like this is painful. Can you please get a minimal education and correct this mess? I have been asked to write a book on bad SQL and this is classic illiterate programming! Almost nothing is

  • How can I get the component LTC1060 in the multisim 10 library ?

How can I get the component LTC1060 in the multisim 10 library ?

    ahnsei ,
This is a switched capacitor filter - with a variety of configurations for each mode of operation based on the switching frequency.   To create a transistor level SPICE model would be unrealistic (which is probably why you haven't found one), so I would suggest looking at the datasheet and specifically, looking at each mode of operation and seeing if you can approximate the filter topology with an expression for the transfer function given in the datasheet (by calcuting based on the switching frequency).
Based on the expression you get, you can use the Multisim component "TRANSFER_FUNCTION_BLOCK" to plug in the correct transfer function and thus approximate the behavior of the filter in the circuit.
This transfer function can be found in the Master database -> Sources -> CONTROL_FUNCTION_BLOCKS.   There was a previous discussion giving some additional details on how to setup the transfer function block:

currently I am trying to verify how many users Lines are missing , Emp numbers , Phones  from AD with HR list available to me.
I am trying to Scan all the AD matching HR Excel sheet and want to search quickly how many accounts are active , Line Managers names , Phone numbers , locations , title , AD ID .
these are fields I am interested to get in output file after scanning Excel file and geting reply from AD in another Excel or CSV file

Can you modify this script to help me out :)
    Hi,
Depending on what attributes you want.
    Import-Module ActiveDirectory
    #From a txt file
    $USERS = Get-Content C:\Temp\USER-LIST.txt
    $USERS|Foreach{Get-ADUser $_ -Properties * |Select SAMAccountName, mail, XXXXX}|Export-CSV -Path C:\Temp\USERS-ATTRIBUTES.csv
    #or from a csv file
    $USERS = Import-CSV C:\Temp\USER-LIST.csv
    $USERS|Foreach{Get-ADUser $_.SAMAccountName -Properties * |Select SAMAccountName, mail, XXXXX}|Export-CSV -Path C:\Temp\USERS-ATTRIBUTES.csv
    Regards,
    Dear
    Gautam Ji<abbr class="affil"></abbr>
Thanks for replying I tried both but it did not work for me instead this command which i extended generated nice results
    Get-ADUser -Filter * -Property * | Select-Object Name,Created,createTimeStamp,DistinguishedName,DisplayName,
    EmployeeID,EmployeeNumber,Enabled,HomeDirectory,LastBadPasswordAttempt,LastLogonDate,LogonWorkstations,City,Manager,MemberOf,MobilePhone,PasswordLastSet,BadLogonCount,pwdLastSet,SamAccountName,UserPrincipalName,whenCreated,whenChanged
    | Export-CSV Allusers.csv -NoTypeInformation -Encoding UTF8
only one problem is that Manager column is generating this outcome rather showing exact name of the line Manager .

  • After update to O/S 7.1.2 my iPad2 is stuck on Vertical Orientation and will not shift to horizontal as it has in the past.  How can I get the flexible orientation back??

After update to O/S 7.1.2 my iPad2 is stuck on Vertical Orientation and will not shift to horizontal as it has in the past.  How can I get the flexible orientation back??

I agree with what FoxFifth has said, but I want to add a little to the discussion and put my own twist on the explanation.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen.
If you are running iOS 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to the control center and the lock icon is in the row of icons at the top all the way to the right.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button

  • I can't get the photoshop blur filters to work!  Help.

Hello, I can't get the new photoshop cs6 blur filters to work.  The menu's are all greyed out.  Why?  I purchased my membership to the cloud, downloaded the applications (as I'm a former CS5 user), watched some great video's on some of the new features and now I wanted to try this out but it won't work.  Why not?  You have deducted money from my account.  Please help make this work correctly.

    Hi Steve,
Here is the info.  I hope this helps.
Meanwhile Adobe is sending me around and around in circles regarding my log
in and I can't seem to be able to comment on my own thread even.  This is
very frustrating.  Any and all help is very much appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hi,
Based on your code, I see your code related to
    iTextSharp Pdf.
iText is a third party library to create PDF originally written for java. iTextSharp is
the C# adaptation of that library.
Question regarding iText are better asked on the iText forum, rather than the Microsoft Forum:
    http://itextpdf.com/support
    Thanks for your understanding.
    Best regards,
    Kristin

  • TS3274 How can I get the volume to work?

We have an iPad but can't get the volume to work?

Alright now if you are talking about issues using Safari, here a few things that you can try.
